The Brilliant2 Rota-Streak Filter is designed to create captivating streaks on bright lights and highlights within a scene. The rotating filter mount further enhances this flexibility, allowing you to adjust the streak effect to find the perfect angle. Designed to fit seamlessly into most professional 4x5.65" Matte Boxes, the Brilliant2 Rota-Streak Filters are constructed by mounting our 138mm Round Brilliant Streak filters in a geared rotating frame. This ensures a secure fit in 4x5.65 matte boxes using one stage in the matte box.
To create our streak filters, we employ a unique manufacturing method that involves laminating very small cylindrical rod lenses inside the glass filter. This innovative approach allows for a variety of streak effects, with the spacing of the rod lenses determining the strength of the effect. Closer spacing results in a stronger effect, while wider spacing creates a subtler effect.
The Brilliant2 Rota-Streak Filters are available in seven types: 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 6mm, Diamond Star, Confetti, and Swirl. They come in six vibrant colors: Clear, Blue, Yellow, Green, Pink, and Red. This particular model features a unique green color, making it an excellent choice for nature or landscape photography where a green filter can enhance the colors of the scene.
