Worked great for 1 year then started overheating more and more, requiring regular cleaning and ever larger number of external fans operating in ever colder environments just to keep it running long enough for a movie. I honestly think the system is producing a progressively crazy amount of heat. I'd try to replace the bulb but it is an LED proejctor

For the price, this projector presents a good value. It's only 720p, though LG now makes a 1080p LED model. Mine failed in under 6 months. LG repaired it and delivered back to me within 2 weeks. Picture quality meets expectations, and I've actually projected beyond specs to 125" with good quality.

PA75U is probably ahead of its time.I have owned projectors namely, OPTOMA HD66, ACER H5360 and EPSON 3010 lcd projector. The HD66 nad H5360 in my opinion are lemons. Both did not last 2 years because of dead white pixels that look like cancer (multiplied fast. Aside from the fact that the bulbs of these so called DLP projectors only last 3000 compared to 30000 for PA75U, both as I've said lasted less than two years. While the specs of PA75U says it is only 700 lumens compared to 2500 FOR optoma and 2200 for H5360 the picture quality is just about the same and perhaps the PA75U slightly better. The 30000 hours is the decision point and hopefully PA75U will last at least 5 years. Technology advances and this might be obsolete after 3 years but at least consumers myself included are grateful to manufacturers that make their products and give the consumers more than their money's worth. I cannot say about HD66 and H5360. I hope LG continues to improve this product by increasing the lumens and make it 1080p so everyone can use this even in a very bright setting (living room with a lot of windows open and therefore very bright). The projector however is perfect for bedrooms with minimal lighting and the picture quality is almost comparable to those 1080p projectors. I am pleased with this product and again hopefully last more than 3 years at the very least. Salute!

I read all reviews about this projector before I ordered. It has the most feature offered than other products on the market. I am hoping that LG will offer the firmware update soon which will include more features like bluetooth function, youtube viewer, netflix, etc. I hve not tried ceiling mount yet, and not sure it works or not. Also, one more HDMI port would be better.

As a Projector it is really a master piece. Easy setup, ultimate LED picture quality. Love watching movie/sports on this tiny product. Improvement required : Wireless doesn't seems to work well, it hangs or buffers when i play youtube. No access to All the LG Apps, Netflix, Hulu etc. I am using a Blueray/Media player separately. So Smart TV is real waste for me.

Pros: If we compare this with similar priced products, then it stands tall. Cons: If we value quality, then comes price, then this product fares poor. Following are the issues I noticed 1) Focus issues. 2) Rainbow effect 3) Incomplete Wi-di feature. 4) HDMI without ARC 5) Not all Features/steps mentioned in manual doesn't coincide with on screen menu 6) The customer support is not good, I didn't get my call back as assured 7) Useless built in apps 8) Built in media player is lime Wishlist: 1) Dual HDMI in & 1 HDMI-out(ARC and MHL) 2) Built in power transformer (the existing power cord is laptop type which is not easier to find extension cables) 3) Ambient light sensor 4) Manual V & H image size correction 5) Separate USB to interface standard keyboard and mouse. 6) Ability to install android apps. 7) LAN port 8) Ability to change screen resolution 9) Port or adapter to read SD memory cards 10) Upscaling/conversion of video signals from digital inputs.

Liked everything about the projector except when I tried to stream video using the browser. It came up with an error message of not having enough memory.

I like the features on the unit and use most of them. I was disappointed amazon instant video would not work on this unit, I think the software could be updated to allow more internet content to be played.

This was a gift, so I don't know where the person bought it from. However, It works great. The main reason I was attracted to this projector is the built in TV Tuner, and it works great. Picture is clear and bright with my set up even during the day. Pros: *Clear Picture *TV Tuner (best thing in my book) *Wifi and Widi - I tried the Widi. It may work for a presentation but not for Videos, Games, DVD... way too big of a lag. *Small and Quiet. Mine is ceiling mounted and very quiet in economy mode. In the brightest setting the fan can be noticeable during quiet parts of a what I am watching. *LED Lamp. Instant on and off, no waiting to cool down to turn off. *Both remotes work great. I like the on screen mouse with magic remote, easy for my kids to use. Cons: *Fixed lens. I knew looking into this it was a fixed lens. However, the screen size to distance ration that is printed in the manual is slightly off. One annoyning thing is it's printed in mm instead of inches or feet. No big deal to convert units just a hassle. The ratio is (if I remember correctly) something like 12" of screen size for every foot of distance between project and screen. Well, it's more like 11" per foot. So, the lesson I learned is don't go drilling holes for the ceiling mount until you physically check the screen size and location first!!! You will be alot happier that way and less headache. *Not really a con, but learn from me. The aspect ratio is 16x10 NOT 16x9, So again please learn from me and order a the proper ratio for your screen. It makes a big difference especially when your ceiling mount a projector like I did and it doesn't quite match your screen. All in All a great projector that I am really happy with!

Great for personal and business use - Sharp picture with WXGA resolution. Excellent 'Smart TV' features - I watch YouTube using the built in app without the need to connect my computer to the projector. LED life of 30,000 hours without any loss of brightness over time or lamp replacement is excellent. Supports 110v to 220v which is excellent as I travel a lot. Speakers are loud and clear. The Digital Antenna is a bonus - excellent signal pick up and sharp picture. Lastly, 3D capability is the icing on the cake.

