What were they thinking?
This product is half baked. The big thing they don't tell you is that the software is keyed to this cheap little keyboard they give you. If it dies or runs out of juice, you can't use the software. The first keyboard I got didn't work at all with Android, which I'm using so I can have a video output for the operator. I had to send it to them (me paying the freight) and they sent me a revised, slightly better keyboard that at least had a changable battery. But it didn't work either. Then they sent new software and I was able to make it work by programming the keys.
On top of that, the unit comes with long 15mm rods screwed into the middle strut. You can't mount it on your own rods- you need to use the ones that came with it since they are threaded for the screws. My camera wouldn't take their rods so I had to modify the unit with a double rod clamp to mount it on my camera's rods. Overall it's cheap plastic with end caps that fall off and with such low quality control that the green sticker showing which way to mount the mirror wasn't attached.
