I love the magic remote. YouTube videos look and and sound great. Very, very pleased.

Great TV

It was installed in our fifth wheel when we bought it and after 60,000 miles in the trailer it gave up the ghost and started flickering and can't get it back.  Sound and picture are there, but unwatchable; audio is fine.  It was a solid TV while it lasted.

While it lasted

I purchased this about 5 years ago.  For about the last year there have been white spots all over the screen and one good sized black spot appearing.  Up until this point I loved the TV.  Great bright, clear picture.  I am not happy that this is happening and will most likely be buying a new TV after such a short time.

Did not last long

I really liked this TV until just after it went out of warranty, then the backlights started to burn out, so now I have a screen with lots of dark spots, which looks horrible.

It's sad that LG doesn't make products that last (see other reviews regarding this model). It's also sad that LG is apparently OK with having 1 time customers that then move on to another brand.

Also when using an antenna and selecting the Info button it always say "No Program Information" but the info displays on my other TVs. Seems like a pretty easy thing to display.

Disposable TV lacking basic features.

We bought this TV only two years ago and while watching TV tonight, our screen began flickering.  Apparently the LED strips are made to be short lived. We won't be purchasing an LG tv again.  Sad that manufacturers have to make TV's that go out perfectly at the time the warranty is up.

Not worth it

Bought this TV in 2015 and now the picture tube has gone bad.  Still owe my local Distributor over $100.00. This TV should last many years longer.

Worked Great For Three Years

I'm glad I bought this tv -- you do have to work with it some to get picture settings way you like them -- and not much 4K content yet -- especially from directv

I bought this in December 2014 and it is still working as if brand new.

Working like a champ

Bought this TV for Christmas 2014 and now it has 3 white spots in middle of screen repair will cost as much as TV or more.  It was great TV before the spots showed up

Good tv for a kid

If your looking for a TV without all the internet features and other associated options that go along with a smart TV, then this is the one to pick. It has great color, good sound, and although I've only owned it a short time, it appears to be well built. Now, how long will it last? Hard to say as that depends on a number of factors. Ask me in 5 years if I still have this TV and how it's doing.

Excellent Picture Quality

Purchased back in Jan 2016. Worked fine till end of last week, when it's ability to display video in anything above 480i went out. Not much fun to have spent $650 and now have essentially a large-video monitor from 10 years ago. Won't buy another LG product...ever.

TV has crapped out already

We love this set. Great value as we din't want a smart TV and this fits perfectly in the space we placed it in. Perfect size too. We love this set and will probably get another one for the bedroom.

Great TV. Set up was easy.

If you want a great tv that full 1080p with fast refresh rate and without the smart features this is the one to buy all I use it for is gaming and movies and so far it runs like a champ.

Great led tv

Hard to beat for the money, clear sharp picture, good sound, used theater mode on sound setting, very good value.

GREAT TV

Like previous reviews have stated, this TV is perfect for those people who want a solid TV without all the latest technological perks. The picture is vibrant, clear, viewable from a very wide angle and is great with motion that you might see when watching sports or fact-paced movies/shows.

The sound from the built in speakers is average, nothing more, but if you want to improve on that then you should probably expect to have some extra money to purchase a sound bar or a surround-sound set.

There is no bluetooth or wifi connectivity. There is no smart functionality that will let you surf the Internet or watch Youtube. There is no 3D option. This is not what the TV is about and is therefore perfect for my needs. If you do want these in a TV, there are plenty other LG models to look at but at least with this model I feel like my money has been well spent.

Finally, to top it off, the TV itself looks very stylish even when turned off! The close-to-edge screen and the thin-but-stable legs give it a look that's pleasing to the eye.

Overall, I am very happy to purchase this product and it's a great package for someone who wants a quality product, without all the extras.

Ideal for the minimalist

Perfect size for a living room. Watch a lot of sports, and the picture quality is excellent. Bezel around the screen is silver, not the usual black, and is very thin, so it is aesthetically pleasing. Recommend highly.

This was my first huge flat screen purchase and I took a chance with the LG. I asked the customer service rep lots of questions and found this brand to be the better choice. I liked the chrome frame feature, easy set up, had lots of inputs and AV add-on's, new foot stand, and still learning to play with all the great features. The 47" was not too big and not too small, it was pretty Momma-bear, LOL. I am so happy with my 1st and maybe not the last LG flat screen.

Awesome Flat Screen

I am super happy with this product. Picture clarity, and the vibrant colors brings out the best in viewing pleasure.

Excellant picture,clean and sharp with vivid colors. Easy install and nice remote. Also has a nice stable base. If you don't want or need a smart tv, this is the way to go. Purchased from Best Buy about 2 months ago, at a great price.

Great Product

Great picture, good sound, no motion blur & easy set-up. The 47" is a decent size. Perfect if you don't want 3D, don't need "smart" set and can access internet through you Blu-ray or other device. Only minor complaint is that the optical audio out has to be switched on which turns off the TV sound (on my old set they would operate simultaneously and there is no standard stereo output. Fantastic budget-but-good TV.

Great Buy

Best HDTV I have ever owned. Went to a store and compared all the televisions and next to the 4K's this was the best. Absolutely love it. I love it so much the second LG lowers their price on the 4k's I'll be buying one of the theirs. This 47LB5900 is perfect for blu rays, DVD's streaming and network television. Apart from the limited inputs and outputs it is a dream come true. Thank you LG. I'll be back!!
