I hate the service support for this product . I have a main board issue so now I have to find the part since the service tech they referred me to no longer works on lg tv's or any other lg product I guess. The soldering on this TV board was defective but the TV is outside of its warranty period and the closest thing I can do is buy a new tv

Bought this TV a number of years ago for it's 3 D feature. Have never been real happy about the smart feature portion of the unit. Always needed updating and never really was up with times. Now in 2020 I need to use a firestick with it tomake it a real smart TV. However, that said wehave since purchased another 3D LG TV a 65 inch OLED and love it. It is truely a smart TV.

First of all, I bought my tv in 2013 so it is not new. You would think that when releasing technology there would be some avenue to update the operating system however that is not the case with such purchase. The apps are very much outdated which causes them to crash as well as having a poor resolution. In addition to this, the led lights are pretty much gone so there are black lines appearing across the screen and upon powering up, the tv blanks off and only audio plays. It must be noted that this has been occurring for 2 years which has caused me to be in search of a new one. I don't think I would be patronizing in your brand in the future.

I got it from my girl and the audio isn't working the audio feature of the television does not work at all the TV is still in great working condition but it's no fun without the audio

I bought this TV about 5 years ago and now is useless piece in my home, just a big dark screen. All apps and build in tuner are not working anymore. The LG customer service all that can sugest to use Roku/Fire devices for be able to steam apps. How about local channels?! I lost my confidence to LG product. It could be a good idea to either trade it or credited for a couple of hundred dollars.

A great TV when new but much to our disappointment, smart features evaporate. 3D stopped, Streaming ended with youtube months ago, now Netflix no longer works. The TV is fine but LG's unwillingness to allow software to keep up obsoletes a perfectly good smart TV. I have to by a new one and after buying multiple LG products, it's my last one. at first it was really great, but after a while, everything start to disappear, all services, and i mean ALL SERVICES are gone now, there is no support, no 3D world, no updates, and the worst, NO TV-TUNER!!!, i can really understand that some software can be stopped intentionally by the owner, but stopping the tv tuner was mean. all what i have now is an expensive screen.

I bought this TV 11-5-17 after a storm blew out our old LG TV. Right now I am loving my choice of sticking with LG and learning about all the features. This is slightly larger than the one we previously owned. Other was 47" and this one is 49". We have a limited space to house the TV and this just fit the dimensions of our cabinet without extending over. Also this is the 4K UHD. We were in a bind but it turned into good fortune as I was able to purchase this TV at a great price. Our old LG was three times the price of this one, so after only having that TV for 4 years, this one was a much smarter purchase and due to the close out of 2017 models we saved a huge amount of money, which for us was great as we lost another TV, wireless router, Firestick and cordless phone as well. I love the built in apps, especially for Amazon Video as I lost my firestick with the old TV. Although the old TV was a Smart TV, (it was a Google TV 3D after 2 years of ownership, Amazon no longer supported Google TV so I had to get a second firestick to watch Amazon videos on our biggest TV. The only thing we really do not like about the TV is the feet on it. They flank each side of the TV and seems flimsy for such a large TV. It's just a bit wobbly and could easily fall over if someone accidentally ran into it. Our old LG TV had a wonderful, sturdy base that was in the center of the TV and could swivel the TV for optimum viewing. If I could trade the base on the old TV to the new TV, this would be the PERFECT TV!

Great picture quality, the remote is amazing, great looking device. wifi is weak and won't connect even with the ap directly behind the TV, and the wired Ethernet port only worked intermittently. Android os keeps throwing an error message repeatedly that as soon as you click ok to clear the message, immediately pops up over saved over again. Rebooted, factory reset, nothing FIXED the issue for me. After getting burned on two LG G3 smartphones and now this TV, I will not be buying LG PRODUCTS ever again. Buyer beware.

Great picture & audio quality. For those deeply submersed in the GOOGLE/ANDROID ecosystem,I recommend this SMART TV. While the remote does have a QWERTY keyboard,which can be useful,somehow,someone dropped the ball on a very basic function: No back button on the remote control (FOR QUICK SWITCHING BETWEEN TWO OR MORE CHANNELS). This is quite annoying,enough so to drop the feature rating from 5 stars to 3 stars. If you use a 3rd party remote,it's a mute point,but,I shouldn't have to have a 2nd remote on-hand for this one basic feature. Otherwise,there is a LOT to like w/this SMART TV. Basically,if you're at all familiar w/the ANDROID operating system found on smartphones,the learning curve is easy,running on ANDROID 4.2.2 A VERY NICE All-Around Smart TV that I'd recommend to anyone.

The only drawback I have with this television is the lack of support for Google TV. The service never really took off so the number of apps has not increased. The lack of Hulu Plus is also a drawback. Other than those issues, I am very happy with my purchase.

When I had to replace my TV I was overwhelmed by all the features and criteria to select from when making a choice. Rather than be confused by a sales person I used the top rated TV in my desired screen size by Consumer Reports. I found it on-line and had it delivered to my door step. The 3d is a fun feature. Voice commands help me find features. But I still have not mastered the purpose of the keyboard on the remote. There are so many features available and I don't like having to study the manual.which I know I will eventually have to do if I am get my monies worth. Picture is great and I was able to get rid of my TV EARS since sound is good even when using my DVD player. I had to call tech support when I thought I needed to connect my TV EARS and response was time was short and tech rep was knowledgeable.

Truly wireless smart TV. Voice recognition for surfing internet and controlling the tv is very user friendly. The picture is bright and the black level is really good. Would not hesitate in recommending it.

Love the picture and many of the features available on the web. The remote does take some getting used to but has powerful features. I am disappointed that many of the internet features I thought would be a available are incompatible with Google TV - Hulu Plus, Xfinity Live TV streaming, and even an update to Google Chrome!!! Hopefully programmers and vendors will see enough demand to fill these voids. Still like the product overall but really wish I didn't have to consider finding work arounds for the internet access shortcomings.
