I have owned the 47” model for over 4 years now, and it has performed flawlessly. Not the resolution of the newer models, but a very good picture. This is used in our bedroom, so it has not been abused. Will own LG anytime.

Omg...We purchased this TV 3 years ago for Mom. First picture went..Then sound. LG DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR TV'S. We just discussed purchasing a 65" ... adding to the 5 we currently have. Will not be purchasing their tv products anymore. I think LG should only sell the products they are going to stand behind and be proud to have their brand on

Bought this in the summer of 2014. Tonight was in the middle of a game and all of the sudden there was no picture. Still have sound. Doesnt look like the backlights are on, I did the flashlight test and there is still an image on the screen. So either I splurge on replacment parts that might fix it if it is the LED driver but could still be the LEDs themselves. Things aren't built to last anymore. We are a throwaway society.

TV was working fine until the picture suddenly went out. Have been a long time LG customer (TV's,phones,etc and have always been until now. I never imagined a TV that was less then two years old would suddenly go out. We only have TV on 2-3 hours a day (max!). Very disappointed and not sure if I will purchase another.

TV worked fine for two years until one day, in the middle of watching it, the picture just went out. The sound was still on, but no picture. I'm beginning to understand why these products only come with a 1 yr warranty. Lesson learned: when purchasing LG, positive reviews don't mean squat. Get the extended warranty or face costly repairs.

I am so disappointed in this 47LN5200 model TV. within a year of having it one of the HDMI ports went out (should have been the first clue that this was going to be a horrible purchase) and now just recently the began a constant reboot cycle where none of the buttons on the TV or the remote will function. Worst TV ever.

We purchased an lg 47 model 47 LN 5200-Ub television. We had it a total of 13 months and the display panel went bad. I understand that we should purchase an extended warranty but you wouldn't expect a television to go out in that short of a time. For us to get it fixed is more than the tv is worth.

I love this television. It's my first flat-screen purchase and I couldn't be more pleased. The picture quality is more than I imagined. I was a little hesitant about the sound b/c most people were telling me that I would need a surround sound system. The sound quality is just fine w/o it. I am already a fan of LG.

The size of this TV is perfect for our living room, and we love the picture quality and the color. When we first got this set, we could not stop watching television. We were very pleased with this television. In spite of the salespeople trying to upsell by telling us that the picture had too slow a refresh rate for sports and that the sound was inadequate, we purchased this model just before Super Bowl Sunday, and have enjoyed it tremendously ever since then. We absolutely could follow the action of the Super Bowl, and while the sound is not exactly theater quality, it is much better than the TV which we retired. It is so good that I have not bothered to hook up my external speaker system. All in all, a very good value, and we are very happy with our purchase.

I got this TV as a gift from my children every year my wife get something electronic from them for Christmas they gave us this LG 47 inch TV this only our second flat screen TV we have the other is a Sharp TV this one fly's circles over it better quality and picture and lower in price

This television has excellent display and the colors are beautiful. I was pleasantly surprised with the internal speakers. The sound was a lot better than most flat panel TV's I had looked at.

Icertainly have to admit when shopping for TV with less cost but great picture quality I never expect to find that in this "47" LG LCD excellent choice the features are not what is after but the 60hz is a little noticeable but for the most part not that big of a deal.
