Cannot connect video signal via USB-C cable. I have tried with many laptops (not LG but...) Otherwise, it's ok.

Connected it to a MacBook Air (2017) and everything appears distorted, as if the 16:9 aspect ratio screen is simply stretched sideways to fit the 21:9 aspect ratio. When I go to System preferences--->Displays there is no 2560x1080 option. I have been using another LG ultra wide with the exact same laptop for 2 years, never had such an issue? What is the solution to this problem?

This hits the sweet spot for the size on a 1080P ultrawide. The colors looked great out of the box. I bought this for a recently upgraded computer and I'm very happy with it. Would recommend it for anyone looking to upgrade to 1080P, or to go ultrawide.

I bought this monitor nearly 4 years ago and it worked really great until about 6-7 months ago, when it began randomly going black for about 5-6 seconds and coming back on. I've tried many solutions and none have worked. Otherwise, I love the product and would definitely recommend it to my friends

I've had this monitor for 3 years, and it's been working really well. There are *SOME* issues with it: Mainly the stand is a bit obnoxious at times, the monitor can swivel but overall I haven't had any issues. The blesses aren't too bad and the nipple they use for the menus is a lot better than buttons, as well the speakers built in aren't the absolute best but they do get the work done. Pretty good recommendation for the price. Though looking at the reviews, quality control might not be the absolute best.

I bought 2 brand new for a dual monitor setup. Was awesome while they worked. Rarely used maybe 1 hr a day average. Both failed with 2 years right after the 1 year warranty. Extremely disappointed and feel ripped off. I will most likely never buy another LG product :(

Ever since I go the monitor, the headphone jack never really worked. It would just clip in and out. I stop using it because I had another setup that worked fine. I'm now trying to revisit the issues and it's even worse now. No sound, only white noise. Other than that, it's fine but it really ruins my use-case since one of the reasons I bought it was for the headphone jack. Arc is also terrible on B7 as well.

I bought this on a whim as a 3red on my rig. Happy to say it's pretty good. The wide screen allows me to have photoshop with all menus running solitaire on the same monitor. Color replication is awesome

Though I had to return the first one I bought do to an internal issue it had, the new one I exchanged it for meets all my expectations.

Write your review here. It must be at least 10 characters long. ConsiderSo I bought this monitor to match an earlier version of the same (an LG 29UM68P - which is an earlier version which is essentially the same except without USB-C). They work perfectly together in a dual-external set-up off my docked laptop (a Huawei Matebook X Pro i7 - which acts as a third monitor.) Both are set to 2560x1080 at 60 Hz and deliver 8 bit RGB (if I had a Radeon desktop card, I could even get Freesync.) The LG UM69G is sharp and clear, and for the money it's a great deal (I bought it on sale.) I don't game, but for photo and video editing, I cannot think of anything that disappoints me - and the gamer reviews I've read were reassuring that this was a good performance monitor. I have each one mounted on NorthBay single-arm gas strut mounts (VESA-compatibility on these monitors was a must.) But this review is also about Adorama and why they will get more business from me. After having this monitor for a month, the USB socket connector failed. I diagnosed it by trying a DisplayPort connection and it came back to life. I also connected other items through the USB connector on my laptop and okay'ed its USB port and the cable. So the monitor indeed developed a defect and had to be fixed or repaired. I talked to LG and they would not replace it but said I needed to ship it for repairs - a process that would cost me nothing (including shipping both ways) but promised a down time of at least two weeks. I did not think Adorama would do much more than refer me to LG but figured it was worth a call. The agent I spoke with asked if I'd like a full refund or a new one. I opted for the latter and she immediately sent an RMA that dinged in my mailbox as we spoke. I shipped it to Adorama two days ago. Yesterday they acknowledged receiving it, and today there was a brand new monitor delivered at my front door. In five minutes I had it hooked up and I once again have two brilliant, sharp external displays. So things break. Even the best stuff will have failure rates. I won't judge LG on that, but admit I was a bit disappointed they did not meet the level of fast full-replacement service that Adorama did. Based upon better luck with most of my LG products (an external drive, another monitor, and a washer), I think the odds are with me that this issue will not repeat itself. But the failure was helpful in that it yielded valuable information I would not have known otherwise - that I really don't have to worry much ordering from Adorama LG: 4.5 stars (pinged ½ star for slow repair-only option on a failed product less than a month old) Adorama: 5 stellar stars whether you would recommend this product and what you like or dislike about it.

Bought this monitor in May of 2017. Have to say I do not regret the purchase. Still going strong to this date.

