The picture is clear and crisp, but I can only hear anything when I plug the tv into an external speaker via aux. I also can't find anything online about it, and have no idea how to fix it.

This is my first LG 3D on our household, we bought it five years ago and my mind was blown away with the picture quality, just watching Blue Ray 3D it was incredible the definition you get, just bought me a 60 UH 8500, even though I don't own a Blue Ray 3D UHD 4K player, just with my old one, that came with the 55 fiver years ago in a bundle, it still kicking it

I still have the TV in Feb 2016, and it remains working great since the day I bought it in 2011. I did have to replace the DVD player 5 years later, but replaced it with the latest LG DVD player, because I never had a problem with the original one during the 5 years I had.

I bought this to get a great looking 3D Cinema TV. It had decent features, an included Blu-ray player, and best of all a good selection of other inputs. My MacBook pro plugs in and configures easily, as do my other Windows based products. My Videoke equipment, PS3-4, XBOX-one/360 etc and it all works in 3D. real or virtual. no isuues in the several years I have had the bundle.

bought this tv bundle over a yr ago and was so happy. the picture was good. the 3d was great. sound not so much. blue ray died about 6 months after we bought it.then 6 months ago it started turning off and back on randomly till it turned off and wouldn't turn on! so we replaced the power board and that worked for 3 weeks then it turned off again and wont turn on! not worth the money to only of lasted a yr and half. wont ever buy a lg again

I bought this on black Friday 2012. its been going great. almost 7,000 hours on it with no problems. hardly ever use the 3D. wish it had WiFi and apps. about to retire it for a smart TV. best TV I have ever bought.

have had the 55LW5300 for about a year now and love it! great value, reliable, great quality. you can spend a lot more, but I don't know why! bought the 3D home theatre setup a few weeks ago and they integrate nicely. both a excellent find in my book. I did a lot of research on these two units.

The 55LW5300 has great picture quality and a variety of settings for all types of shows. As usual, the speakers aren't that great but I use a Bose surround system when i need better sound quality.

We knew we would never watch that old TV after watching the one in the den. Wish they would make more 3D movies. We got 2 pair of glasses and a blue-ray player with it. Like the kids say Awsome.

My HDTV of 5 plus years went on the blink and my wife and I decided to replace it for newer technology. Upon visiting several stores we came across the deal with the 55 inch LED LCD 3D television which included a 3D BluRay player and 4 pairs of 3D glasses. After comparing the other deals we felt that this was the best buy for the money. When we brought it home I called my nephew to help me sit it up. He arrived with his mother whereas in less than 30 minutes we were turning on the set. My nephew, who had worked at an electronics outlet, showed me stations that would demonstrate the 3D capability. The picture was absolutely remarkable. Very pleased with the purchase.

This is a discontinued product but is still available from some retailers. But wow what a TV. I bought this TV just because of the great 2D picture. I don't find 3D all that compelling, but this TV does a great job with 3D without the hassle of the heavy active shutter glasses. I bought it at one of the big electronics store last (2011) Christmas and they gave me a competitive price match with an on line retailer. The picture has to be seen to be believed. Honestly,when viewing Blu-Ray disks or other 1080P sources it is like you watching through a window. If I had a complaint, it would be that super fast motion leaves some artifacts and a slight blur. No one else in the family sees them so it certainly is not all that obvious. I compared it to the other brand that offers passive 3D and the LG just blows it away. Our family room is much wider than it is long so there are some pretty sharp viewing angles, but the LG handles them perfectly. No loss of resolution no matter where you sit. In my opinion, the LG LED TVs are by far the best values out there. I am hoping to get another LG this Christmas for my new man cave.

This is the best entertainment I've ever purchased. As an home appliance technician I am familar with the reliability of LG electronics and why I only looked for an LG 3D big screen TV. Very clear picture in 3D and amazing quality of 3D image. Even the regular shows I watch on cable are crisper images. Very happy with my purchase.

We have had our LG 3D TV for 6 mos and have never had a problem viewing 3D movies or any kind of movie. It is easy to setup and easy to use. The combo package was a fantastic find. Now we have added 3D movies into our video library and video rentals.

This bundle was a great deal. The only things I felt it was missing was wi-fi and access to some online products like Netflix, Hulu, etc. Other than that, the quality is excellent and it gives you everything you need to start watching things in 3D.

We bought this unit as a bundle in christmas at Sears. It is our first 3d tv but not our first big screen. I've been a plasma lover for years now and wasn't sure about this tv. After watching it for two months now I still like plasma tv's better. The refresh rate in this tv gives a "news show" effect to all movies, plasma always looks "filmlike". Anyway 3D movies is a great gizmo but the quality of some films in that format is far from perfect (specially the last Harry Potter flick) so I keep watching them in 2D first and later in 3D. I think this tv is a great value for its price and a good entry level equipment for your family room. Not sure I'll buy again.

I've been playing with this television for a few months now. I've used every feature I can think of and I'm still really enjoying this beauty. I had two big screen TVs and my wife gave me the excuse (said she liked my dad's 3D TV) to do some research. I scanned all over the internet for a week reading reviews and such. Everything pointed me to this TV. I am VERY pleased with the picture, 3D, 2D to 3D conversion on the fly, and menus. I pump video from my laptop and can watch 3D video and the picture is stunning. Same with the PS3. The 3D depth is great and I get no eye strain which is surprising because I was warned that this could trigger my migraines. I honestly think the only thing it is missing is the "Smart media" which I already get from two other sources so I wasn't concerned. The picture quality is so good, it is almost too good. I watched Starwars on Blue-ray and it was so clear, I could see flaws that I normally would miss. The picture is very bright and I tend to use the intelligent sensor so that it dims down in the evening. Compared to my dad's Active 3D, this thing smokes the doors off of it. What am I really trying to say? This TV is incredible. P.S. I am home installer for audio/video equipment and a computer consultant so I don't say these things lightly.

My wife and I went to a number of stores with displays and asked lots of questions and from the information we gleaned, we narrowed down our choice until we felt this was the best overall HDTV for our needs and wants. We were not disappointed. It paid off doing our homework first. This TV is awesome in many respects. Unless there is some specific/specialized feature you are looking for that this one does not have, and you would like to have the 3D option available to you, I don't think you will find anything better for the money.

After researching several different brands of LED TV's, I settled on the LG 55 inch and am so glad I did. I have yet to see a better picture than the LG. A true digital TV (1080p). My wife and I just love the 2D to 3D conversion technology. We can view any show in 3D, not just a 3D movie. The 3D player is awesome with the simple link, just put in a disc and it connects automatically. The LG 3D glasses are real light and comfortable to wear over rx glasses with no head aches like the old glasses do. Product works as advertised, right out of the box but I hooked mine up on a TV rack with built-in universal mount. For added movie enjoyment, I hooked up a High Definition sound bar. Thanks "LG" for the technology in my Home Movie Theater.. Keep up the outstanding technology. Very happy consumer...

We purchased this TV about 3 weeks ago and we have had no issues at all. The picture quality is the best it can get! The 3D feature is awesome. The only thing that is disappointing is the sound. It tends to be high on the 'treble' side and there is no option given to adjust it. Being a great product as this is it is disappointing that LG couldn't have invested in a better sound system (adjustable sound system with bass). The sound doesn't bother my husband but to me it is annoying at times. Other than that I highly recommend this TV! It has a beautiful picture!
