There are lines that are pixelated on the display and LG will not do anything about it. It looks like static or noise bleeding into the color of the monitor.

This monitor was wonderful. I loved everything about it. That is until it just stopped working all together. One day it wouldn't power on and now it just sits in a corner. I tried calling LG tech support, but I got little help. I tried a local repair place and they said it wasn't worth it. What was once an awesome monitor is now just a piece of trash.

I've had this monitor for ~4 years and it has been wonderful. It is bright, crisp, and has been a perfect WFH tool.

There are big white corners appeared during using this monitor. After two years now I can see bigger and bigger streaks on the middle of monitor. Looks like dust from inside. Definitely I do not reccomend to spend so much money for this monitor. I regret it, becasue warranty is gone now

After months of research I chose LG for an external display because of the company's affiliation with Apple. As a digital designer, I need a large monitor with great display, and the LG 34UC97 seemed like the perfect option. Beautiful curve, modern design, awesome cable management, and an easy to use desktop app with OnScreen Control functions and fast performance. Thank you LG!

Unfortunately, Apple switched to TB3. This monitor works fine with the TB3->TB2 adapter. I have not tried it with a TB3 dock that outputs mini-displayport, since they do not exist yet. More importantly, it would be important that USB devices still work over this interface change. I hook up two computers to this monitor by using a USB3 hub and TB2 interface for connecting the data peripherals. Ideally, my TB3 monitor would only require 1 cord, which the TB3->TB2 adapter is insufficient for. Do not buy this monitor for gaming, you will be disappointed. Few games support ultra-wide but good ones will letterbox for you. Bad games will be unplayable since the aspect ratio messes with the game and UI elements will be off the screen.

For many years I've been cluttering my desk with multiple 22" monitors with a big over sized stand to hold them. Not to mention the special adapter to connect them to my notebook with lots of cables. I've been in the market for an upgrade and when I saw this monitor at a trade show, I was sold!. Excellent out of box experience to set up and I can not have multiple programs open and so easy to drag and drop when creating presentations and reports. I can't live without it! Picture quality/resolution is amazing. Great for videos and gaming.

I primarily use this monitor for flight simming using Lockheed Martin's P3D Flight Simulator . Combine this monitor with my Nvidia 1080 8mb and you have outstanding picture and scenery quality . It has made a tremendous difference in my flight simming . If you deal with graphics , photos and hundreds of other uses you will be amazed .

I bought this monitor with touchscreen in mind as per sales rep but there is no touch screen. a feature you need when your in the digital designing world. 1 star for not being up to date with todays technology needs.

I bought this monitor when it first appeared on the market, I did as much research as I could first. I wanted to get away from using two monitors side by side, but I need the width to have two complete pages open side by side. This monitor is very good, it needs to be set up correctly though. The issue which some photographer mentioned in a review here about a image distorting when being dragged from one side of the screen to the other occurs when the video card is set to 50 hz, but does not occur at all when set to 60 hz. I have read users complain of excessive back-light bleed, I can only say that I have never noticed that myself. Movies on this screen are amazing as the wide aspect ratio matches that of blu-ray movies. The only downside is that it does require a powerful computer or video card. I used to connect this to my Macbook Air, the air supports the resolution perfectly but the fans come on a lot which suggest that that video card is working overtime to support the resolution of this monitor. It works fine on a Mac Mini though. Sound is OK, but not as good as a moderately cheap set of powered speakers. Overall this is the best monitor I have ever used and better in my opinion than my IMac 27"

I got this Display as a Christmasgift. First I connected my Blue Ray Player and it worked great. No Black boxes above and below the screen. But then I'm trying to connect my 15" MacBook Pro (Mid 2009 and it didn't work. Now a week later. I'm trying it to connect with my 13" MacBook Pro (mid 2014) and Is not starting at all. Hope they can replace it quick. Because It was wonderfull when it worked....

Hi, Buy these days this monitor as an owner of a mac and you 'll see mac compatible... Although El capitan has been unleashed early september this year, 10 th of december LG still did not release any Screen split program for mac users. As a consequence, only two windows available so far on my screen, not an inch from what windows have... Even the CD within do not provide anything for mac users except the instruction manual So when LG shoots with Mac compatible, shouldn't they stick instead with "Mac tolerated" anyway LG when do you release at least the EL capitan Mac user program, you 're 4 months beyond, guys ! 13 days left for me in France as a customer commerce ode to return it back to the store of nothing happens or if still no constructive feed back from LG customer service is received

Sharpest picture I have ever seen on a computer monitor. Yes, it's pricy, and the paperwork is not in english, but it is by far, the best monitor I have ever had.

Wow...the capabilities of this new monitor are amazing. The 21:9 aspect ratio is a little weird to get used to at first. But then it dawns on you that this is a game changer and how did you ever live without it. Colors are bold, vivid and crisp. There is a slight backlight bleed in the edges but it doesn't bother me. I use mine for multiple Word Documents, Spreadsheets, Movie Making and Gaming. Nothing but 5/5 for all of my uses. The only downside is that the back panel (which is visible on my desk) is more of a rose color than silver. Plus it uses a god awful power block that isn't quite long enough (and brilliant white to add to my aggravation). Not sure why they couldn't use a normal power cord. But other than those issues, I love it.

The monitor is very nice, but getting started with little or no documentation included in the packaging was extremely disappointing. The unit seems to have many features, but little help to how to use them properly. I feel like I have wasted many hours because of this and still am not sure that I'm able to take advantage of the high quality of the device. Frustrating experience.

I am a programmer and the 3440 x 1440 is an awesome resolution. Lots of workspace without the split screen divisions.

I mostly use this monitor for everyday email and Microsoft Office tasks, and for Photoshop and Lightroom. It is attached to my Surface Pro 3. I have not watched much video, but what I have seen is very good. It's color rendition, detail and visibility is great. I often use Windows 8.1 split screen (not the split screen feature of the monitor) If I could have extra features in the monitor, they would be : control by software from the computer; higher quality speakers; and ability to turn down the screen brightness more than the lowest setting currently available. I'm very glad I bought this monitor.

Love this monitor. I have it connected via Thunderbolt to my Mid-2011 27" iMac and it works perfectly. I've had no problems with corner or edge colors as some others have reported (I ordered mine in Jan, 2015 so perhaps it's a newer run). The picture is beautiful and the curved display is actually welcome in this form factor. I do wish it had some height adjustment so that I can have it at the exact same height of the iMac, but other than that, I have no issues. Some people have had problems with the "joystick" control at the bottom of the monitor, and the fact that the keyboard sound controls no loner work once you've plugged this monitor in, but it's quite simple to just reach for it under the screen and toggle left or right for direct volume control. So I've no issues with that. I will probabaly look into the VESA adapter to perhaps move the screen height with a different mount, but will see. All in all, a great buy. Love it.

While I'm not a gamer, I do a fair amount of photo editing and video watching. Really love the real estate, and ability to park multiple full size windows at one time. At work I use two monitors, but with this unit there is not need. Great monitor!

If BMW claims to build the ultimate driving machines, LG should claim to build the ultimate monitors. This is truly the best monitor that I ever had. The aspect ratio is the perfect one for large desktop surface area to open many programs and windows at the same time and yet not to compromize on the font size. I tested a few 32 inch 4K monitor prior to this LG monitor, and this is much better than any of the 4K I tested. With the 4K monitors, the pixel density might be a bit higher but that makes the standard font size too small to be read.
