I got this panel used off of "FleaBay" before I knew anything about Refresh Rates, panel types, and before either G-Sync or Free-Sync existed. It had many kinds of inputs including HDMI and Display port. The whole world seemed to open up for me as I'd never gamed in 21:9 aspect ratio before... Amazing.

I bought from BestBuy and Just about one month after warranty. It is dead. It may have some background blue screen light but cannot display any thing. The online support team only accept those within one year warranty and need to pay ahead for repair. What is LG?

I bough this monitor a year ago (April 2015), and couldn't be happier with it. It's amazing! Crisp, clear visuals. The ultra wide format is awesome, I originally bought it because I could have three pages side by side (I do a lot of research/writing) and I must say it is incredibly comfortable and useful. Movies are awesome in wide screen, totally immersive. I can never go back to normal formats, honestly. In case it's helpful, I have a relatively old Mac Book Pro 15 inch from 2009, and bought a "Full HD 2m cable from Mini Displayport (miniDP) to Displayport (DP)" and it has been a charm. This worried me as I read some comments about not getting full res on a mac. The stand is simple, non obtrusive, and the recess allows for placement of books, objects or the laptop itself. The button menu under the screen (which is invisible) is very intuitive and once you get the hang of it it's quite useful. I like how you can quickly turn "reader" mode on, and get warm light, which comes in handy late at night to help me get my sleep. Finally, the size is perfect for me. I thought it might be a behemoth, from the online pictures, but it's actually reduced in size—it's nice and wide but not too high. Hope this is helpful, I can fully recommend the product. It's excellent for the price, and I realize I don't need an uber expensive Apple monitor to go with it.

Great monitor for multitasking. I use it with the screen split in two connected to my MacBook Air. I have two browsers open at the same time side by side, for two different aspects of my two jobs.

The four screen shot are really good for my work reference as a designer. The color effect of this monitor for my work is really good that I purchased two of this type of monitor with the other one smaller in size. There is nothing to complain about this monitor except that it took the whole length of my work table. All two monitors are HDMI connected. 3D viewing is excellent. Good performance and quality.

I wanted more area and wider. Got that. IPS panel hipe? Just a hipe, no real benefit I see. Colors are good, picture is good. You will need a DVI-D, I doubt that many can make the HDMI read 2500 X 1080. No dead areas, black level is good, no dead pixels. I'd suggest the 34" though unless a good sale. Two would be interesting.

This monitor is an excellent choice for anyone who works on Spreadsheets and routinely uses multiple windows while completing their tasks. The colour and resolution are vivid and very satisfactory for the price we paid.

This monitor was purchased for work. I do a lot of different things and utilize a number of different reports at the same time. My original thought when I upgraded my computer was to go to dual monitors. When i saw the LG 21:9 Ultrawide Monitor I jumped at the chance. This makes life so much easier - instead of going from one monitor to the other, I can use the split screen and look at both things directly in front of me. The picture comes in clear and I can change quickly between programs I'm working on. The only downside of this monitor is if you like to listen to music while you work, you'll want to invest in some different speakers as the speakers on this monitor sound terrible. If you're a multi-tasker this monitor will make your life easier!

If you are a pc gamer, need to multitask or watch movies, its exactly what your looking for. Its great for multitasking it has the space. Now for gaming and movies its perfect. It so immersive and amazing for games and movies. I personally got this instead of getting 3 monitors set up. I like it because you get a slight similar effect but with less power consumption. The build quality is good but their can be room for improvements. Its so posed to be an ips panel but their are time it feels like a tn but its not to bad.

I've been using LG monitors for several years and was thinking about getting a second one to pair up with the first but I found this one and after looking at others that were similar I went with this one. I did it mostly because I had no trouble with my other LG displays. The wide screen almost screams open as many programs you can, I'll make them all look and be very easy to use. Now instead of two displays on my desk there is just one that can do what two can. I even got lucky and caught this model on sale making it a deal that couldn't be passed up on. However the only problem is/was when I connected to my system the colors were okay but not crisp plus the text was very hard to read. After trying the HDMI cable that was included I still couldn't get it up to the resolution it was meant to run at. I found that I needed to get a different cable a dual DVI and since they were cheap enough I ordered one and as soon as it was hooked up all the issues went away and what I had in front of me blew me away. The colors and text all became very crisp and very easy to read. I had very few adjustments to make for color and when I opened up Photoshop there was no message telling me that my color profile needed to be adjusted. What a plus that was. I ran a couple of games and they looked great and with more viewing space made them easier to see what all was going on. The I opened several programs and used the included software to make each program run in its own little box, which actually worked as described. It is a very good looking display and actually takes up less space than my old 27" display. It took a little getting used to since it is narrower than my other displays but making the adjustments so things didn't look squished was fairly easy.

