I was given a new LG 50? tv last year when I moved into my place. It was a gift. I recently started having issues with it, with bulbs shining brighter than others. That didn?t bother me too bad, but now, the tv won?t even turn on. It goes on but the screen flickers and sits majority on a black screen. No sound nothing. I contacted customer service, they said without a receipt I can?t have it looked at? I didn?t buy it, it was a gift so I don?t have a receipt..

I never seen backlight led failing. few of the backlight LED (4 leds) failed and no replacement option for that. I ended up throwing this tv. I will never recommend this tv to anyone.

I bought new. I am very disappointed to not be getting the web os3. Our interface is horrible non TWC compliant and we have replaced two remotes. I will continue to stay loyal though. I'm about to get another lg 4K and ditch this model.

My TV has perfect screen resolution. It is like a 3d reflection on a mirror. The sound is great . The connections and the remote capabilities free the user of headaches attempting to figure out what goes with what. I relish watching TV in such pleasant conditions.

The features are amazing, the quality is out of sight. I would have thought a TV like this would have cost $3000.00 but it wasn't. Best TV $ for $ anyone can buy! You would not be disappointed if you bought one. Love the Netflix, Hulu, Internet and all the other choices it gives me. Just can't say enough about it, the product is high quality, clarity is fantastic, sharp, smart, sleak design. Even my grandkids haven't knocked it over or damaged anything on it. LG should be proud of this product and can't wait to try my next LG product. Don't know what it will be, but it will be LG if LG made a car I would probably buy it. I hope everyone that buys a TV looks at this LG model before they buy a competitors brand, just because the price may be lower.

I love my new tv, I purchased it off of Amazon but have always been happy with LG products. This 50" is so much clearer than my little 32" that I had for years. Definitely feel like I am up with the times now. Love the remote that controls everything, the only reason I give this a 4 instead of a 5 is because we still can not change channels with it so we still use our regular remote but it works for us since my 3 year old loves tv remotes we let him use the old one to click channels instead of the new one. Awesome tv!!!

My first purchase of an LG TV and I was somewhat apprehensive. It was my first Smart TV. But no worry for an "Urban Amish" person like me. (No smartphone, no lap top. Picture is simply wonderful and can be easily adjusted to individual tastes. Easy setup for anyone. LG walks you through from the very beginning as soon as you plug it in. Some reviews have complained about the blacks being "gray." I don't see it. Blacks are as black as can be. For the money it cannot be beat.

Love the TV, love the picture quality, whether watching a routine movie or fast-action sports like tennis or football. Gaming is awesome, too. Colors are very rich, blacks are true black, very pretty even when turned off. Downsides - a bit weird setting up features initially (but was my first smart TV), and the magic remote is a bit awkward. Initially it had to be pointed at an angle partially away from the TV for it to sense on the screen but it seemed to self-learn where the TV was and now works fine. The first day or two was bad, though. Stick with it - it's fine once you get used to it and it learns to work with your TV. Haven't really done much with the internet yet with the TV, though.

Excellent clarity and a very pretty picture. Easy to follow setup screens and easy to assemble. Price point is reasonable for a Smart TV. I would highly recommend the LG TV.

The resolution is great, upscaling is very real and does not make the sides and characters appear unreal. Good viewing angles. Audio is also good, unlike most TVs where the speakers are very basic.

Had this TV for a couple months and love it so far. The picture on this TV is great - crisp, vivid, bright, and handles motion very well. It took a some getting used to but it didn't take too long. The smart features are fun, easy to use and work well. I am very happy with this TV and would recommend it to anyone looking to buy a new TV.

I bought this TV for my bedroom. I had it mounted on the wall and it has been fantastic. The picture is very clear and the smart featuires are easy to use and work perfectly. It is not a 4K TV, but the picture is very good and clear and only a 4K is better. I highly recomend this TV.

The TV needs 2 legs to sit on a stand requiring a long table. Other TVs simply have one pedestal which means they can sit on a shorter table. I think that your stand should be changed. Otherwise a great product

I purchased this TV from Best Buy in December of 2014. In January 2015 the TV began to fail. The power turns on and off intermittently without warning. All settings and timers are set to normal. Often the TV will not turn on when prompted. Sometimes it turns on itself in the middle of the night. While watching a show it will sometimes turn on and off several times in a very short span (a few minutes). I will not purchase anything from LG again as this TV is completely worthless. Isn't there supposed to be some guarantee on the product? It is 2 MONTHS OLD and completely defective. Stand behind your product LG and make this right!

We had an old tube type 29 inch TV for almost 30 years. It was in color but that's about all it offered. We finally decided on a new LG 50 inch HD and wow what a difference!!. Being a smart TV we can get Netflix, Utube and many other options plus the picture is just incredible. The price and the quality came together for a great purchase.

We purchased our tv at HHGregg last fall and love the beautiful picture we havent watched anything but HD programs. Concert channels are awesome Palladia has become a normal occurance on our tv. I purchased a keyboard for internet use. Our company always remark on how great the tv picture is fantastic for football games and the Superbowl is a must see at our house.

The TV is excellent. It was easy to set up & picture quality is great. My only problem is that it will not communicate wirelessly with my IPhone 5S or my IPad air as it should. I still get emails telling me to download the IPhone app but it will not connect. Calls to tech support revealed that IOS devices will not connect. Someone needs to get their stories correct. Other apps will connect via wireless but not the LG app that is supposed to do so.

I really like our new LG TV. It has many features that make it a useful tool as well as an enjoyable TV to just "watch" TV with. I wish it had the capability to use flash technology as many web sites I would like to use demand that flash be installed. This is a limitation that I hope LG will offer an update to solve.
