The speaker quality is better than most. (4.5 stars). Connecting separate speakers will make watching this TV more enjoyable.

I purchased this TV for our kitchen counter and the size is perfect. I wouldn't want it any bigger as then it would take-up too much room, but any smaller and it would be hard to watch from any distance. The fit and finish is top notch, no complaints there. For such a small TV, it has ample inputs and outputs... more than I'll ever use. Setup was easy and LG's setup interface seems to have improved since the last LG TV I bought. On HD channels that were originally recorded in HD, the picture and sound is very clear and crisp. On non-digital channels (or digital channels that were converted to a digital format but weren't originally recorded that way), the picture is a bit muddy, but you can't expect the TV to make a princess out of a swine! I did notice one issue with the audio that almost made return the TV. There's a range of DTV channels that have pretty bad audio. When people speak, they have what I can only describe as a 'digital stutter'. However, this issue seems to only happen on a small number of DTV stations that aren't weren't originally recorded as HD and those same stations are available as non-digital stations so it's no big deal. I just deleted the channels from the channel list. Other reviewers have mentioned the TV occasionally locks-up for no reason. I had this issue right away after having the TV search for channels. When it was done, it wouldn't respond to the remote or the buttons on the front. I had to pull the power and after that, it's been fine. Hopefully that's a rare glitch. The power transformer/brick is external to the monitor and is pretty large. If you're looking for a clean install and don't have anywhere to hide the brick, this might be an issue for you. Although it's not pretty to look at the power brick, I'm glad it's external to the TV. The power brick can go bad and if it's built into the TV, then the whole TV is junk. Being external, I hope I'll just be able to replace the brick if it ever goes bad. Note that this model has been discontinued by LG and I don't see any 19" replacement, so you might have to act quickly if you're interested in this size TV from LG!

I love this TV in every way. My only complaint is the sound through the tv, but how many people really rely on the tv for a great sound?
