The Brilliant2 Rota-Split +2 Diopter Close-Up Lens is a 50% split field rotating lens, featuring a unique design where our Brilliant 138mm +2 Diopter Close-Up lens is precisely cut in half and mounted in a geared rotating tray. This ingenious design allows for quick and easy alignment of the split line, making it a breeze to achieve the perfect shot.

This lens is ideal for creating captivating near/far effects in your scenes. The near object is viewed through the 50% cut lens, while the more distant objects are imaged through the blank space in the filter. By aligning the cut edge of the lens with an edge in the scene, such as a table edge, door frame, building edge, or tree trunk, you can hide the transition line and create a seamless near/far effect.

The Rota-Split geared rotating tray is designed for ease of use, enabling you to quickly achieve perfect alignment of the lens edge. The Brilliant2 Rota-Split filter range includes values of +1/4 diopter, +1/2 diopter, +1 diopter, +2 diopter, and +3 diopter. The +1/4, +1/2, and +1 values fit in one matte box slot, while the +2 value uses 2 slots, and the +3 value uses 3 matte box slots.
