I have had this monitor for a year now and I can confidently say that this has been the best monitor I have ever owned. I dont care much for curved or anything like that. It is very user friendly, and amazing amount of customizing components to it. Overall its amazing! About to go with a 2 monitor set-up and will without a doubt be purchasing another one of these monitors!

After the 12 month warranty period passed the screen started having weird image retention lines from the desktop GUI. Sometimes these lines could be unusual colors or just slightly off from the correct color. I contacted but repairs would be comparable to buying a new one and they won't ship a new one before receiving the old one. I don't think I'll buy another LG because the panel should never have failed like this no matter what and the warranty is only 12 months instead of 3 years. I turned off overdrive and new lines still appeared, so it isn't related to that. Otherwise, I liked the monitor, though the price is bit high, but I was willing to pay it for the quality, which I didn't get.

144Hz for games is great and the addition of freesync is good. Great LG build quality overall and the osd is easy to navigate through with the central tiny joystick at the bottom of the panel frame. Frame is a bit on the bigger side. Color accuracy is ok for games web browsing and office productivity. Color suffers on Pro Video and Photo applications even with screen calibration.

I bought this monitor a month ago and to be honest im very pleased with it, the colors are Ok bc i have switched from an IPS panel it was LG too and normaly colors are a bit different. What i like most is the build quality and the stand i think it has the best one adjusting the monitor is just satisfying, other thing is the design its rly classic and not overkill it has just enough gaming accent to it. Bought it for 235 Euro.

Bought this for some FPS gaming and it does not disappoint. Blacks look good, motion is unreal versus a 60hz monitor. Motion blur reduction really makes a difference. Would recommend this to anyone needing a decent priced gaming monitor.

LG 24GM79G-B 24-Inch Gaming Monitor The 144Hz display has great color and accuracy right out of the box. But, after making some adjustments suggested on various forums, the display is absolutely gorgeous. It is hard to believe this is a TN panel. The quality of it's design and controls is outstanding. Making adjustments is very intuitive. Right now, I am very happy I did not spend as much as twice the money for some of the other displays out there. At this price point the LG 24GM79-B is probably the best value when considering a new monitor. I highly recommend this display panel.

Extremely high refresh rate, perfect for high FPS-demanding games. 1 ms refresh rate perfect for FPS games. Nothing special, but very high value for its price. Easily accessible screen resolution changes allows a quick change to fit your specific needs for certain video games. Slight problems with color corrections, but nothing out of reach for a common user. No errors have been encountered, and I certainly don't expect it to.

ok, so let me explain... I bought the monitor basically right after release, and it turned out that the first batch had some pretty big issues with flickering, ghosting and the settings menu just screwing up. Now I cant change most of the settings there. I have moving horizontal lines and incredibly crushed blacks. From what I've read, its only happened to the first few batches, I've bought this monitor about 8 months ago btw. I've been trying to gen in contact with the warranty service, but I got no answer.

This is my first 144hz monitor so I didn’t know how taxing it was on your graphics card so when I normally have 300+ frames on a game now I only get about have or less than that! So that’s something to think about before you purchase! Other than that a really nice product!

I bought this product a few weeks ago and it still works like new. I’m planning to get another one. it is a tad too bright when no lights are on but other then that it’s prefect. you are able to adjust the screen resolution and it has a few preset settings

Happy as I had good sense - My eyesight appeared to be failing & and my gaming abilities not Legendary (close but not enuff) I just now noticed that I could have gotten a bigger screen! I am glad I have this monitor.

This monitor has the response time (1 millisecond) and 144 Hz refresh time that makes it an excellent gaming monitor. And the 24" size makes those games very immersive. Cyan's "Obduction" video game is gorgeous on this monitor.
