The monitor I have been waiting for

This exceeded all my expectations of what a monitor should be. Great color, exceptional response time and no bad pixels.

Excellent high contrast VA Gaming monitor

I've bought this monitor in December 2018. Previously i've looked out for a high refresh monitor for years wich had not a TN panel (tried a few and returned them all, iamge quality was just awful coming from a quality IPS panel), and had no intentions to play the expensive WQHD high refresh IPS lottery to get one with acceptable IPS glow and blacklight bleed. I've checked a lot of them in shops and was not willing to pay near or more than 800 - 1000 EUR for such an uncertain thing.... Then VA panels came to the gaming monitor party with a native 3000:1 contrast and without the IPS problems but pretty good iamge quality. I've saw this monitor side-by-side with a lot more expensive 27" gaming IPS panels and bought it instantly. It's pure aswesomness ever since. The monitor is perfect for home office use and gaming purposes. I hope there will be quality high contrast VA panels from LG in the future as well. :)

This is a great monitor!

Love this monitor. I use it as my primary gaming monitor in my 3 monitor system. It is fast with great color rendition. The very small border makes integrating it with my setup very easy. Love the ease of up/down/left/right adjustments and especially the back lighting. Just a great monitor with zero problems of any kind!

Love the monitor

Loved the monitor. Great picture quality. Unfortunately, my monitor was broken by a toddler and was not able to but a replacement screen.

Caped at 60hz if you use HDMI

Ive been trying to figure out for weeks why my monitor is caped at 60hz, I had to go threw the user manual to find out that any HDMI confection is caped at 60hz refresh rate. No where in product description or features on this sight or amazon did is say you can only get 144hz if you use display port. I have a asus strix 3 gaming laptop that only has hdmi out. meaning no mater what i do i can only game at 60hz refresh rate. I feel LG has severely misrepresented this product and omitted material info about its refresh rate by not stating anywhere in the product info or stats that HDMI is caped at 60hz

Great monitor with one major flaw

Excellend color accuracy, color quality, resolution, size, immersion and experience, However, My particular model has inversion lines which you can see clearly while in motion or rotating in game, they appear as light shadows running up and down on the screen, about .5mm each all the way across the screen, thousands of them,

Amazing monitor for gaming just lacks a little.

I decided to build a pc and always wanted dual monitor set up. As a long time console gamer I've played on a TV and got used to large TVs and the slow response time and refresh rate. Since moving to pc, this monitor provided a good transition between the size, resolution, refresh rate and response time. I was playing on a 50" Samsung and now on his 32, it definitely feels smaller but still feels like a vast amount of screen real estate for pc. At 1440p everything looks gorgeous but as I'm used to the 4k TV console gaming I can definitely tell a difference however it is still beautiful and I'm willing to sacrifice the small details here and there for the great refresh rate. One thing I was expecting was speakers, there are no speakers. However, it may have been a blessing in disguise since I went with speakers and speakers make it more immersive to although it lacked speakers it'll open up the door for better audio options anyway. The light on the back is just a plus, I keep it on purple and it is beautiful ambient lighting. Overall, it is like a 4.8 and would definitely recommend it to someone who ways a big screen for pc. Finding mounts are very difficult though.

Great monitor, absolute unit

I bought this for my PC build that i wanted to be top of the line. With this it was definitely a great purchase, very large and clear. The 144hz is a great part for this.

Pretty Good Gaming Monitor

This is my first 144hz gaming monitor. I like the smoothness over my former 60hz panel. The picture quality isn't as good as my LG 32UD99-W but I like the high refresh rate. The lighting on the back is great too. I prefer red but magenta works as well. I like the crosshair feature so I know where to aim in hardcore modes.

