This is a replacement of the earlier version. I enjoy the HDR ability and the adjustments have the ability to really fine tune the monitor to my specifics.

It is a great monitor if you don't consider the price, I expected excellence, but was very disappointed with few things: - Sphere Ligting ~1 sec delay, makes it useless and immersion breaking in fast paced action - On-screen crosshair, can't configure position - makes it useless in games where your crosshair is not centered ideally (my previous monitor for half the price could do this properly). - Hz overlay is static, if you set your monitor to 144 Hz, it will display '144' - a static picture, if you enable G-Sync that 144 will never change even if your fps fall below 144, with previous monitor I've used this overlay to verify my Hz are dynamic and g-sync is working, can't do this with LG. -

Finally splurged and picked up this monitor. 21:9 ultra wide and WQHD+ resolution is just amazing for gaming and productivity. Driving this monitor with a 3090 with 175 hz refresh rate only makes game smoother. HDR feature is pretty useless, I recommend adjust the colors manually to suit your need. Had 1 minor issue with using audio out where the audio got distorted and powering the monitor on/off fixed the issue. Have not noticed any noises from the gsync ultimate fan in the monitor either.

I bought this monitor from a 3rd party seller, but unfortunately ended up receiving one with a dead pixel. HOWEVER, upon reaching out LG, they immediately had me send the unit in for repairs. Within 2 weeks upon receipt of the damaged product, they were able to repair and send the unit back to me in pristine condition. I honestly didn't expect LG's support to be this responsive and have the repair done so in a timely fashion. I appreciate the overall journey for finally being able to use this monitor. As for the monitor itself: It's an absolute beast for both productivity and gaming. One word of caution is that you need a pretty beefy GPU if you want to run it in higher frames for the more graphically demanding games. Although this is no OLED, the picture quality, text clarity, and the pixel resolution just makes it a powerhouse when browsing/working. I rate this monitor 4/5 stars only because of the time and trouble I had to go through to get it repaired. Luckily for me, the repair process was smooth!

I bought this monitor 1 month ago and it is fantastic. My flight simulator looks incredibly real and it runs fast with no blur. Perfect video. I love it.

This is a good display. Probably made even better by avoiding the debacle that is Thinq though having a smart home integration strategy for the display is what pushes my experience with it from Excellent to Good.

Sorry I don't recommend this monitor because after the first 6 months 8 vertical lines appeared on right hand side of the screen and never went away. Its obvious to me it is a defective LCD panel and I am a electronics technician with 35 years of experience

After 2 months of use, I?m still excited about this purchase! I had been researching monitors for months and I?m so happy I decided on this monitor. Beautiful colors & images. The reader setting is great when working with documents.

I am delighted with this purchase as it is everything the marketing material says it is. The image quality elicited from the monitor is clear, precise, responsive, and vibrant. I curve screen allows me to run multiple applications simultaneously.

I had been thinking about an ultrawide monitor for a while, I wasn't sure if I'd like an ultrawide as I previously was using an 32" LED TV which I thought was big enough. I looked at reviews in general and decided a 38" ultrawide was one I'd try the 49" ones just seemed like they would be too wide, so I got this one (LG 38GL950G-B 38" ultrawide). All the games I own run fast and smooth on it. I love it. Things to note: For some reason you can't get to the BIOS when using the Display Port cable it doesn't display anything until it gets to the windows log in. Fortunately if you use the HDMI cable instead you can get to the BIOS. Switch back to the Display Port when you are done messing with the BIOS as you miss out on some features if you use HDMI. To make my games use the full monitor I changed the settings in Nvida Geforce Experience. To do this find your game, click on Details button, then click on the wrench and set the resolution to 3840x1600, click Apply. Just mentioning it as some games don't show the resolution in their options, but they will work using the settings I've described. The stand is substantial and I tried to capture in the photo that you can actually slide paper freely under the stand due to the stand been on rubber feet, which is kind of useful if you want a keyboard cheat sheet on your desk and you like the monitor up close when gaming.

I bought this to replace my old 28" "all-in-one" curved computer and screen, and the LG 38" 21:9 curved screen surpassed my wildest expectations. It runs high-end game software without any problems, and the screen space is humungous. I am very happy with this product.

I've had a 34" and a 49" and I was unhappy with both. The 38" is where it's at! Not to mention the vertical resolution of 1600 is amazing. The software bundled does not work. Many people have the same issue.

