The TV stopped working suddenly about 6 weeks ago. After 2 chats, one phone call and several emails, I have received nothing but empty promises for return calls and potential solutions. Very disappointing.

We have owned the OLED tv for 5 years and the quality of the picture still blows me away!! To this day I have not seen another TV close to the OLED

I saw this television on display at Costco and found myself loving the clarity of the ultra 4K display. My wife surprised me with this 55” LG OLED TV. Excellent picture quality and superior smart TV features. It came with a smart remote that is Bluetooth, not infrared. The remote has an active pointer and is a blast to use. Love this product! Best Christmas present yet!

I thought I was buying the top of the line TV when I made this purchase only to find out after 4 years the FOX New banner had burned into the bottom of the screen. After contacting LG, they told me that there was nothing they could do for me... Not even a disclount on a newer mdel.

It's always disheartening to read the bad reviews from people who have gotten the proverbial "lemon" - my feeling is that this happens with all brands. I feel I've gotten an incredible TV. My sister's family in Oregon bought and used this TV for 2 years and opted to move up to the 65". About that time my house burned in Northern Calif and they gifted me with this TV. We carefully packaged it and I drove it to my house and set it up. Since then I've had it on in my house pretty much constantly--especially now with COVID keeping us all home. I've said all this to emphasize that, including the move, it's been well- and even heavily-used with absolutely zero problems - going strong with perfect picture. Lucky? Who really knows - but I'm extremely happy with this TV.

VIP line, that used to be so helpful, after about 30 seconds handed me off to someone else who at least attempted to help. that didnt last long either. they gave me a couple phone numbers of local shops who cant tell me if they have even worked on this tv, let alone the problem i have. i also found it highly amusing that LG wont tell me the part number of the board i need so i can attempt to fix it myself. i have to hire one of their third party guys to come order it for me. crazy main board is crapping out. at this point, i can watch for about 10 or 15 minutes before the set shuts itself off. everything else, near as i can tell, works as before. sometimes it will turn back on (also by itself) but it will usually turn back off after a moment. after maybe three such cycles, its off for good. if you turn it off and wait 15 minutes, itll work again for 15 minutes and then start shutting off/on...off.

This TV has a great picture but the main circuit board lasted 3 years and 4 months. Cost of a new board installed including bench charge came to $550. I though I was buying the best and I was right for picture quality but wrong for reliability. A $3000 TV should last more than 3 years without having to put more money into it.

I loved the TV overall. Image quality is excellent and the speakers were a vast improvement over my previous LG. Sadly, this TV is suffering from burn-in from a game that I only play for 3-4 hours through the week, while playing within the game mode setting. There's no pixel calibration for this model so... Looks like I'm stuck with this burn-in effect whenever it's a predominantly blue or green screen pictured. Sigh. I would still buy this product again just not for gaming. Strictly movies. Also, I'm stationed overseas with the TV. So there's no effective way of getting it fixed until I return to the US. Good times! I am trying to use a product to reduce the burn-in. Ie the picture below.

I love this TV because it is both 4K and 3D. The bezel is only 1/3" so it looks like it's all screen. The Smart TV features are easy to use. "Magic Remote" is voice-controlled and very accurate.

purchased in Jan 2016, ran well for most of the year, then it started getting the vertical lines, PC Richard was my extended warrantor, so they came out order parts replaced and it was good again for a little while. Then it started having problems where it would turn on but there was no display. Again service came out and replace the screen. It again worked for a short period of time and then had lines on it and then no display. The came out for service again and replace more of the same parts. It again worked for even shorted time period and then no display. Finally they came with a part, but it wasn't even OLED part(screen it was LCD. So I called and complained and they then deemed the unit unfixable and gave me store credit. So on to finding another TV, not so sure I want to travel the road again with LG... still on the fence...

Purchased this back in April, got it home safely, set it up, turned it on and a HUGE crack shows up as it's powered on. Returned it to the place of purchase and got another one. This one lasted just over a month and developed dead pixels and horizontal lines... Unable to return it at this point and the nearest repair tech is 4 hours away. LG has been horrendous about their customer support on this issue.

Bought this model after doing a through research. I was very picky in terms of image quality and wanted to get the most up to date TV that packed features & capability. Experiencing OLED at home - imagine the showroom video quality when you watch Netflix 4K movies. Try watching Stranger Things, you will know what I mean. IF you ever wondered about what is the darkest black, you will understand the hype with this OLED TV. I was skeptical with webOS at first till i tried it at home. Heavy duty app, handles swapping of video streaming app - Netflix, Amazon, You tube with no lag & buffering issues. Interactive menu - I like how the setup menus are developed and designed, easy on the eyes and straight fwd in figuring what is what. Remote - ergonomic, practical and very sensitive. Almost perfect, my only comment about it is its very sensitive on movement where the TV reacts and the pointer pops out changing the view mode on the TV. It will be annoying if you are watching tv on the bed, however its no big deal. Very satisfied with the purchase, have not had any issues with it.

Great television. Two issues: the screen jitter on some panning scenes is very, very noticeable and the lack of upgradabilityto to webOS 3.0. It is proof that LG will no longer support the television in spite of the hefty investment, which is a shame.

We bought the LG 55EF9500 TV less than 2 years ago and the panel is already going out! We love everything about this TV, but the product quality doesn't hold up! We contacted LG customer service since it is outside of the 1 year warranty period and they wouldn't do anything to help us. It will cost us just as much to repair the TV as to buy a new one. We will never buy another LG product again! #DISAPPOINTING

I have had this 55LGOLED for 9 mos. now and it is beyond perfection. I improved it a bit with ISF color and grayscale calibration, i challenge any screen to be better.

Every day I amazed how wonderful this TV looks. Blacks are spot on, the colors rich, a solid build. Only draw back is the motion blur, but 90% of the time you never notice

We bought this television last Christmas after viewing them repeatedly at my favorite store. We were viewing a 32" and went to the OLED 55". The difference in picture quality is unbelievable. Everything is more pronounced in color, bigger and more exciting to watch. My wife loves to watch movies and this has been one of the greatest purchases I have ever made.
