This is a superior plasma tv. The picture is fabulous even in the direct sunlight in my living room. All you hear is negative comments about plasma tv's. Not this one. Great purchase that I would recommend to my best of friends!

This is the best TV I found on the market. I loved the internet capability and it works great with NETFLIX. I would definately recommend this TV for someone looking to game, watch movies, and needs a versitile television that does it all. Also very small and takes up minimal space. It doesn't look half bad as a center for an entertainment system either.

This is by far the best tv I've ever owned. Very easy to set up. Very stylish. The picture is fantastic. Black levels are as black as I have ever seen. I haven't had a hint of any burn in. Two walls in my room are all windows- very bright. This tv is plenty bright with great color. If you sometimes have trouble hearing dialog in movies over the background as I do, this tvs "Smart Sound" will eliminate that problem. Smart Sound will also eliminate the annoying increase in commercials volume. Smart Sound is only found on LG tvs, no other manufacture has it. This is truly a fantastic feature on all LG tvs. If you have trouble hearing dialog in movies then any Lg tv is for you! Netcast is a very nice feature. Pair this with a LG blu-ray and you will have it all. They talk to each other so you wont even have to change imputs, it will do it all for you and back again. The sound from this tv is very good with no need for a sound system or external speakers. Any tv with a glass screen may have some glare, however it is no different from a CRT (catho ray tube) tv and has not been a problem, even with all my windows. This is definatly a five star tv. I have no cons for this tv. Even though this is a large tv it has made my room more spacious because of its slim design. I did a lot of reserch before I purchased this tv.

I bought the LGn 50PS80 and i am very happy with this purchase. The TV comes with some great features and the picture is crisp and clean.

The television picture is nice. I definitely recommend using the HDMI output for connecting to sources. I bought the LG blu-ray player and reall happy with the performance. One of two downsides is the sound quality. I had to hook it through my home theater system to get great sound. On its own the speakers are weak and not a lot of depth. The other downside is that the ethernet is wired and not wireless. Where I have the TV is not even close to my router. So I have to go out and by additional equipment should I want access to the network features. Who in this day and age puts wired ethernet cards in anything. Other than those two things I like the set.

Great value, picture and features. We shopped around a lot before deciding on the LG plasma and one thing I loved about it was the glass front for extra durability. That gave it an edge over other LG and brand products. The THX feature is also great for movies and since we are big movie watchers, the extra features that enhance your viewing experience are most welcome. Learning to use the remote and access the features properly was a little taxing, but we did eventually get that down. We bought a LG bluray, hoping one remote would run both, but haven't been able to make that work.

Went from 42" LCD to this plasma for my main family set. From the first time it was turn on this screen has made a positive impression. Everyone that has seen it has commented on it's picture quality and sleek look. My primary reason for switching to plasma has to do with the overall lack of depth of color and weaker gray scale performance of my 42" LCD. We were pleased with our LCD but I wanted more. I watch alot of movies many of which have darker scenes in them and I was looking for a television that would give me more detail in the darker scenes as well as higher contrast levels, vivid colors and smooth motion. This plasma screen has been everything that I've been looking for, I love how sharp the picture is even at close viewing distances. We have it set on THX mode and it does movies and hi-def programming justice. The sound quality is much better on this screen than I am used to on flat screens, I've been very impressed with that. The Netflix functionality is brilliant and works perfectly, high def streaming movies take about 30-45 sec. max to buffer and standard def movies are 15-20 sec. instant gratification in my book. Out of the widgets available the only thing that I use is the weather which is handy and I will be soon trying to use it to pull photos, music and video off my network. The other widgets don't interest me because if there is typing involved then I'll always jump on a computer. TV has plenty of input options, much more than I currently need and they are positioned well. I was concerned about the reflective quality of the glass front because it is hanging on the wall in the living room which has 2) large windows, I found this to be an empty concern and literally never notice glare even with the blinds pulled up. We play games on this TV as it is hooked up to a PS3 and a Wii and have had no burn in issues although we are careful and do not allow games to be left on the screen unless someone is playing them. You will find a ghost of fixed images on the screen when you turn off a game and switch imputs but they go away almost instantly when regular viewing resumes, also comes with a white wash feature that will knock out ghosts instantly (works well). I have been completely satisfied with this set and we use it everyday, everyone that has seen it has commented on it's quality and for what I paid for my LCD 3 years ago I view this TV as an EXCELLENT VALUE. Blueray movies are superb on this set. Don't be fooled by how much brighter LCD screens look in the store next to plasma, when it comes to picture quality, depth of color, contrast and the ability to show black and gray scale this plasma literally blows my old LCD away which is also an LG screen. Once you sit down and watch a movie on this bad boy you'll wish you had two of them as I do. In my opinion the 50" is the perfect size and doesn't over power our living space. We all absolutely love watching this TV, it was a great purchase.

i am an LG guy - i have 2 LG tvs and 2 LG phones and i like the value and the quality - the only bad experiance i have had is when i bought a 42" HD plazma for my brother for XMass - it has already broke but they are coming out to fix it - took about 2 days...
