The TV worked fine for a year but the HDMI ports are not well-secured into the back of the TV. Two of them feel inside, leaving only one HDMI port usable. If you have a slide-out or swivel mount for your TV, I wouldn't get this TV or, at least, tape the cables to the back of the TV so that the cord doesn't pull on the HDMI socket.

Tv stop updating apps, some apps are no longer compatible and it continues to disconnect from WiFi. All other TVs and systems work in the house, except this TV So frustrating!!!

TV was great for a while; then backlight died. Based on my Google searches I think it may have had something to do with a bad firmware update. In any event, I was able to get the parts I needed to fix it but when I went to reinstall the main screen I found that it had cracked. Anyone have a screen for the 42LB6300 in working order and live in the Philadelphia area?

I bought this LED almost 2 years ago and it has been worth my every penny. It's compatible, user friendly and everything that a smart LED should be. And Magic remote is the icing on the top.

I bought this 3 years ago, so I have some experience with this TV. The picture is still excellent, even after 15,739 hours of on time. The tuner is very good. I live in the country and get good DTV signal and picture. Good DLNA support. Playing videos from a computer over a network is fun. WebOS is Linux. Support for wireless keyboard works, if you like that sort of thing. Only con is the Smart UI for accessing menus and Streaming services is a little slow and awkward but not too bad to dock a star. Also, it survived a lightning strike that fried a lot of other things. Phone and network equipment fried. But this TV survived.

I replaced my old tube TV with this incredible TV ! After 3 years it is still amazing. I highly highly recommend it. Had to upgrade my router to overcome initial buffering problems, but has been very reliable ever since.

I got this TV from a relative who upgraded to a 60 inch TV. I have the 42 inch model of this TV now. After I mounted it onto the wall, I hooked it up to my gaming computer to see how cool it would be to play on a 42 inch TV rather than my 17inch screen. I was terribly disappointed in what I found. The input lag compared to my other monitor was huge, making gaming not enjoyable. I spent about 20 minutes in the OS settings on my computer trying to get the coloring on the TV to look good, still haven't gotten it to show anywhere close to good (maybe it will look 'good' to people who don't have any feel for what a good screen looks like. What was incredibly annoying, on top of all that, was the auto-brightness feature. It never had just he right brightness for my room, it often changed its brightness, which looks so annoying, and I often found myself wanting to change it manually. I do not recommend this TV.

The Global Dimming "feature" is an absolute nightmare and is impossible to disable. There is nothing more frustrating than watching a scene that goes into a dark room and then the entire screen dims to the point of being unable to see any detail whatsoever. Search for "LG Global Dimming" and you'll see dozens of examples of this in action. If I had known beforehand about this I never would have purchased it. Unfortunately, I did not discover it until I was past the time I could return it. This TV has an otherwise excellent picture and feature set, but just be aware of the Global Dimming before you purchase an LG. If possible, watch the into to an episode of Star Trek The Next Generation and you will be able to see the problem clearly. I keep hoping that a firmware update may add the capability of disabling this major aggravation, but so far no luck.

This is our bedroom TV. The picture is very clear, bright and sharp. The picture refresh rate is good. The sound is good. Remote is easy to use. Rear HDMI connections makes for easy hook up. All around good TV.

This is the fifth LG HDTV I've purchased and I couldn't be happier. The picture quality is great, in a dark or well lit room. The IPS panel is a real treat, as the LB6300 has awesome viewing angles. The motion blur can be all but eliminated if that's what you desire (and I do). And the Smart interface is intuitive. In fact, I am impressed with the contrast between the LB6300's Smart interface/layout and that of the LS5700. I think both approaches are good, but what's nice about the LB6300's Smart TV layout is that because the streaming apps appear at the bottom of the screen, one can continue watching TV without any meaningful impact on the picture before clicking onto the desired streaming service. If you're still weighing your streaming options, this is a nice feature. Finally, Sound Sync is also a very useful feature. I've paired my LB6300 with an LG soundbar and the ability to use the one remote for changing channels and raising/lowering volume on the TV and soundbar simultaneously is really great. I have only two criticisms of this TV. First while the three HDMI inputs it features are adequate, a fourth for a model in this price range would be appropriate. Second, the wide stand obviously limits placement. A central stand would be much more versatile. In the grand scheme of things, this is an excellent TV especially for the money!

Connects to Netflix etc easily, mounted to wall easily, has been very reliable after 1 year of use. Used product support when conncetion was lost but the problem was the modem connection, not the TV. Nice job LG.

Great picture (did not have to adjust any settings..used it straight from the box) Great features. The only suggestion is regarding the Magic Remote. Even though I have decreased the sensitivity to the lowest setting, it is still difficult to select items.

I chose this 42" model over other brands as a first HD tv simply because the picture looked great compared to the other models in the store. I am not dissapointed at all. The features are easy to use, the size is perfect and the price was within budget. 3 months in and i'm still loving it.

I only downgraded the "feature" rating because I also have a LG Google TV, and those features are a bit more user friendly and the additional search choices are along the bottom of the screen were preferred over the screen center location. But, it is a great TV that I am extremely happy to have purchased! It is the only way a disabled member of our household can complete a web search easily (with voice recognition, he cannot type) (NOTE: Google TV also worked slightly better with ATT U-verse)

The picture quality of this set really leaves nothing to complain about, providing you disable the motion blur features. It's beyond terrible and makes most programming un-watchable. The ARC on this is the most frustrating feature hands down. I've used three different manufactures receivers with it in an attempt to calm it down to no effect. It randomly switches off and back to TV speakers (every 20 mins or so) forcing you to switch back in the TV menu. When it is working though, it randomly switches the input to DVD on the receiver. Initially, I blamed the receiver. I then switched out receivers several times and it did it with all of them. It seems to get worse with every SW update on this unit.

This one is mounted on the wall in the basement, motivating our training rides through the long winter months. The picture and sound quality are fantastic and we found it at a very competitive price. Easy to network! We use it exclusively with internet streams, for example Netflix, PlayOn and Win 8.1 media service. All work well; Hulu via PlayOn is perfect. When we first got it out of the box, we had to upgrade the WebOS several times before catching up to a stable, functional version. This wasn't obvious and we very nearly returned it. Despite massive improvements in WebOS, we still find upgrades to apps such as Netflix are sometimes confusing, and navigating to PlayOn or Win 8.1 media is still not always intuitive. With a little practice it works fine. On wakeup, the tv seems determined to find a broadcast channel. Since we have no cable or antenna, this results in a snowy screen accompanied by loud and annoying static. Would strongly prefer to see a blank "no signal" page with muted sound.

The new technology is very easy to navigate. Beautiful picture. Works well with other products, locates all products that work with the features. Ps I bought my son the same model only 47 in. Works great with x-box. I only bought the second unit cause I was so impressed with my unit.
