If i could give this tv 10 Stars i would. I've owned a few brands & none compare to this. The quality & features overall it's an excellent tv. Plan on buying another one maybe 65/70", will definitely stay in the LG family!

This tv is now four years old and picture is as clear as day one. Despite my hearing aids the sound is also quite audible.

Was happy with product for 3 years. Suddenly the colors changed to purple and green. A few days later the screen darkened and the LG Logo came on stating "no signal", yet our other set was still operating from the Directv dish. Repair service unable to repair. Extended warranty previously purchased replaced the television with another LG model.

I love everything about this TV. I wouldn't change anything that I can think of. Thanks LG.

Tv was easy to set up straight out of the box. Wifi was easy to set up and we like the smart features just wish it had more apps to choose from. The only problem I have had is sometimes my hdmi hook ups don't work. I have to turn off the devices and unhook cable to get it to receive signal.but other than that it's a great tv.

Excellent product. Great picture and good sound. I do not like the way WiFi disconnects and then you have to turn the set off and back on to reconnect. That is my only complaint. Other than that this TV is super. I would recommend this product to anyone and would buy another one.

Wanted to get a TV for the basement rec room and be able to wirelessly connect to the internet. The Smart 47LS5700 is perfect. The picture quality (the most important feature of a TV) is unsurpassed and the ease of setup was very simple. I use the TV primarily for streaming Netflix movies and my wife uses it to watch quilting videos and it works flawlessly. Connecting to my router which is on the first floor was no problem. The remote takes a little bit of getting use to but overall you can't go wrong with the LG brand.

This tv was on clearance because it was discontinued but I am totally satisfied with the great quality and features. Beautiful picture and sound is good also. I would buy another one.

The blacks are truly black and the whites are truly white. The remote is hard to use for the on-screen keyboard. With the internal speakers the sound is not as rich as using external sound bar or stereo system.

We purchased our LG Smart TV 47" back in September 2013 and find that it is absolutely wonderful. The only disappointment is that it did not come with a wand remote. Had to purchase a wireless keyboard to avoid using the arrow keys on the remote which takes up a lot of time. The software updates as it should when an update is available. Screen picture is clear, sound is fine except that you really need external speakers to obtain the quality that I felt should come with an LG product. If you are looking for a home theater system, it is a good choice. We chose the 47" due to spacial constraints. Does come with the capability of wall-mount. Streams video and pictures great. Web surfing is quite adequate with the capability of going full-screen. Slim screen with a great looking base if placed on a TV stand. No stand needed for the wall mount. Sturdy. Overall a great purchase. Very satisfied.

good price/performance relationship easy to handle excellent screen Nevertheless there are some enhancement requests: 1) I connected several devices via HDMI (Receiver, PC, DVD-Player). The TV should recognize its source automatically! From my point of view it's a waste of time to choose the source every time I switch on the TV although only one source is powered on anyway. My previous TV was able to figure that out and I took this feature for granted when I chose LG. 2) I'm getting error messages because I have to update the flash player if I'm using the internet directly via the LAN connection. Any ideas how to fix that?

The picture quality of this TV is excellent - bright and clear. The reason I rated four stars for quality has to do with the sound. Although Dolby Digital is available, a sound bar or home theater system has to be attached to get this sound. The basic sound from the TV is rather tinny, like an older TV. This was a bit disappointing because I was expecting better sound. We are adding a Bose Solo to get better sound, but this was an added expense we were not anticipating. Otherwise, I love the TV, and I think it is a great value for all the features.

I like this television quite a bit. It is the second LG I've purchased; it won't be the last. My only complaint is that the 120hz doesn't seem to work; I'm getting 60hz only. That's a huge disappointment because, I purchased it with 120hz in mind. I chose to keep it because the other features work and it would have been too much effort and cost to return it.

Found this 2012 set on clearance and was hooked by the picture quality. Have owned for two months now and still remark to my wife about what an amazing picture it is. (Upgraded from a CRT-based HDTV.) Smart TV features are mixed. Netflix works amazingly well, and I only have 2.8 Mbps DSL service. One reason I purchased this was the built-in support for Plex Media Server in the MediaLink app, but I learned that that had not been updated for ages and only supports about half the channels. Ick. Looks like they dropped MediaLink in 2013 sets. VERY disappointed that they sell on the basis of a feature that has already been abandoned. It shakes my confidence in LG. As far as the other smart apps, most of them are trivial and useless. Smart Share / DLNA support is halfway decent. It doesn't see all the DLNA folders that show up on other programs and iPad apps. LG Remote app on iPad works nicely and is a plus.

