As an adventure filmmaker, there are a few criteria for lighting equipment that are always a top consideration. Lights have to be compact/lightweight, cordless and effective. The Stella 5000 is all of that and more. It’s super-powerful and has incredible battery life. I really love the built-in lithium-ion battery. It charges in no time, (2hrs or less, 80% in only 1 1/2hrs) and has an easy to read Oled display on the back that offers succinct readout information even in bright sunlight. I recently used this light, as well as the Stella 2000 and 1000, in New Zealand while covering a 10-day adventure race and we really put the lights through the ringer. From caving to kayaks, in dense jungle-like terrain and through pouring rain, these lights kept up with us and exceeded our expectations time and again. They provided cinema-quality, flicker-free and beautifully consistent light in even the worst conditions. They are extremely portable. Pack very easily into any backpack or camera bag. These lights have stood heads and shoulders above the competition. They are even waterproof to 100 meters. These light were constantly getting wet, dropped, knocked over and they never skipped a beat. My experience with the Stella Pro 5000 has been tremendous. I highly recommend this light.
