If you have to take your lighting gear on a plane,  this stand is a good choice because it will fit inside luggage that does not meet the oversized criteria of most airlines.  I have only used it with umbrellas and hotshoe flashes, which are light in weight, and it performs well with them.

Perfect for air travel

I purchased a Linco "Flora" stand a few years ago that served me well. I since bought two additional stands, and don't feel they match the "Flora" model. The rubber feet have to be glued on, the finish scratches more easily, and the support arms are softer metal. While attaching an item to one of the top screw connectors, the screw broke off inside the item and I had to hire a machinist to drill it out.

If you avoid using the top screw mount (it is very soft metal), and only use the stands for very light components, they are OK. I give the "Flora" model 5 stars...the new version barely warrants 2 stars.
