With the 138mm Brilliant2 Rota-Pol Circular Polarizer, designed for 4x5.65" Cine Matte Boxes, you can effortlessly enhance your cinematography experience. This high-quality Lindsey Optics product is designed to fit seamlessly into 4" x 5.65" cine matte boxes, providing a simple and effective rotation of the included 138mm Round Brilliant-Pol Circular Polarizer. Also known as a RotaPola, Rota Pola, or Rota-Pola, this large diameter clear aperture polarizer offers a substantial 5.1" clear aperture. The filter is meticulously masked top and bottom to prevent stray light from entering the 4x5.65 matte box. This feature makes the rotating polarizer exceptionally useful with wide-angle lenses and large zoom lenses, offering superior functionality compared to other rotapola filters that use 4.5" polarizers. The 138mm Circular Polarizer is mounted in a 4x5.65 geared rotating filter tray, ensuring quick and sure no-slip rotation. The tray uses one stage in 4x5.65" matte boxes, and the polarizer can be rotated by spinning either of the two geared thumb wheels by hand or with a motor mounted on the 1/4-20 thread in the handle. The Brilliant2 RotaPol is equipped with a high-quality Schott B270 "water white" optical glass, known for its neutral gray color. The broadband multi-layer anti-reflection coating (MC Coating) significantly reduces flare, stray light, and ghost images, enhancing contrast and color saturation. The coating is also water and oil resistant, making it easy to clean. The Brilliant2 RotaPol comes with a mounted Brilliant Pol 138mm Circular Polarizer, a glass filter that has 38% transmission, resulting in a 1.5 stop light reduction. This filter is constructed with two internal components, a linear polarizer and a "quarter wave plate", which work together to reduce reflections, increase color saturation, and prevent cross polarization inside the camera and lens system. The Brilliant2 RotaPol is compatible with most professional 4x5.65 cine matte boxes, including Arri, Bright Tangerine, Chrosziel, Vocas TILTA MB-T12, and Wooden Camera UMB-1. However, it is not compatible with RedRock Micro matte boxes or the Tilta Studio matte box.
