I have had this for a few years and it have been very reliable when other DVD drives have failed my high volume usage on a day to day basis.

I have had this Blu-ray player and it worked great until I bought my new computer with Windows 10. Now I have an expensive paper weight. Very disappointed LG does not provide Driver upgrades for their products so I will be purchasing another burner but not from LG

This unit can be used with just about any format of CD or DVD. It is very fast. It has held up very well over the years I have owned it. My only request of LG is that they support Apple better. There are no drivers on the LG website for Apple and the unit no longer works with the newest OS. It appears that this defect is not confined to just LG, though. Anyway if there was some type of software available to make it work better with my new computer I would appreciate it very much!

I have had this burner for 2 years and it has performed with 99% reliability. My only problem happened when a firmware update created some issues with my burning software recognizing the drive. This was resolved. Otherwise a reliable device.

This hasn't worked properly since Windows 10...driver downloads never work.. uninstalled re-installed several times..not worth a dime.

I have had my BE14NU40 for a while now. I can't say enough good things about it. Most of all, I enjoy the portability as I take it with me between home and office. It has never failed me. I always have a quality finished product. I produce videos of church worship services and it does everything that I could want it to do. Because of the large volume of storage needed for archiving this data we use it to burn "M" discs which allow us quick and precise access access to whatever we need. I would but it again without hesitation. Great value for the money!!

There are 2 issues: 1. Does not detect if in BIOS if system is rebooted with device connected 2. Sometime system hang is seen with this device connected or takes longer time to boot to BIOS / UEFI with this device connected Tested in AMD / Intel Platform

The drive worked out of the box fine, but after a couple of days it just stopped working, and I had only used it a few times. The total time of actual use has to be less than 1 hour. I can't find my receipt (that's my fault) so I can't speak to the quality of customer service, but obviously I can't give a high rating to a product that dies with less than 1 hour of use.

My existing BD Rewriter was starting to fail to recognize a netflix BD, one out of 3-4 disks. Same bad disks had trouble playing or flat out would not play in a nearly new LG 12.7mm BD rewriter. Bought this BE14NU40 Writer because of the "Jamless Play" that let's it play thru fingerprints or bad / scratched sectors - This unit played 2 BDs that both my existing units did not recognize or would recognize then fail to play - and if you wamt a noisy writer/player - look at other units, this thing is morgue quiet. I would not hesitate to buy this unit again

This device has replaced my Sony Blu-Ray player. My setup is an 80" 4K Television, connected via HDMI to my audio receiver. This device is connected to my media computer, which itself, is connected via HDMI to my audio receiver. I'm using software to play my DVDs and Blu-Ray discs and this product has been phenomenal. I'm not losing anything not using the Sony product. Full HD-DTS and the picture quality is second to none! Keep up the great work, LG.

Easy to install and use. Lots of useful software. The burning speed is nice and very few burning issues. Yet to try the multilayer disks but I am sure it will perform well.

Product works great. Must have USB 3.0 and go to the LG product support website to flash this device in order for it to work stable. This item will not boot an OS. It works inside MAC or Windows. Make sure also that your GPU will handle Blue-ray.