The monitor comes packed with features and inputs to do anything you'd want to do with this monitor. Splitting the screen between inputs is an amazing feature to have on one monitor, plus it's wide enough that it makes some sense to do so. Snapping windows to one side of the screen make it feel as if I'm using two monitors. It's really great for browsing or work. Gaming is a little less impressive in some ways. It looks great and performs very well in games, but the odd resolution makes for a slightly disappointing experience in some games. Most PC games don't handle the scaling on odd resolutions well. For example, I was playing Batman Arkham Origins, and though the game in the open world looks awesome and amazing, anytime the cutscenes or menus show, they are sized for a 1080p resolution, so it cuts off the sides of the game. That's not unplayable, but it's jarring. Some games are simply amazing with the added width perspective though. Skyrim, Dirt 3, Planetary Annihilation, and Rome 2 Total War are all great with the added width. To be clear though, if a game does have a problem, you can just play it in 1080p with black bars on the side. If I had the money to spend on the 34" version, I'd definitely do that because occasionally I do get the feeling that the height of the monitor seems too small. That might be my own bad perception though because of how wide it is. Finally, I recommend this monitor without reservation for someone who needs it for work. The size is great for production and makes browsing fantastic. For gaming, I recommend it with the caveat that you will have to be willing to deal with the occasional annoyance that comes with using a less common resolution. If you can deal with that, it's fantastic, but maybe a bit too pricey.

I often need/want to view two things at a time; email and internet, spreadsheet and word document, etc. This monitor is all I need. I thought about getting two monitors, but then I would have had to buy another graphics card for the computer. I prefer the single, ultrawide monitor. It has a smaller footprint on my desk. It also does exceptional well with movies and youtube videos.

I love this wide screen monitor, no more swapping between programs to see information between the two. Now I can place programs (i.e. Browser and Quicken side by side and get what I need. Sure I can extend my laptop display to the monitor, which I still do, yet the laptop screen is small leaving me squinting at it. I’d rather be able to put the 2 programs side by side on a monitor, which this product allows me to do! Graphics, video streaming, and resolution are great. I would have given 5 stars for everything, yet the 1 star was left off because I would have liked the monitor to have more height.

Was looking at new monitors to replace a 24 inch 1080p one that I had. Came across this and picked it up along with upgrading my video card from a Nvidia 670GTX to a 770GTX. Couldn't be happier. I use it for gaming BF4 but also some work related, and while having my DirecTV plugged into HDMI and computer plugged in thru the Display Port. Works very well

The resolution, clarity and speed of this monitor is exactly what I expected from this monitor. Love the fact that ambient light doesn't glare the surface. The menu control took a bit to get used to using the four-way button but that's a minor issue. Judging from the reviews giving it low marks, some seem not aware of the limitations of their hardware. Works perfectly with the new MacPro as it supports the monitor's maximum resolution. A MacBook Pro from 2011 will obviously not work and it isn't an issue Apple needs to 'fix'...only a new graphic card will.

My life is all about technology. I do my best to look for ways to take it to the extreme and push it to the next level. My work therefore becomes an important part of my life. Recently I added this product to my list of tools that help me push technology to its limits and with the Screen Splitter functionality. With my new LG product, I am able to do that and positively impact my abilities to even a newer level as I am able to instantly work with many windows open to better my efficiency when I do my research and daily tasks at a click of a button. Being an engineer, my job is only as fun as you make it. I make it exceptional each day with the tools I have and my freedom to explore with the use of my tools at hand. Good Job LG! I have a 2011 iMac, and a Retina display Macbook, neither are able to output resolution of 2560 x 1080 that this monitor needs. So instead it only does 1920x1080. Maybe Mac may release an update, that can address the 21:9 Ratio, but LG also hasn't done a good job of talking about that too. The "Mac Compatible" is only about the software, and it does not run well. Every time you move a window from one area to another the Mac doesn't know what to do with it. If you are trying to do quad screen on a Mac, don't buy this. I also connected to my windows 7 laptop and still not able to see 2560x1080, after attempting to installing the drivers that came with it, the install kept failing "proper files can not be found". Now having said all of this, it does seem like a great monitor, the PBP seems very cool, and the menu, and setup are nice. It looks like it has great potential, however I haven't been able to see it preform.
