I use this headset with my laptop while Skyping and it works great. It was a good value for what it was. The sound reproduction is fine (listening and speaking), but you can't block out room sound.

I got it for a cheap, yet reliable mic. The mic is an amazing quality. I already have a nice sound system and I just wanted something to be able to use team speak with. This has a good mic that ignores background noise and picks up my voice well. If I wanted the sound part I'd get a different headset, but for the price and quality of the mic I would suggest this for anything like skype or chatting with team mates in a video game.