Glad I did my research

This monitor boasts features found only in those in the >$1500 range. The three brands starting with 'A' had most of the features offered in the 32GK850G-B, but were either too small (27") or curved 34" displays costing upwards of $1700. While value is important in a monitor, image quality is paramount. The VA display here has impressive mega contrast and color gamut. Blacks are solid and dense, allowing whites to really pop. This is my first G-Sync display and no, I didn't really know what I was missing. This screen is so smooth, you get the feeling of being in a movie rather than playing a video game. 32 inches of real estate seems to swallow you up and completely immerse you in the game world. This is due to the amazing 165 Hz refresh rate and 5 ms response time. To say that you'll see your games in a whole new light really is an understatement. If I need to play a game using HDR or 4K I'll use my 55" LG OLED display for that. You can certainly pay more for a display, but this monitor brings an impressive array of features and specifications not found in more expensive, but less impressive monitors. If you want HDR and 4K you'll definitely need to pay a lot more. LG's OLED televisions can do 4K gaming at 60 Hz over HDMI, so if I need HDR gaming I have it. I'll eventually move to an even larger, HDR monitor, but this one had so much going for it that no HDR was not a deal-breaker in any way. This display will keep me immersed for years to come. Another LG triumph.

This is the best for the price I got it at

90% of what I wanted is here: 144hz, 1440p, GSYNC, matte panel, tilt, swivel, etc. The only thing that I would love to have in it is IPS display but this VA panel is good enough. At least its not a TN eh. The only thing I have to criticize is that the bottom bezel gets pretty hot.

great monitor

Beautiful picture, great color, deep rich blacks. I've been playing the old Bioshock Remastered and the 3000:1 contrast ratio is fabulous on dark games like this. Controls are simple and intuitive. Bias lighting turns out to be really nice, i didn't think I'd use it but i actually use it every night. G-sync works as intended. 32" is perfect size if you like to watch movies from the couch.

Stunning display with good features

Beautiful, large monitor---good for work or play, with fine graphics and fonts. With the included software, the display is easily divided variously into sections where concurrently running programs display at the same time. "Pivot" is an interesting feature for a monitor this size. A small joystick-type button at the bottom of the screen in landscape position is used for on/off switching and some display adjustments---hoping it holds up over time. Running at 119Hz refresh with no issues.

A new level

Ive been playing different games for a long time and running several high fps screens in 27" format, then i tested a BENQ 32" standard format screen but with just 60Hz and sad to say i fell in love with the format, tried to find a similar screen with Gsync and higher fps tested 34 " wide and curved but nothing could match the 32" std format feeling so returned asap, and then found this one and to be honest this is at least my personal heaven, high refresh rate, 32" format playing PUBG, WOW WOT etc etc and just smile larger and larger. SO in conclusion its noticable when a major player like LG wakes up and bring the skills into the market. Just one negative thing, dudes do introduce in the Nordic market had to hunt you down to find a retail here but it was worth it : /Thomas

Great gaming monitor

I've purchased many monitors in the past, mostly higher resolution (4k & UW), or FreeSync monitors over high-refresh rates, but I now know what I've been missing when it comes to a "Gaming Monitor". At 144 hz the screen is responsive to every movement of my mouse. This is the best of everything for gaming: Higher resolution than 1080p, higher refresh rates at 144 hz +, and almost 32" of real estate. I can never go back to 24", standard desktop monitors. While tearing wasn't often noticeable on my past monitors, between using this at 144hz and/or the use of G-Sync with my 1080Ti video card, my experience is clear and refreshing. The menu system is very straight-forward when compared to other brands I've used. The only complaint is that if you sit closer than "arms length" away from the monitor, the edges noticeably dim. You need to sit directly in front/middle of the monitor, at least 30" away to enjoy it completely. Perhaps a slightly curved panel for those who would sit closer is recommended

So Happy

Just got this monitor in today after pre-ordering. Upgrading from a 27in/1080p/ 60hz monitor. It's beautiful. G-Sync, 32inches, 144hz, 1440p. That combination is not found anywhere else yet, and I've been keeping my eyes open for a while. The RGB ring light on the back looks reaaally cool too.
