We bought this TV and just after the warranty expired we started having white dot show up on the screen shortly after that the picture failed completely. When we contacted LG they said it was out of warranty and they could not do anything to help us. This is the first time I purchased an LG and I have never had a TV fail before. All of our TVs have lasted at least 10 years. I also looked it up and saw this model has been discontinued due to a manufacturing floor design. We are very disappointed they did not stand behind their product.

Since the 5.05.75 update, my backlight auto shuts off when local dimming dims the colors and goes dark. The backlight will disable leaving the picture unseen (Use flashlight test). A temporary solution is to disable all picture perks like noise reduction and local dimming off with backlight set to 100. Please fix this.

The color and picture was, was fantastic, but the picture went out after 3 years. So I rank it a 2 start because of quality.

I bought this product for years ago and I loved it. I had a great picture. Then two weeks ago I started losing the picture. I had someone out to look at it and they told me it was the backlight and I could not be fixed. Needless to say I am very disappointed that this product only lasted four years.

I would have given this TV five stars up until the back-lighting failed after just 3 years. This was a huge purchase and I expected a product with a significantly better lifespan. No more LG products for me!

Amazing picture, the 3D is really superb. The only down are the apps. not a lot of them, and kinda slow. Otherwise they're great!

The picture is outstanding! The mouse is a little quirky, but you will get used to it. Setup is relatively easy. I am very pleased with this purchase.

I bought this TV a couple of months ago and the picture and sound are very nice. It is very easy to use the apps and the voice command works very well too.

My partner and I lead very busy lives and when we have time to just chill and relax at home, we love to watch our TV programs, movies, and enjoy the picture quality and ease of use with the new webOS. We have been big fans of LG products and use exclusive players and TVs for different rooms of our house. I enjoy showing off my new smart tv to friends and family. I look forward to many hours of entertainment with our new LG TV.

Not being a tech type person I cannot give specs like some do. This is what I know, after 50 years of watching television, and owning three large flat screens this is by far the best combination of picture, and features that one might hope for. It includes multiple sound settings (get a sound bar you will be glad you did, and the easy to use "magic remote" takes you to a home screen full of options. Now I have this smart tv working with my amazon prime movie account for tons of shows, and this set will guide you as to color setup if you do not like any of the multiple pre-set ones they allow you to select from. I tend to use the sports setting, the vivid is just that downright overpowering. Other settings smooth out the picture, the setup was so simple after five minutes I was off checking out the features. Be aware it has two small widely spread out feet to hold it upright which means either a very wide entertainment center, or plan on wall mounting. They are probably 55 inches apart. Other than that a really great set, have fun with the settings you can always do a factory reset.

This is my second LG TV. I would definitely buy another one next year. It is very easy to set up especially with my LG Blu-ray surround system. The price is very reasonable considering all the features included.

I've always wanted a 250hz TV since I have a great eye for motion, this tv met my expectation, the brightness sensor it is one of many great features, the smart apps are really awesome, now I can basically do everything in my new tv, gaming image it is so clear, my wife and I love our LG TV, we had a few friends over and were astonished with the quality, a few weeks after this great purchase I went and got the LG 4k TV for my bedroom so far we are pleased with our tv's, if you are looking for quality tv's please don't look around LG is the way to go.

LG TVs are value for money. Excellent Feature set. (WebOs, ease of usage) Great audio/video quality . IPS panels are exceptional. Add to above great pricing. Though there might be some skirmishes as in all other brands This is my second LG TV (Second being 47LW6500). I love both the TVs.