One of the best LED projector available in the market . This projector is very robust for startup , no delay . Really smart . This is the one of the projector which doesnt make any noise while working , while other projectors makes noise. The HDMI connection makes stunning image quality , i watched bluray movies, Its really awesome. Also i watched 3d bluray movies , one of the best . Negative aspect is with wifi it is not powerful and also packed with useless apps, doesnt have netflix . Overall i recomend this projector , i will give 5 stars .

Bought this unit to replace a 8+ year old, SD, bulb-driven projector that would not hold focus any more. Once I got the new unit installed, (more on that shortly), I was amazed by the sharpness of the picture. A little tweaking with the blue tooth Magic Remote and the picture warmth and overall coloring was perfect! The only disappointment I had with the unit, and I was prepared for it from other reviews I had read in researching the model, was the inability to modify the size/dimensions of the picture except through proximity to the screen. Makes placement of the unit very specific in the theater room. This was not a huge problem since the unit weighs approximately a fourth of the prior unit I was in the market for a new mount anyway. But it IS something to be taken into account prior to purchase. Other than that I have nothing but wonderful things to say about it's performance and features! I was also not concerned with the supposed Smart TV feature of the unit since there is already a Roku in the theater rig, so I have no opinion on their usability.

-This projector is really smart, a lot of features, very good contrast, bright (3 steps of brightness), clear image, very good HD resolution. -LED lamp! Quiet. 3D-ready. Small and light. -Very good stereo sound (incorporated speakers) -Very nice Magic Motion remote (this one is one of the coolest gadgets I have ever seen). -Built-in HDTV tuner and antenna with cable, Internet browser, WI-FI -We bought this projector 3 months ago and we are very satisfied with it. -The only inconvenience is the vertical angle of projection, it's projecting the image a little higher than we wanted. The lower horizontal edge of the projected image is at the same height with the projector and we wanted that the center of projected image to be at the same height with the projector, cause we put it on a shelf on the wall. But that is not a big problem, we tilt the projector and now it's fine, without any noticeable image distortion. I think is designed for putting on a coffee table.

Pros: USB can read HD files like MKV, AVI etc... WiFi and WiDi. Good picture quality. 700 lumens is nice, but will like to see better lumens on next model ( please make one ASAP ). Very portable and light , like a small book. I like the carring case, well done. Cons: There is no audio optical out. No optical zoom ( I can add lenses ? ) Can't move picture up/down left/right, static picture it can be controlled only by projector location in the room. Advice to LG: Please make Firmware update with this functions : Move picture up/down left/right, controlled by software. Add other devices to BlueTooth, not just LG magic remote, like speakers, keyboard and mouse, cellphones etc. ( this is ok if LG magic remote need to be disconnected when using other devices ). Play video files from last point. Adjust audio delay ( sync audio ) for all video/audio formats. Add more Audio clearing filters. Add more aspect ratio configuration options, more zoom, etc... Add video configuration pictures for image correction, like colors/lines picutre for right projector setup ( right now I have to load it from USB ).

Kids love it. Other family love it. I think its portability and functionality are tops. This is my 1st projector, the biggest screen I had before was a 32inch flat screen. I love the smart tv features especially. My minor complaints are with WiFi speed, a Dual Mimo might have been better, also I run out of memory on some websites. Oh yeah, this product is nearly a computer. How awesome. I plan to upgrade if there is a newer model.

This projector is perfect for my home! Among its many excellent features is the LED with a very long life. This is my first projector, and I found it easy to setup and use. The picture quality is outstanding. My room is only 15 feet wide, and my HD DirecTV receiver gives HD a new meaning. The picture is crisp and the colors are rich. I love soccer, and the recordings of major games move me into the action at a new level. The players are right there and seem to be near life size!! My friends are amazed by this projector, and two are saving up to buy one. LG has made a projector that is terrific and at a very reasonable price. Thank you, LG!

I've only had my PA75U LED projector for a day, but I've spent about 10 hours getting to know what it's capable of. My prev projector was one of the 500 lumen LED clones, and that served me well for a year and a half, but this new LG model is considerably better in picture quality, and far ahead in features. The built in wi fi networking and smart apps means you can make use of it many times without having a computer plugged into it. For example You Tube, FaceBook and web browsing can be done with the projectors internal features. I've had it throwing a 100 inch image on an ivory painted wall in a semi darkened room, and the picture is crystal clear and bright with vivid colors. The "magic" remote, one of the two that come with the projector, is very handy. It's motion sensitive and puts a mouse type curser within the projected image that allows you to click on items to select them. It makes setup and changing operating settings very easy and intuitive. The picture adjustment options are extensive. I haven't explored them all yet, the pre set ones of standard, vivid, cinema, game, etc, do a fine job on their own. You do have the option of developing your own custom picture settings though. I've run text based power points and watched blu ray movies, and the image focus has been spot on in all cases. The internal speakers, there are two of them on opposite sides of the projector case, do an adequate job for uses in small venues. Certainly they sound quite a bit better than the single speaker in my prev LED clone projector. And they provide stereo where the source is stereo as well. Fan noise is unobtrusive. All in all, the only nit I have to pick, and it's a pretty minor one, is that I haven't been able to get the tether for the lens cap hooked to the body of the projector. The hook it attaches to is tiny, and my fumble fingers haven't been able to thread it through, down, and then sideways to the other side. Eventually I'll get it hooked in.

Almost perfect.
