VERNON H : Will it work in a photogenic pl1250 mono light?EDWARD S : The modeling light shown resembles the 250 Watt, quartz modeling light I purchased for use in my Speedotron or Bowens strobes. I searched the internet looking for other codes that identify the modeling light. It appears to be a standard modeling light used by many manufacturers. Look at the base of the modeling light that you're replacing. There is probably a code of some sort on it. Look up the code and see if it corresponds to a 250 watt, quartz light. Next, notice the small pins on the base of the modeling light .Measure the distance from the bottom of the lamp base. Also, check the circumference. If all of these factors match it's probably perfectly safe to use. I've used the internet to find replacement bulbs for older equipment (hot lights) I've purchased. Sometimes, the replacement bulbs look a bit different. If the base matches and the wattage matches I haven't had a problem. (Note: not always true with enlarger bulbs. Other characteristics may have to be examined.)
