Got this tv 10 YEARS AGO. It has been ran everyday without issue. It finally has the tiniest of whitening on a small spot of the screen. This thing even survived a house fire and a cross country move. I'm about to buy a new LG after this champion finally gives.

Bought this model TV in March 2015 and purchased the 3 year warranty plan. Of course, now that manufacturer and extended warranties have expired just this year, I am having the LED diffuser problem. Three white circles in a row right down middle of screen. Was told by one TV repair guy that LG uses inferior glue to hold the diffuser on knows there is an issue. Wish I had known this before purchasing. Can't afford to fix, can't afford new TV.

Blinks 3 times and nothing! After researching issues online there are tons of failures with these TVs! Lg should do something because this is outrageous! I will never buy another LG product again!

bought about 3 three years ago, cut the cord at same time. using antenna and streaming devices. picture mode set to Vivid....beautiful, crystal clear HD.

This tv has a great picture, but after 3 years the picture is gone. Started with some occasional flashing circles for a few weeks and now no picture at all. The sound works. Assume it's backlight or a board, but not really worth repairing. Should last longer than 3 years. Probably won't buy another LG.

I have a 42" LG TV Model 42LB5600 that is 2 1/2 years old and is beginning to lose it's LED Diffusers (problem researched on-line. First three white dots appeared on the screen, then a few days later four more appeared, then several weeks later three more appeared. These are in three columns, three each in the first two columns, and four in the third (looking from right to left on the screen). Will only replace with another LG if they can verify that they have improved the attachment method of the LED Diffusers.

This been a pretty good tv for the past two years, but all a sudden screen flashes for second and goes black. Sound works, would expect this price i wouldn't have to go another so soon

I see your tv's have a lot of issues with this and its ridiculous for what we pay for a flat screen and it only last a year or 2. i would rather buy tv's like we ussed to have cause at least they last a long time. Some of us can not afford to keep replacing our tv's. You should recall them and fix them for us beings there is such a problem with your tv's.

TV has worked well, and fits perfectly in our armoir in our bedroom. Good picture, but as with many flat screens, the sound isn't that good. Still fine for late in the evening after the kids are in bed.

I bought this in the summer of 2014 and it's almost 14 months old and I have experienced no problem with this TV, especially when I've traveled back forth from my university to my home. I love the picture and the way it displays HD. It was a good TV for a great price!

I purchased the 42" screen LG August of 2014. The TV was not installed until mid October because the room were it was to be used was under construction. The past several weeks the TV turned off by it self and at times the picture would be distorted. Today it turned of and will not go back on. Since it has a warranty of 1 year from purchase I am out a TV. I have had TV's for well over 20 years with no problems. Only to replace them because of style and convenience. Now I am not sure if I will purchase another LG product since my experience with this TV has been unsatisfactory.

This TV has a nice picture and it works well with a computer using the HDMI. I will probably never use the joystick feature, and it only has two HDMI plugins, plus you need to use the computer screensaver to protect the screen, but this TV has worked well even with displaying documents. Many TVs do not display the letters in a document well when used with a computer, but this one does. The sound is good. This is a really good TV for the price (I got it at a really good price).

My husband and I took a chance on buying this TV that someone brought back to the store. We can't understand why they returned it. It has the greatest picture. It is like you are right in the same room with the people..Also love the sleep feature. We are looking to buy another LG in a larger size for our summer home..

I have owned a verity of brands over the years and this LG rates at the very top. The only problem is the manual that comes with this set does not go into much detail especially on the remote use .

My wife and I have been very satisfied with our new LG TV. It has a very good picture quality, and is easy on the eyes when watching. It seems to be very reliable. LG continues to send us info on our product which is making it easier to use.

I was glad to find a 'straight-forward' television without all of the online hype or connections. I just use 'over the air' - outside antenna- with a Blu-ray dvd player. This is all I need for my television entertainment without the monthly fees. I figure I can use my computer for the internet content. The picture is easy to calibrate using the 'Expert mode' on the TV's picture menu, and Disney's "WOW" Blu-ray - 'world of wonder' - calibration DVD disc. My old television wouldn't allow me to 'turn off' the over-scan feature which you can on this television. Set to "just scan" in the picture menu's 'expert mode'.The only thing I was disappointed with, If you do use the built-in tuner for local channels, such as an outside antenna, only the name of the program, and it's time duration is displayed on the screen. It doesn't display what the program is about nor does it show programming coming up in advance. Again, most people have satellite or cable, so this isn't a problem if you use those providers. All in all, the other features of picture quality, sound quality, and the ability to 'fine tune' picture adjustments outweigh that minor issue, so I rate this television 5 stars for me.

I was looking for an affordable TV with quality picture and solid sound. This was the one that popped out to me and I have not been disappointed. It had a quick easy setup and we discovered some nice extra features our TV's before didn't' have. The picture and sound are as good as I've seen without spending the big bucks.

My first thought was product for value. I soon realized that it wasn't going to be easy, until I passed the LB 5600. I had been looking for a 42 that had Great Color and Great Contrast. Voile! I found it. The LB 5600 was clear, the picture was tack sharp, great profile, perfect fit for the space I had for it. Even more, the sound, was the final decision. I asked the salesman for permission to crank it up. That did it. My search was over. The LB 5600 is the creme de la creme for me. After I got it home , I read the instructions and I was set. When you see it you'll know it. I am totally convinced that this is a Great product for the money. You will Love it. LG
