it fits the lens nicely, it does not fall off or come loose on it's own. works well for me and at very good price.

They fixed the problem where you needed to trim the pieces off. I got my lens hood today and it fit right off the bat with no problems. Quality of the unit seems to be excellent.

It's a good lens hood and great since it's less than half the cost of the Canon hood. However, I had to trim a couple of little tabs of plastic flashing before the hood would mate with my lens. After that, it's all good.

Every bit as good as the Canon brand, but at less than half the cost! Why pay more? Only downside is that the hood had a little extra plastic flashing that needed to be trimmed away before the bayonet mount would mate properly. Thirty seconds of careful trimming and I was in business.

One of the most important accessories for each lens you own. A lens hood provides multiple functions: it shades the lens from stray light, improving your contrast and image quality; in inclement weather, it can assist in keeping moisture or wind-blown debris off the lens; and it protects the front barrel from the inevitable impacts against walls, door frames, and other real-life obstacles.
