We have had our LG60PK550 for 2 and a half years and now it randomly switches off and won't come back on, sounds like it is trying too but it doesn't happen, so we switch it off at the wall for a while before having another go. It just keeps happening. What a piece of junk for the $$ we paid for it. It was recommended to us, so this is very disappointing.

There is simply nothing negative that I can say about this TV other than possibly that it is heavy and requires two people to pick up if you want to move it. The picture and controls are wonderful and I will purchase LG for my next TV and likely other products. This is my second LG TV, the other is a small one, but they just get better all the time.

Easy and fast set up, easy to use and switch between inputs and audio settings. Does give off a lot of heat though. Great picture quality.

Set came out of the box with a faulty panel that produced a humming noise from the upper right hand corner. A technician said the set could "pop" at anytime & said LG would replace the panel. Fortunately, Sam's Club graciously decided to send a new set! Hope it is better than the first.

Just purchased 3 weeks ago, replaced a 50" projection. WOW! should have done this a long time ago. The tv is so simple to use, easy to hook up, and what a great picture. The sound is really good with no surround system. But that will be my next purchase. When we first purchased the tv, it had a humming noise. One of the screws was loose on the back of the tv, easy fix with a phillips head.

This 60inch plasma tv is simply amazing for picture quality and for value. I always check and values the reviews of the real end users over professional reviewer who could be more biased. I was right to choose this LG TV. Enjoying crisp and life like colors especially when watching Oasis HD channel/Discovery world HDchannel. Why pay more for unnecessisarilly overpriced TVs? Highly recommended definitely. Guarranty you'll be very much satisfied.

Got this cool Plasma TV on sale at the local HHGregg and love it! Hooked up my digital antenna and the auto channel setup found my local stations and digital sub-channels. Picture looks great - plasmas will have that shine and glare to deal with so I like the swivel feature to angle the screen for better viewing. The built-in speakers are just OK, would've liked to have an extra audio out from the TV to hook into my surround sound system to at least listen to the TV audio in stereo through my surround system where I can get better bass response. The only output is optical digital audio out.

The 60pk550 is one of the best TVs I have ever seen, and certainly the best TV I have ever owned. It has all the features you could want without any of the unnecessary bells and whistles. Amazing picture quality with easy to customize colors, blacks, and whites. The built-in picture-wizard is a great place to start, but the 60pk550 includes expert calibration settings that will really make the picture quality blow your mind! It works well for everyday TV watching (SD or HD), but really shines with HD content and Blu Ray movies. If you don't need online movie streaming or other gimmicks, this is definitely the TV for you. The amazing picture cannot be beaten for this price.

Purchased the TV at HHGregg at an unbelievable price. I highly recommend checking the store out. It is better to go in person as the sales associates will barter with you. I have 2 comments on this TV. 1- Without a Surround Sound, the audio is average at best. 2- As with any Plasma, positioning in the room to avoid glare may be a concern for some. All in all, Im very happy with the purchase. Price was great and it has Awesome color!

The unit itself is a fantastic price for the size, my main complaint about the unit is that when the screen is nearly all white (many commercials, movies with snow scenes, Wii system menu) the unit dims the white out to a dirty grey. This is an issue with plasma's in general but this one does it to a far more severe degree than other's I've owned. Horizontal line bleed is also especially noticable and the glare makes the unit appropriate only for low light situations. Even with these issues I would buy the same tv again given the pricepoint and size.

I love this TV, the picture quality is superb, cannot see any significant differnce to much hiher priced units. Still believe that plasma delivers the better colors and black levels. I have 2 other LCD TVs installed, this unit is by far the better one.

I have had large screen tv's for over 20 years from the 3 tube analog projection sets to a DLP. My new LG plazma 60PK550 blows the other sets away! It is crisp, bright and very stylish. I enjoy my friends reactions when they see it for the 1st time. My only complaint about the set is that the screen is reflective especially annoying during dark sceens if there are any lights on behind you.

This TV has a superb image quality, I own 2 LCD TVs (Samsung) and this plasma is far better. Although, the power consumption is a little higher, I can highly recommend this product. The Panasonic equivilent is more expensive, I don't see a picture quality diffence when comparing them in store 1 to 1.
