So much easier on my 52 year old tired eyes. Placing 2 of these side by side on my desk is amazing. Wish I'd done this years ago.

I've got 4,000+ hours on my monitor with no issues. I'm blessed. I went from three 27 inch monitors to one 42.5 in monitor to do the same work. It's amazing.

This is a great alternative to a dual screen setup. Excellent screen real estate for productivity and doubles as a worthy a tv set with 4k picture. The multiple HDMI ports with PIP makes it simple to multitask as well.

I was looking for more screen real estate and this monitor fit the bill. The laptop from my employer drives it at the full 3840x2160 resolution, so I'm able to have many windows open on the screen and work more productively. My personal laptop only drives it to 2560x1440, but that actually works out great because it makes verything on screen a bit bigger after a long day's work staring at the screen. I haven't used the advanced input controls yet, but it's nice to have them available if/when I need them. Had an issue with some dead pixels shortly after the warranty expired, ad LG stood behind their product and sent someone out to replace the screen free of charge!

This is an excellent monitor. I use it everyday. Pixels are turning black, maybe 20 over the screen. It does not bother me much.

everything is great and good deal buying from Costco back in 2019 (before the COVID-19) WFH. using Belkin USB-C cable, display working great. but, not enough power to charge the MacBook and have to dangle another usb-c to MacBook. was looking forward to minimalistic but failed.

The company I work at purchased 4 of these monitors. Out of the 4, 2 died within less than 2 years. The monitors start to flicker and the frequency of the flickering increases over time. Another monitor (the third) had a grey line going through the screen. LG gave me a hard time returning it, saying that the warranty does not apply unless you buy it from one of their authorized centers. Complete run around as one person in one department offered to exchange it, while another person at LG would not. Had to return it though CDW. Not impressed at all with LG monitors. Poor customer service, and poor product. I have other monitors that last a solid 20 years.

I had to move my Apple monitor elsewhere so was looking for an economical replacement. My expectations were low, but this monitor easily exceeds them. It's big and clear with little glare, and I love the split screen feature. I used a shade on my previous monitor, but this one is fine without it. Most importantly, it only uses around 50 W, so thanks LG for lowering my carbon footprint! I do a lot of video conferencing, so I only wish it had a built-in camera.

This is not a "dumbed down tv" (or a smartened up tv) -- this is a high performance monitor. It is visually stunning and can easily overwhelm the eyes if sitting too close (due to the "height" of this monitor compared to a "standard wide-screen." I replaced two 23" wide-screen ACER HD monitors with this single 43" netting an increase of about 30% viewing area (my estimate). It was easy for me to have confidence in this LG monitor, as I have owned an LG 75" 4K TV for over two years.

I purchased this monitor a few weeks ago as an external display for my imac Pro and media display in my master bedroom. Until last week I was using only the USB-C and Displayport connections to my Imac Pro and Macbook Pro laptop, which work without issue. Very happy with the picture and feature set in this short time. However, last week I got around to hooking up my AV media components and discovered none of the monitor HDMI ports work (I have been through all the different cable and monitor setting changes and it is clear the unit is defective). LG opened a repair ticket and I have been waiting for almost a week for a return shipping label to ship the unit back to LG. This monitor is generally only sold online so I don't have any bricks and mortar purchase location to return it to so I have no choice but to wait. I am very frustrated. Unit is sitting in box ready to ship out. I have a new LG 43 inch UM7300 PUA UHD TV I purchased in the interim (need it for another room in the future) and am using it as a monitor and AV media display now. All the hdmi ports on the TV work great out of the box but the TV does not look as sharp or quick as the monitor did when used with my computers but that is to be expected. The TV also requires underscanning adjustments for use as a PC monitor and of course no PIP split screen options like the 43UD79. I also find the TV UI much more annoying. Still, I think the TV is a good option at half the cost for someone who only occasionally needs a large secondary PC display. I am hoping my monitor is repaired in short order but it not looking good now in terms of LG customer service. My fear is that the big connection feature set is not 100% in terms of reliability based on my experience and some other comments online. Maybe the new 2020 refresh model (the 43UN700) will solve some of these connectivity gremlins.

I bought this with a Dell XPS Tower - 9th Gen Intel Core i7-9700 - GeForce GTX 1660 Ti video card. My wife and I wanted an ideal medium to view vacation photos and 4K movies from her new iPhone 11. We have it in the office right next to my 5K iMac, and I have to say it is a better viewing experience due to the vivid image, although the huge size does take some getting used to. Also, for movies with 60FPS, motion is VERY smooth. We have only had it for a few days, so I can't say anything about reliability or longevity, but LG products are usually pretty good. I also cannot say how it might work with other video cards and other computers, and we do NOT do gaming, so I cannot comment on how smooth motion might be for games. Set up was a piece of cake, and Display Port and HDMI cables were included. Overall this is an astounding value at $649.99 list price, and certainly a Christmas gift when Costco discounts it another $170!

