Worth the price even though I didn't need surround sound for me computer. Music is much better & all sound is also. It does make a noise when I use my home phone(digital), but just walk away.

I found these speakers to be good, but they left me wishing I had purchesed the 200 watt, instead of the 75 watt. But that's just me. My son is using them on his gaming computer, and they sound okay, and a nice bass tone from the woofer, but as for my music...I do require more bang with my blues.

I have a habit of doing comprehensive research when buying any electronic gadget. After reading reviews and comparing similar products I bought Logitech Z 506. Sound is amazing, powerfull and yet crisp and clear. Beautiful design compliments any room. I am very happy with my choice and would definitely recommend this product to any of my friends.

I ordered (2) new touch screen computers 3 wks ago. One of the features that I added was complete surround sound by logitech. Upon installation, I was informed that my computer could not drive all 5 speakers that I had just bought. The speakers were listed as an accessory option for the computer that I bought. So now I have some brand new speakers in a cupboard because I l can't use them. They were not cheap, I spent over 4200.00 for the two systems and I'm not happy. Is there any option for me? The speakers were Z506. My PO order number CEO4943780

I love these speakers! This is my first 5.1 system, so I did not want to spend a lot of money on something I wasn't sure about, but I am glad I made this purchase. It has great sound quality. They can be connected to my PC, TV and portable devices (MP3 Player). They are easy to hook up. If you want an inexpensive system with very good sound quality at a reasonable price, then try this Logitch System!

This surround puts off great crisp, clear sound. The sub may be small but has great depth and thump to it. I just wish the cords for the two surround speakers were 10 feet longer, so they would reach the back of my computer room instead of the middle. Its great for the drivers seat but not the couch at the far end of the room.

Do you want an amazing surround sound system without paying several hundred dollars? Then this is the product for you. I currently have it setup on my PC and tried it out on my tv. The sound is amazing, and crystal clear. If you like music the base is very good. Can actually shake the floor with ease on medium base choice. I would really suggest this! Even though the speakers look small, the can pack a punch that sounds and feels like your right in a theater!

these speakers are great. Great sounding for such small speakers. The subwoofer puts out alot of bass. Unfortunately the first set I had stopped working after only 2 days, but Dell quickly sent out another set overnight. 2nd set has had no issues so far.

The system has a good subwoofer and the front speakers are okay. But the rear speakers and the centre speaker are inadequate; the sound from the centre speaker is barely clear. The rear speakers only worked for a short time (and had poor quality) and then they only produced an annoying buzz. Stick with a simpler system.

I'm a music buff and I love to hear music is it's best quality. I have to say this system brings out every instrument in the music. You should listen to Beyonce's instrumental version of Halo and Michael Jackson's instrumental version of One More Chance. OUTSTANDING. I'm in love with this sound.

Pros: Great sound at an affordable price. Simple to set up Cons: Bass adjustment knob is on the sub under my desk. Would have been nice to have to bass control next to the volume like my last set. That is why I gave a 4 star rating.

I purchased the Logitech Z506 5.1 speakers to upgrade from my computer's basic 2 speaker setup. Dell's offer on Logitech's 5.1 Z506 system is an excellent way to better sound. Upon its arrival I was impressed by the packaging and ease of installation.(Logitech has a great reputation of providing quality products and affordable pricing. I've had these speakers for over a month and they have performed well - I've enjoyed better music & audio sound. Pros: Quality to Price, Reputable Company, Excellent packaging, Ease of Installation, Seperate Bass/Woofer volume control, Extremely clear audio (but this based on the audio source) If your audio source is tainted or is of low quality (which occurs from the internet in various forms) the sound will be just like it is from the source. Naturally, the Z506 does not clean up or eliminate static/noise. Cons: No "Cons" so far - just understand that sound quality will vary from the source and some equalization adjustments may be needed to suit your listening pleasure. The cables have ample length but because of my computer work area, I can't have the 2 "rear" speakers behind me so I have the both "front" and "rear" speakers together in front of me. On a personal note: After you setup these speakers, slowly introduce your speakers to sound - begin with a low volume setting and slowly increase the level over a steady period of time. I strongly recommend getting the new speakers used to frequency ranges and not just putting them on "full blast" at the beginning. I have devoted my computer purchases to "Dell Only" and to the companies that Dell.com distributes from > This purchase (and others) justifies my devotion - "I'm extremely satisfied with the price to quality of Logitech's Z506 5.1 speaker system."

