Bulbs were bright as advertized

I've used these bulbs before and they lasted for intermittent use over 10 years.

Blew out quickly.

I bought four of these bulbs to go with the smith victor flood lamps. They are rated for 60 hours, but I got about 2.5 hours out of them before they blew out. I replaced one of the bulbs and it blew out immediately. So I bought four bulbs thinking I would get 240 hours out them them and got 2.5 instead. I'm not happy.

Busted Bulb

First bulb blew due to faulty socket. Adorama replaced socket set and bulb in a short period of time. Customer service was excellent.

Good ! ECT PhotoFlood Lamp 500w 120v

I am a Portrait Photographer This Bulb is suitable for indoor shooting and bright enough for Portrait. However it is easily getting hot so that I have to be careful all the time. In average, ECT PhotoFlood Lamp 500w 120v is great for casual and semi-pro shooting.

Terrible lifespan

I'd be lying if I said these were good for anything. Terrible lifespan (first bulb died after 2 hours of use). Already looking for replacements for the others even though they haven't died yet. Not daylight corrected. Seriously it's just a big ordinary light bulb. I'm sure to find some decent replacements at [...].

Depends on what your looking for...

I bought the light to add in to my hot light setup. Same wattage and color temp, thought it would fit right in. Unfortunately I didn't consider the diffusion of a regular size bulb compared to the other lights in my system. So as a result this particular light is about 2 stops darker than the other 3... not what I had i mind and too hot to get a good working distance from subject. Depending on your needs, it may be a great light. I just didn't think it all the way through.

Spare Lamps

I bought these as spares for my newly purchased Smith Victor KT1000, 2 Light 1000 watt Thrifty Photoflood Intermediate Kit with Umbrellas. I haven't used them, but the ones that came with the lamps are great, so I expect these will be too.

Horrible

I purchased 4 of these bulbs and 3 of the 4 have blown out after less than a few hours of use each. 2 of the 4 produced a horrible smell of burning metal when turned on for more than 5 minutes. That horrible smell filled the entire studio making it impossible for me to shoot anymore photos. Horrible experience and product.

Good output

The light output was perfect, the only problem was they run too hot. The plastic around the sockets melted to the bulb.

Perfectly good light, but nothing specia

Light [...] and has good color value, but it's nothing special. Light did survive an accidental fall.
