I bought this one month ago and I am happy with the exception that the remote doesn't seem to register the first time I press the button. Even changing batteries didn't change that.

My very 1st blu-ray plyr. I was so anxious to get home an take it out the box! Not only does my LG BLU-RAY Player have everything from great features to awesome picture & sound. There also was a "fortunate" mishap at the store I purchased it from, & long story short..I got it for a terrific price too!! Its been over 2yrs & its still working like I just took it outta the box. On another note..I DO have a couple concerns an comments. Ima music lover!! An when I learned "Spotify" was one of the APPS that came with my BLU-RAY, made me love it even more. However..I was AND STILL AM upset & disappointed the Spotify App is no longer available on my system. Thee ONLY other concerns are sometimes I havta unplug an restart my system cause it "freezes up". But in fairness, I think that happens due to my Wi-Fi, not the system itself. An whenever this BLU-RAY decides to "call it quits". I know exactly what brand to shop for! ALL IN ALL..The LG Brand, now an in the future are a part of our Family.

I have had this blu-ray for over 3 years and it is a great little machine. It is small compact and can fit just about anywhere. Plus the feature of being able to connect to Netflix , Pandora and You-Tube make it even better

I am new to the WiFi world and bought a TV that I thought I could instantly watch Netflix on. It said that it was WiFi capable and it was at a good price. After a few days of frustration and a few hours of reading on the net I discovered that my television was WiFi capable but was not a smart TV. What was I going to do as the TV was purchased and a good price and I really didn’t want to take it back. So I did some research, did some reading and became WiFi savvy. I figured that a blue ray player with WiFi capabilities would be the answer. Back to the drawing board……..I researched some more read some more, googled top blue ray players and read. Alas after reading review after review and seeing site after site I knew the LG Bp540 must be the player for me. I am so happy with my blue ray player. The instructions and ease in set up are great I was able to hook it up and have things up and running in about 10 minutes. And it seems as if running the TV through the DVD has changed the picture on my TV, I don’t know how this can be but when I run my TV without the player it just seems kind of off, put the player on and thing seem clearer. It is not lacking in apps either, they are great. I searched Amazon open box and got my DVD player for half price, if anything ever happens to it and I can’t find it at a good deal I will still buy it at full price as I don’t want to be without this little gem. I am now a member of the smart world and online TV because of my Blueray player

I had to replace my old DVD player so after researching I choose this 3D Blu Ray. I very happy with it and the quality is great. There is a great many apps that came with it and I have many more features with this unit. The only thing I found out is it doesn't work while plug into a surge protector, this needs to be address.

Good product, does the job, I just bought it so I can use the 3D features on my TV, haven't use the apps on the device. I just wish my magic remote was able to control more of the features, without having to switch remotes all the time.

I love this blu-ray player. my husband handled the set up so can't speak about that but the picture is great and haven't watched a 3D movie on it yet. all in all i love LG and am very happy with this purchase! super easy to use

Bought this for the Wi-Fi, should have read the other reviews. Wi-Fi on this does NOT work at all. A whole 10 feet from the router, can't find the signal. Sure, HG recommends using a cable, but that isn't why I bought this. Found another brand for half the price with all the features, and it works.

Overall I like the player bur the remote that comes with the unit could be larger in order to allow more viewing options for the user. One option I think is very important is the ability to ask for "closed caption." I am hard of hearing and I would find the feature useful. All of my other DVR players have a select button for this. I like the player and I glad I have an LG product to use with my 60" LG plasma TV.

This product replaced a previous LG BluRay player that stopped working. I would have given it a higher score, but I noticed that all of my LG products have very weak remotes. I have to press the "enter" or on/off buttons several times before there is any action. This happens on the two LG TVs I own, One Blu Ray player and one sound bar

Be careful if you buy this product with the idea that Pandora is one of the premier apps as indicated on the package. Pandora is no longer supported by LG.

Irt was suggested to me to purchase this bu-ray when I purchased my 55 inch LG. I was told it really makes a difference in the movies. Well, they were absolutely right! I feel like I am in a theatre watching the movie, the sound is great but the picture is movie quality top notch! SO glad I purchased this blu ray!

Easy to use. Pretty much connect to TV, insert disc and hit play. Picture displayed through this unit is excellent and a much better than my old unit. I mainly chose the LG brand because of their product quality.

BP540 came out of the box, plugged in, and connected with my LG 49UB8500 3d tv easily and allowed me to use a single LG remote to control either device. Pleased with product so far.

This is a great product in a little package. It had a lot to offer bring a smart blu-ray you can use it to turn your TV into a smart TV without paying all that extra money!! This is super super easy to use, my five year old does it on her own. And LG is a very reliable brand!