Logitech makes outstanding products. I ordered the Logitech Z506 5.1 Speaker System before I realized that HP offered the Logitech Z623 2.1 Speaker System which has a better customer product rating . I received both speaker systems and decided to go with the Logitec Z623 2.1 Speaker System since I have limited space for only two speakers and a sub-woofer. The quality of the sound from the speakers and sub-woofer is truly outstanding. Although I did not open the carton containing the Logitech Z506 5.1 Speaker System I know that the sound quality is probably very good since it is from Logitec. IUf you are limited on room I would recommend the two speaker system vs. the smaller 5 speaker system.

If your goal is to have reasonable speakers for surround sound for movies and perhaps even games then these are pretty good the price, not home theater level but good. I did have the return the first pair as they had a constant rumbly noise but HP exchanged them and the new set works great. Make sure when you use the audio set-up you check the box to make these "small" speakers (not full range) so it routes the bass better to the sub-woofer, really makes a difference, still get very good bass and the center and surround are not muddy being over driven on the bass.

Have owned the product for about a month and still haven't got it to work properly. Instructions from Logitech are confusing at best. A lot of time and money spent to provide their instructions in various languages, but essentially the instructions are a bunch of pictures without written info of any clarity. Also, my computer which I bought from Dell less than 2 years ago is no longer working. Seems to have a power problem. Won't start simply starts up for about 5 seconds and cuts off. Dell support non existent unless I pay for same, so I don't know how long the current situation will last.

It is not the best sound or the best quality, but it is solid and a great value. Everything works well. The center channel will mount on your monitor easily and without tools. The sub is small yet powerful and full in a smaller room. The headphone jack comes in pretty handy, but my power button hangs a little and needs wiggled to turn off the system. Not a problem as I just leave the power on. ***WARNING*** There is no cover for the woofer in the sub. The woofer is aimed toward your floor and is 100% exposed. The bottom of the sub box has enough room to keep it safe, but keep that in mind if you move it! You should make sure your computer has 5.1 capability. If it does not, you will not have the full 5.1 experience, even if you use a Y adapter.

The Logitech Z506 5.1 Channel Surround Sound Speakers and Subwoofer is a powerful, versatile audio system, sure to enliven your music, movies, or games. This 75W system delivers 5.1 Surround Sound through a combination of one ported, down-firing subwoofer and five satellite speakers. In terms of satellites, you will have two for the front of your room, two for the back and one to be placed front and center. While that arrangement of satellite speakers ensures rich surround sound for higher and mid-range frequencies, you'll have the added bass "oomph" of the subwoofer. With its down-firing driver, bass is bounced off the surface on which the subwoofer sits and spreads throughout the room. Not to mention, the subwoofer also has an adjustable bass knob, so if you're shaking the windows and furniture too much, you can always turn it down.
Because this system has multiple inputs you have the option of connecting a variety of sound devices, such as your desktop, laptop, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, iPod and DVD player. Even if some of these devices only support two channel sound, the speaker system will still produce a 360deg. surround sound that's immersive and tonally balanced. To get the most from your speakers, though, your computer or device should have a sound card that supports the full 5.1 Surround Sound.
To get started, connect the color-coded cables from each satellite speaker to the subwoofer, then it's up to you what sound device to connect. The subwoofer has a 3.5 mm audio-in jack for connecting any iPods, MP3 players and desktop or laptop computers (without sound cards). Just connect the included green 3.5 mm cable from the headphone jack of your sound device to your subwoofer. For gaming systems or DVD players, connect a (not included) RCA cable or AV cable from the appropriate jack on your device to the RCA jacks on the subwoofer.
For a computer that supports 5.1 Surround Sound, connect the three included green, black and orange 3.5 mm cables from your subwoofer to the same sound card jacks on your computer. If these options weren't enough, you can also connect your headphones to the jack on the right front speaker for private listening. All told, for an extremely versatile speaker system with 5.1 Surround Sound and powerful bass, check out the Logitech Z506 5.1 Surround Sound Speakers and Subwoofer.
