Questions & Answers

Sandra B : Do these require batteries and re-charging?WESLEY H : I purchased these glasses with my LG 55 inch TV. LG uses passive 3D instead of active 3D. These glasses are passive 3D glasses and do NOT require any batteries. Active 3D glasses require batteries to "communicate" with the TV and they are much heavier and more expensive than passive 3D glasses. These 3D glasses will only work with TVs that use passive 3D such as LG TVs. Also, the 3D glasses that you get at a movie theater are passive and will work with a LG TV. There is some debate as to which format is better, active or passive, and you can find different opinions on the internet. I like my LG with the passive glasses. I think that you get less flicker with passive and therefore, less of a chance for headache, etc that can be common with some people with 3D viewing.RUSS V : no batteries are needed . Russ V.JOHN C : Nope. That's what I like about LG glasses. It's cheap to replace and does not require batteries. They are lighter and more comfortable than the other ones for Samsung or sonyALEXANDER P : There is no batteries in glasses. They are similar you get in the movie theaters, just more fancy. ThanksSTEVEN B : no, lg uses passive technology, no charging or batteries required, glasses are light and cheaper to replace than brands that use active 3d.ANTHONY O : I actually ended up returning these bc at the time the price was pretty high, but I don't believe these require batteries bc the cinema 3d is not active shutter, I believe they call it passive technology or something like this, which means the 3d doesn't pop as much as active thus not requiring the battery glasses.GREGORY S : These are cinema type glasses. No batteries.MARK H : No Batteries required! But they only work on certain LED-3D TVs, Make sure your TV is compatable. Merry CHRISTMASROBERT F : No batteries required. These glasses appear to be the same type you get when you go the show for watching a 3D movie.CHIBUIKE U : No they do not require batteries or recharging. Thanks.CHET P : No - There are no batteries required and I am very happy with mine.SAINATH A : No these does not require any batteries or recharging, these are passive 3d glasses, similar to the one we use in theaters. CHARLES F : No, these are passive 3D glasses which means they never need batteries or charging. They are much lighter than the active 3D glasses that require batteries.
Shopper : Why Did You Choose This?VINCENT A : Came with purchase.DAN R : This family pack comes with clip-on glasses which work great on my eyeglasses. It also comes with children's size glasses for our grandson. Perfect.

Exactly what you would expect

Works with my 2012 LG 3D tv that I also got from Adorama. Little pouches for each pair to keep them from getrting scratched. "Container" is a big cylinder that is too big to be useful. Just dump them in a drawer and throw out the packaging. Otherwise just as I expected, now I am covered for as many 3D wathcers as can fit on my couch.

LG AG-F216 Cinema 3D glasses

These glasses are for a passive system. They are good because they add absolutely no real burden on the wearer.