Worked great for 2 years... until suddenly picture disappeared altogether. Worked perfectly fine one day, no picture the next. Backlight would turn on when connected to computer, and speakers would even work, but no picture would show. Seems like some other reviewers have had similar issues, but it looked like it was right out of the box for them. Tried multiple computers/laptops to determine if it were an issue with the computer, but same issue persisted regardless. Using the button on the bottom of the laptop would not even bring a menu up. Seems like the monitor bricked itself. Seeing as I am outside of the warranty period, I am sure that I will get no support from LG. Pretty disappointed with the quality and will not be purchasing another monitor from LG.

I`ve had this monitor for about 2 weeks now and I got to say I don`t know why I didn`t purchase an ultrawide sooner. This monitor does everything it`s advertised to do. Like the title it`s worth every penny.

First off, this product is amazing. There is no getting around that. It has all the features that make it perfect for its many possible uses. I purchased it to accomodate my feature film editing bay. It's exactly what I wanted in the width, to be able to juggle several windows simultaneously, create a long workflow timeline, and to go full screen 2.39:1 aspect ratio to see how the film plays out. As many know, built-in speakers are not grande. Indeed, I have my computer connected to a full surround sound rig in which to edit sound. But I have to admit, the built-in speakers have come in more than helpful than I could have possibly imagined. They're small wattage, and aren't close to audiophile specs, but helpful nonetheless. The interconnectivity has been great. HDMI, USB-C, and DisplayPort was great. I had a bit of trouble with my Mac deciding to make trouble when I had my dual displays connected, and HDMI causing the screen to go blank when the resolution was not set correctly (I am not a Mac fan... le sigh). But this monitor's capability of the separate simultaneous inputs helped me make a workaround that got it back to exactly the way I wanted it to work. I'm so thankful for that. Every time the optimum resolution is not set properly or screen refresh frequency is off, there is a handy on-screen notification so you can optimize its capabilities. The only drawback I will mention is not the monitor's fault, and is due to my inexperience with ultrawide screens. I now know that a curved monitor would have been the best choice. The flat screen at this size (29") is not bad, but even at this size, could be a bit more helpful if slightly curved. When I was shopping, I was looking at ultrawides up to 34", I think those would be even more important to get curved. I find myself moving my body to the left or right when I have windows to the far edges so that the windows are facing my directly because of the flat nature of the screen. That being said, I did not find many curved (if any, now that I recall) ultrawide screens at this size. And this one has been everything I wanted and more. I highly suggest this screen for people looking for the extra benefits of an ultrawide: gamers stock brokers filmmakers multi-simultaneous-window users

I have been using this monitor for roughly 3 weeks for casual gaming and everyday use. I was initially concerned that it might be too small as I was upgrading from a 22" and considering a 27" as well. I couldn't be happier with the size. I feel this is the sweet spot for me. The picture quality is outstanding. The resolution is perfect for the size. Text is crystal clear, colors are incredible, and gaming is great. I can see why people love the ultrawide format. The price point of this monitor also hits a sweet spot for me. I don't think it's possible to get a better monitor for the price point. If you can grab it on sale, do it and don't look back. My only complaint is that the stand is a little wobbly. This is usually not an issue because monitors aren't made to move around. Having a 4 year old who likes to touch everything makes stability much more important for me than it would have been in years past.

This is a really great monitor overall; the aspect ratio is very nice coming from 16:9, the colors are really vibrant, and Freesync does an amazing job of making games look smooth even when my computer can't put out a consistent framerate. The one issue I have with it is that on a fully black screen there's a little unevenness as shown in the photograph, but that doesn't really have any bearing on daily use.

I have bought this item just less than a month ago and so far I have run into no problems with it. I ran some pixel tests and it came with no dead pixels at all. It is a great UltraWide monitor and is a great piece of tech for gaming. Very clear image and lively colors add to the gaming experience immensely! Access to the monitor menu is cleverly designed thus making it easy to play with the monitor settings. I would recommend this product to everyone!

I admit that when I first ordered this, I was a bit hesitant if this would be better than having two screens instead of one. However, I love it. It takes up less space on the desk, and at the same time I have space for 3 word docs side by side at the same time. Gamewise, I dont have the highest demands, but this is very good. When I play BF4, it nevers slurs the picture. For the price, it find this to be a highly recommendable product.

I am loving it! I use it as my PC monitor and the wide screen is great for dual window use. Superb video! Con: Power button is dead center on the bottom... Kind of a pain with my soundbar and everything else on my desk... have to move it all just to turn the monitor on.

I have had it for a couple of months. I couldn't be happier. Viewing area is massive compared to my previous 24" screen. Great quality at very reasonable price.

This does work with the MacBook, but the USB-C Cable that comes with the MacBook itself is a generation 2.0, wich doesnt support video. You have to buy at least a generation 3.1.