I was looking for a monitor that had a G-sync module and was rated highly. After much research I came across the lg 38gl950g-b. It was exactly what I was looking for. It was easy to use, and presented a very clean and crisp image and letters. In addition, I have noticed no motion blur or ghosting and the latency is extremely low. It is an absolute pleasure using every day and I love using it while gaming. The quality that went into this monitor, assures me that I will be using it for a very long time.

The monitor is pretty good, I loved it until at about the 1 year mark when the fan in the back started making a faint high pitch whine. I'm just under warranty so I put in a claim and got a RMA shipping label but no box, I'm not quite sure how I'm going to safely pack a giant 38 inch monitor in my own box. If you are getting the monitor keep the box in case you need to ship it back. I've decided to just stick with the monitor as it is for now, it is a shame, I was super careful to build a quiet PC, I never expected the monitor is the loudest device in the room.

I have been looking for a monitor larger than a 34" which I have my setup is made for this. I have a TV stand that it mounts to with the monitor on it and it looks great. The game look even better than I thought nice screen size, the height is what I was looking for and this 38" does the trick and looks great. I have a AMD built system 5900X cpu and a Radeon RX 6800xt works great on this.

I bought this monitor in October and I have to say, it's badass. Yeah, it's expensive but the display is amazing. The curvature took a while to get used to but you end up loving it.

I bought this a week ago, first impressions were great with almost no backlight bleed, just small portions in the corners. 160 hz with 8bit, the color is great. 160hz also offers almost no motion blur if you can drive it that fast. The native gsync is nice, and the stand isn't as bad as people make it out to be, offering enough adjustability. The bezel is a bit thick on the sides, but it isn't a huge bother. The sphere lighting is easy enough to use, and is a nice alternative to external ambient lighting. I have also used the so-called "black-stabilizer", which is just a dark boost for games, and it worked well in War Thunder night battles.

I bought this monitor for my PS5. Picture and speed are amazing. Build quality is amazing. Super easy set up since the PS5 adjusts automatically to the monitor. Runs at 120 hz with COD perfectly. I would highly recommend for use with the PS5.

I purchased this monitor about 7 months ago and I had to send it back to LG for repair. About two years ago I purchased another LG Ultrawide gaming monitor and that one is now dead. I'm either very unlucky when it comes to extremely expensive gaming monitors or LG is making some low quality stuff.

Looks Greats but got a few dead pixels with very little use of the monitor. The repair to fix the dead pixels is taking three weeks! How is it possible not to have parts in the repair facility?!?!?!?!

I purchased it to replace a monitor that was failing, I liked the thought of ultrawide for my gaming setup. It ended up being too big to be ran alongside with my other monitor in the 2 monitor setup. The monitor arms also failed to support the 20+lbs, so it ended up replacing both of my monitors. It honestly feels better to use as a computer, and I'm glad I made the switch. I also use the computer to watch movies in bed and it feels like watching the movie on a 40 inch TV because of the 21:9(12:5) aspect ratio (no black bars in most cases). Not to mention a native 1600p resolution. The high refresh rate and low response time are awesome to play on, and the extra vision in the periphery make it just that much more immersive. If seen as a monitor to fill the place of 2 monitors and a TV for the bedroom, it is a great purchase in my opinion.

Perfect picture quality, easily adjustable stand, simple to use and beautiful to behold. Well worth the extra money if you can afford it. Only wish I could find a new graphics card to pair with it for a decent price.

I was skeptical on buying a curved monitor at first, I won't lie. I have an LG 65" OLED and have had such a great time with it, I decided to take a chance on the LG 38GL950G-B curved monitor for my PC. Amazing is all I can say! It expanded my play field and colors so crisp that I said to myself why I did not do this sooner. My eyes are literally astonished of the flow and brilliance of the colors. The RGB lights in the back are brilliant. Adding depth to my wallpapers and games. There are no words how happy I am. LG is a brand in my book that is the pioneer of future tech. Brilliant. Just Brilliant.

You'll need the new RTX 3080 Ti X3 Quad sli to be able to reach 175hz. It's expensive but worth it.
great monitor

I'm not sure why I got this monitor in the mail but I have a great setup and I personally think 4k would have looked bad on this monitor. I see why they made the choices they did on this monitor because it looks just as good as 4k but performs close to 1080p... I mean frame rate... these two things working in sync at this refresh rate is amazing. A must buy if you're in the market for this I would not recommend a 4k monitor it is much more stress and lower FPS for quality you are not using......