This TV is an absolute joy. The setup was quick and very simple, and that includes the WI-FI internet setup. The picture quality is incredible, quite life-like, and almost 3-dimensional. The TV is rich in features and the DLNA feature works very well. I have used it to stream 720P resolution video to it and it was really easy to set up. The remote also works quite well and is easy to use. It does deplete the batteries very quickly though and it should have been designed with an on-off switch. Otherwise, have a large supply of double A batteries around or take them out when not in use. I have no hesitation over recommending this TV.

I would HIGHLY recommend the purchase of this tv if you are looking for a smart tv. The picture is very vibrant and clear. It seems like you are right there in person with how vivid the picture is. The set up for internet access is very simple. I am very PLEASED with my purchase!

I really like the picture quality of this television. It was a little awkward learning to use the remote but I have figured that part out. I'm not using the Smart TV features so can't evaluate them.

After reading reviews on tvs decided to buy this 47ls5700 model. The only problem I have with it is the magic remote. I would rather have a regular remote with the number pad to use. To use the magic remote it does not give much time to click on the upper right corner to get the number keypad to show on the lower left corner and if your not fast enough the keypad will go off the screen. Also if you try to click the thumbwheel and move it slightly you change to the next channel. For someone older who is not as fast with their fingers it can be frustrating. Contacted LG about a regular remote, have to buy one.

In short, I was looking for a TV that was big enough, fast enough, and provided enough colors (especially blacks). If it came with apps and wireless then all the better. The LS5700 definitely has the beautiful colors, handles all the sporting events that I like to watch (soccer looks amazing) and also has a large number of apps. I have yet to even check out all the apps and I've had the TV for a month. For me, picture quality was the most important feature and this set came through in spades. Thanks LG!

This is our third LG television. Regardless of dealers or box store representatives, they tell us, "Buy LG!" LG produces a consistently excellent brand which incorporates new developments in technology both through their internal hardware upgrades (Thanks, LG!) as well as bringing to market enhancements which are a natural extension of the television user's experience. Take the new Magic Wand remote control - we were skeptical (where's my remote with 100 buttons) - but they've integrated it into a slim-line ergonomic shape that makes use of built-in common computer-type interfaces - "point and click", "drop down menus", etc. It hasn't broken when dropped, and while we were hesitant about the "point and click" feature similar to a Oii machine, the LG remote's cursor is much more stable. LG is an industry leader; Life IS good and it's been made better with LG.

This smart tv is easy to use. One is guided through the steps for intitial set up. No technical knowledge is needed, which is good, as I am not technically inclined. Nice clear picture and decent sound (though I have since purchased on LG home theater also). This is a great value for the dollar. I highly recommend. Netflix is easy to access and works impeccably. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Thanks!

I was envious of a friend's LG Smart TV because of the amazingly sharp picture. When the time came to buy a new TV, I set out to find a TV that could meet or beat the picture clarity. It didn't take long to find there was no other TV that could even meet the picture clarity of the LG. I found the 47LS5700 and knew that was the TV for me. The picture clarity is so sharp I've had guests comment on it. The easy to use Picture Wizard makes getting that perfect picture a snap. The Magic Remote is great and a much more convenient for moving through menus. The features and capabilities have really come in handy, such as playing workout videos from my computer on the TV via a wireless connection. And let's not forget the 4 (yes, 4) HDMI inputs. This TV is great! I can't wait to get a sound bar and Blu-ray player to take full advantage of this amazing TV.

Purchased this product online. It arrived via FED-EX in perfect condition. The set up was easy because it has more then enough ports on the back for all options. I especially like the input settings which can be personalized. The "remote wand" was included with my purchase, but to be honest, I have not used that part much and I'm glad it was free because I disconnected the wand. I love the tv's picture and rate of recovery while watching action. I wish the sound was better, but knew when I purchased it that the review on that aspect was low. However, I would buy this product again.

this is our first smart tv and we love it. connected to my wireless wi-fi in an instant and we were streaming pandora, netflix and anything else we wanted. my son bought us an LG blu-ray smart DVD player for Christmas and now my TV is doubly fun, I would recommend this product for anyone. Its virtually a plug and play product. The only down side is only two HDMI ports and I would have liked more so I could expand.

WOW! A great TV with all the bells and whistles

We replaced our old rear projection TV with this one and have been very impressed with all the features, and a GREAT picture. The Wi-Fi was a snap to set-up, and we love all the "Smart" features. Watch TV, steam NetFlix, listen to music or watch a Blu-ray DVD - everything we wanted at a very good price. We have a lot of LG products in our house and find them all to be very high quality backed with excellent customer service. Put this one on your short list to check out!
