Thread Problems

The coupling threads were not clean; had to use a very fine file to clean them to facilitate attachment to the lens. Used it on a 28-105 Nikkor DX lens without vignetting; but at 28mm on an FX or full frame you can expect to have that problem at the wide end.

save your money

I found the rubber to be of low grade. It's bulky. it does not thread properly. Tends to pop off when pulling in and out of camera bag or gently bumping something.

Almost very good hood

About the right size, heavy enough to be durable, stiffer than Hoya hood, but plastic thread are too easy to cross thread on lens. Since they're plastic this does not harm the lens/filter but it is likely to come loose.

Great hood for the money

Works well and allows me to use my original Nikon lens cap. It is a little difficult to thread onto my lens, but I like how it collapses for easy storage on or off my lens. Good hood for the money.
