Great little monitor, but why in the heck would it ship without a power supply (even when it's listed "in the box")??

Im still trying to figure all this out; but there turned out to be some limitations for what I needed it for. Example: It only worked with a 3ft HDMI cable. I couldn't figure out how to get it to work with a 6ft or longer cable. I needed to be a lot more mobile; nut Im sure it's user error.

Great product! Provides clean HDMI feed and audio monitoring. Would like to see some update in the menu UI, but that's more of a preference.

This monitor did satisfy everything listed in it’s description. I purchased it to use as a monitor for my black magic pocket camera. I found, however, it was too big to use on the camera, and yet it felt too small when I mounted it to a tripod or other stands. It’s construction felt a little cheap to me, and so I returned it looking for something more robust. I think I may try the Lilliput 8.7 “ monitor, as it has a bit more girth.

Have used it as an event live stream monitor. Fairly impressed, could be a touch brighter for daylight viewing, but the hood helps a lot. Build could be a bit better but can't complain too much for the price. Definitely recommended. I see using it for client monitoring or on camera monitor.

Use this on a BMPC4K. Much nicer to use than the build in viewer especially outside. Doesn't burn through batteries either. For the money, would buy again and recommend

Great monitor for amateur filmmakers looking to increase the size of their field monitor from whatever DSLR they start off on. Great price point for an additional monitor. The focus peaking works well and there seem to be no issues with the DSLR controls through the monitor. Included cable didn’t plug into my camera (HDMI standard to HDMI Mini provided), but its an easy fix with an adaptor. The package does already come with a good number of accessories that will get you started off.

It is so much better shooting video with this monitor than looking through the little screen on the camera. It gives you a better feel for what the shot actually looks like when watching on larger screen so it makes it easier to set up the shot. It is not as large as the screen you are going to playback on but the perspective for comparison is a little easier to see when using this monitor.

I cannot complain about this monitor. Build quality is good and the menu is really simple. Straight from the box has very good colors. I bought this to use with my bmpcc 4K and work great. I was thinking in a smaller one but 7” help when I need to record myself. Main use will be to achieve low angles shoots. It been just two weeks now, hope didn’t get damage.

Does the job. Awesome for the price. Easy to use, quality screen, peaking focus assist is a bonus. Exactly what you need in a field monitor.

The Lilliput A7S Field Monitor delivers a good picture and software. That is why I purchased it. Its flaw is the plastic viewing area is so cheap it is easily scratched and/or marred and also finger oils are easily smeared. Mine came with the surface marred, and it easily got another ding. To my knowledge, there is no safety glass you can use to cover the plastic surface like you would a cell phone. My concern is that if this marring continues the entire surface will be covered with these "flaws." This is why, for long term use, I give it two stars. I am going to have to find a way to cover the surface with something to protect it (like a cell phone cover would).

I bought the Lilliput A7S 7" monitor because I was extremely dissatisfied with my previous 7" monitor. That monitor was twice the cost, twice the weight, and half the resolution of the Lilliput A7S. Worst of all, the brightness, contrast, and color on that monitor could not be adjusted to yield a proper SMPTE color bar display. In contrast, the Lilliput A7S succeeds in all the ways my previous 7" monitor failed. It comes without a battery or power supply, but both are easy to come by. I had an old external hard drive that used a 12v D/C power supply that plugged into a 120v A/C source and that power supply was exactly the right power rating and configuration to power the Lilliput A7S. If you don't have one of those, a power supply and/or battery can be purchased separately. The Lilliput A7S is exactly what I hoped it would be.

1/4" BSW Thread Holes, with Shoe Mount Adapter
There are two options for mounting this monitor - the most common is the Shoe Mount adaptor which screws into a 1/4" BSW threaded hole at the bottom of the monitor and then clips into the shoe mount on top of your camera. Alternatively, you can use the VESA 75 mounting hole set in the back to attach the monitor to a sturdier mount if needed.
