I have had to already have this tv serviced in the first few weeks of owning it. I had to have the power supply and motherboard replaced, and am now having issues with wifi connectivity and have had to put in for a secondary service request. DO NOT BUY THIS TV. I am potentially returning this tv and the 70" i bought as well. Sorry LG your TV's are garbage apparently.

Excellent HD Quality- beautiful picture. Plenty of inputs. Good features. Better than average SD quality. Very nice looking bezel. Two downsides: Due to the reflective coating, there is an annoying reflection (along with rainbow-colored lines emanating in an x pattern from the reflection) on the screen of light sources in the room.. it can be very distracting as you can see this regardless if the tv is on or off (if your lights are high enough in the ceiling, very dim, or shine from behind the tv, this won't be an issue). Also, when displaying 1920x1080 via the VGA input, the image is skewed so you lose the right-most part of the image. Despite these two gripes, people are always wowed by the HD quality of the tv. Without the two issues (and if the SD quality was a little bit better) I would have rated this TV 5 stars. Overall a very nice tv, and a great value.

overall the tv was great purchase for the size, price, & picture. Only problem is the sound when watching movie or playing video game unless you have the sound bar which i don't have.

Purchased after Consumer Reports reviews and buyers' reviews. Easy setup. Use on TV stand and love the 20 degree swivel feature. Found picture and sound very good even on non-HD channels.

only bad thing for me is....it needs more audio outputs to connect to some older equipment....not a big deal, but it is worth mentioning. everthing else...GREAT!!

The LG television we bought is excellent! I bought a different brand 60" but didn't like the picture quality nor the sound once I got it hooked up. I returned it and purchased this LG 55". I previously had a 47" LG and moved that to the family room for the family to play Xbox 360. The picture quality is great and I have never had problems with the old television either.

TV has an easy to understand remote, with minimum features. Seems the unit needs to warm up for several minutes before the picture has enough contrast to be viewable correctly. Picture has a tendency to fade in and out in one corner of the screen. Rear componet and HDMI connections in the rear are to tight to the mounting wall even with the correct stand off wall mount and have a tendency to crush the connectors.

Waited to use this TV for a month before writing this review. I could not be anymore pleased with a TV. Moved a LG 42" to the bedroom to make room for this one. Easy to setup, easy to use and has an excellent picture! I have it hooked up to both a LG Home Theatre system and a LG Blue Ray Disc. Life really is good!

This is a great TV and worth the price. The picture is crystal clear. Only wish that I could have used my previous surround sound and it would have had another HDMI port.

This is one awesome TV. I have only had it for a month now but the picture is one of the best I have seen. I had a surround system with my old TV and I was less than impressed with it until I connected it to the LG. When I watch a movie now I feel like I am at the theater. The set up was extreemly easy and it took me no time at all to understand the controls. I have other LG products so I was not concerned about the quality but I think they out did themselves with this one. I don't know if a product can be rated as perfect but if not then this comes as close as it possibly can.

Extremely pleased with LG. Have and will continue to recommend to others. Great picture easy to learn. Can use my surround sound and tv audio at same time or separate.

My TV was just delivered and it is so nice. It will take a while to learn all the features! Awesome!

The only thing about it is that the sound is not good without the extra speakers. It's a beautiful television

We just installed this TV at our church (for use as part of our normal Sunday services) and it is working/performing very well (just like the other 55" LG TV - 55LH40 - we purchased a month or so ago). The only interface we're using on it is the VGA input (to push computer-based video from our sound booth) and for that use the TV has worked flawlessly. The TV looks very nice in our sanctuary and its matte screen is perfect for avoiding any glare from lights/sunlight. Got an outstanding deal on the TV online and it is well worth every tithed penny.

The picture is outstanding and the controls allow you to do many things with this TV from adjusting the picture to adjusting the audio and the hertz. Got it on sale at a great price. Just wish it had an Ethernet input for netflix. Other than that a great TV

We went from a 52"projection to this 55" LCD and the picture is so much better, I am amazed. The overall look of the TV fits into our rooms decor. Life is Good now.

The picture is incredible. With all the inputs available we were able to hook up our cable box, Tivo, Roku, DVD player and Wii! What was most surprising was the sound. We have an expensive surround sound system, but the sound from the TV alone is just as good! It's beautiful, too, even down to the Cyborg-like on-off light on the front.

I previously owned a smaller LG and loved the clarity and color. Now with 1080 instead of 720, the picture is even better (if that is possible) on this 55" than my old 37". Settings initially were a bit complicated, but not impossible. Watch the audio settings. With one it just keeps compensating and you keep turning it up. Great value...nice picture. Once again I am happy with an LG. Liked it so well, I bought a new 42" for my office/man room.

I am very pleased with my LG television. The picture is great and the viewing angle is great. Color is impressive and clear. I would recommend this tv to anybody who asked as well as LG as a whole. I am quite impressed with your company. I have an LG Dare phone and have had it for over 2 years now and it is still working like when it was new. I make it a habit to shop LG above all other brands when I am in the market for new electronics

This is a Full HD television anyone would be happy with, at almost any budget. It's great for sports and fast action offering technologies that make the LD520 something better.