I have Macular Degeneration with very low vision. I purchased this 43 inch LG monitor so I can continue using my computer and honestly say that it fits the need. I was surprised that it is as clear as it is and everything is as advertised. I am very happy with my purchase

I got this about a month ago and I love it! Color looks good but is not the same as my other calibrated monitors... which one is correct? Maybe I'll adjust it later. I love seeing my photos big, it's a real pleasure for me and impresses the clients! I tried to attach a photo here but it says too large, even from a pocket camera, sorry!

I work from home using a number of different creative and business apps, and run a film production company on the side, which requires a portion of my time on the screen for editing. I was using a MacBook Pro connected to 32 in. screen, before that a 27 in. iMac, and this monitor beats them all. It works seamlessly with my MBP (I'm able to connect it and keep it shut, using a wireless keyboard and trackpad, connect my monitor speakers directly to the monitor, and it always just works - brilliantly). The display is bright, HUGE, and color correct, which was one of the other reasons I purchased it - more accurate colors for color correcting footage. Before purchasing it, I wondered if 43 inches would be too big but now that I have it, it's perfect, HUGE, but perfect. It's like having 2 or 3 large monitors in one—there's room for all my windows and apps and some to spare. If you're wondering whether or not to purchase it—don't think about it. Just buy it!!!

This monitor is average in many respects except for the screen size: it's huge. I'm used to Dell 43" monitor at work, so I wanted a similar one for home. As far as I can see there aren't any substantial differences between them so you may as well buy a cheaper LG. Probably all those 43" 4K monitors are built on the same LG panel. The panel has a BGR sub-pixel arrangement, which is different than RGB in most LCD panels. So you need to run the cleartype (in Windows) calibration utility to correctly adjust the aliasing to avoid color fringing in cleartype fonts. Other OSes must have something similar. Pros: Large real estate of this monitor successfully replaced my old dual 27" system. This is an incredible advantage for anybody who does CAD, software development, etc. On higher density panels single pixel wide lines would faint, they are well visible and contrasty on this monitor. This is excellent for CAD software. You can watch and edit videos as well. Unlike Dell, this monitor has DHCP, so you can watch protected content. The pixel density of this panel is about 103ppi, which is perfect from my perspective. This allows to use it without scaling, which makes text and images crisp at native resolution, and works perfectly with legacy applications that don't support high density screens. Monitor has very good color calibration at Darkroom 2 setting. I calibrated it in Custom mode with excellent results, except for the black patch. For some reason the red channel is very non-linear near black. But I don't think anybody would notice a bit cooler blacks. Cons: Because the screen is so big, the viewing angles are extreme when looking at the edges and corners. As a result there is some color shift, brightness reduction at the edges -- nothing that would really bother me. The few mm at each edge would disappear due to parallax between the panel and back-light, so a dozen pixels on left and right are unusable. Because of the acute viewing angles you probably will keep the most important windows close to the center. It's like working on a large desk, you can put many papers on it, but you work on those that are at the center. The other drawback is slightly non-uniform brightness and colors across the screen. If you need a high quality monitor for photo editing then this 43" panel doesn't cut it. For casual photo editing or viewing photos it's just fine. The static contrast is a bit low. I measured about 500:1. The reason is the light leaking through the black patch. If you work in darkness you may notice that blacks aren't very black. But then, if you work in darkness, you would have your own reflection showing on the screen. This screen has a good matte coating, still reflections would be visible in such conditions. Though the pixel density is perfect for work, it's not the best for photos (you can't really see it in videos). If you have a very good eyesight you may notice individual pixels. Most people probably won't even notice that, but some may want a smaller size higher density 4K monitors and just sit farther away from the screen.

I am in inveterate game player. The larger size is, obviously a plus, as is the clarity. But ease of use, the remote and ability to divide the large screen are great advantages. It is also the brightest monitor I have ever had.

I purchased this personally to increase productivity during work hours. It's absolutely phenomenal. Make no mistake - this is the major leagues without the heavy price tag. LG is always - the way to go. Hands Down.

I bought this through Costco as a more-manageable option to replace two side-by-side monitors. This monitor is easy to use and highly adaptable. It works well for standard home/work computer duties AND as a game pc monitor, media streamer, etc. The speakers are loud enough for me to hear over heavy rainstorms without me having to go anywhere near half max. Great monitor.

This monitor is EVERYTHING I've wanted and needed for my editing system, but I keep having one problem that's so frustrating... it'll just randomly BLINK BLACK... like turn off, but it's NOT disconnecting from my computer system. It's as if it's still ON, BUT it turns off and will turn back on eventually... it just happens and has been more and more frequent lately. AND it's been happening ever since the recent driver update (Feb 2019 too.

By far, the best investment I have made in photo editing support hardware. I was skeptical prior to purchasing but I highly recommend this monitor to anyone that wants to take their editing skills to a hole new level
