Bought this used from EBAY in 2012. Was blown away by 3D. Never a problem....Amazing from our using it 10 hrs a day for 13 years, plus all the years it was used prior. Just wanted to say Thank You LG!

I bought this TV (65UB9500) in Jan of 2015. I was originally quite happy with it. However, recently it developed a problem, where WIFI stopped working (that was OK, I used wired Ethernet), but annoyingly upon initial turn -on, it cycles itself on/off for about 5 minutes (about 16 times), after this sequence it works perfectly. I called LG and after trying several things: hard reset, go back to factory settings, unplug all HDMIs, unplug from AC without any change in behavior. I then had an LG certified technician investigate. He first unplugged the WIFI board - no difference. He then concluded that it was the main board. He contacted LG, but that that board is now discontinued! So, the result is that I have a TV that works beautifully (once the annoying 5min on/off self-reset cycle has comppleted but I either live with this, or throw out the 65UB9500 and buy a new TV prematurely, or live with the annoying 5min of resetting! Neither option is good! consider LG a high quality and performance TV maker, but am very disappointment with this situation, and hope LG has a remedy here.

I love this TV one of the best ever built to date, and will hold it value because of its unique features that only come with a high end product such as the LG 65UB9500. The 65UB9500 is a Super 4K at 240 experience that maxes out a 6k if you have the hardware capability and the proper cable cord. It's also great for gamers looking for a judder less experience because of the 1500 Hz or other words 1500 UCI (Ultra Clarity Index).

I Purchased this TV sometime ago. It has been an absolute joy to me and I take the very best care of it. The 4K display is awesome and I have many many movies now in 4K the 3-D has thrilled my grandchildren and their friends for hours on end and has even excited me and quite a few shows. I so want to upgrade this to OLED… But Covid took care of that.

4.5 yr old tv and some apps stopped working. LG sends messages that it was Hulu’s decision but the message makes sure you know if you go buy a 2017 or newer LG tv the app will magically start working. I won’t make the mistake to buy from lg again where your 4.5yr old product is no longer supported.

My wife and I needed a washer and dryer since our worn out washer and dryer was breaking down, giving us some warning signs. This washer works great, especially washing a king size comforter. Wife also likes the idea of using less detergent since LG washers was design of being energy efficient. Many features to select from a big load of wash to a small and delicate clothes.

This tv has a great picture and has good features. The only downfall is the black levels and no hdr support which is a bummer. Only 1 input will actually support 4k but with not a lot of 4k devices on the market that is ok. I love the picture on this tv its very bright and at 65 inches makes you feel like you are there expecially with football games. I really wish it had hdr or an update to unlock this feature because I know this tv could be unbelievable with that feature. Also the apps are terrible and kinda an all over the place tricky interface that I rarely ever use. Overall I do love this tv it has made my living room the place to be on Sundays for football all my buddies are impressed

Right out of the box the TV was great, has a nice slim design, and only took a few minutes to set up. The apps are easy to maneuver the options for settings are great. I like the ability to connect to LG speakers via Blue Tooth. After owning the TV for 7 months, I started noticing shadowing on the screen. The shadows are vertical and are most evident when the picture is panning from side to side when in mid and bright tones. So I called LG to process a warranty claim and they were very helpful and send a technician over to diagnose. I had a not very great experience the first two times getting the person to show up for the appointment which was a 4 hour window. After the third try, the technician replaced the screen panel. In less than a month, I had to call back to have them come back to replace the screen again as the shadowing stared to show up again. Open a new claim but the technician showed up and basically said that that is the way the TV screens are. When I evaluated the unit at the store, I did not notice any of these issues. I have now requested a third claim to get the panel or TV replaced. Customer service had been helpful in trying to resolve my TV quality issue. 2 Stars due to the degradation of the picture quality. I hope they resolved this issue with newer models.

As a TV I'm very happy with this purchase but I purchased the TV looking to be on the leading edge of smart TV technology. The TV has a great picture and is easy to setup and use. The huge downfall of this TV is the webOS V1.4 operating system. This operating system does not support Adobe Flash Player and LG has no plans to add support. This prevents you from viewing almost any video through the internet plugin. I could have saved myself a lot of money by buying a TV. So much for leading edge.

Had not planned on getting a 4k TV, but my wife was mesmerized by this picture in the showroom. Amazing clarity. Even without a 4k feed at home, the picture is awesome. I love the smart apps (need more of them. All in all, very happy with this TV.

I just bought this set last month and it has exceeded my expectations due to the quality of its upscaling and the subsequent image enhancement. The colors are rich, 4K media from internet sources streams beautifully and even the compressed signal from our cable provider looks almost as good as OTA signal from local transmitters. I also really like the AN-MR500 remote that comes with the set. It fits in the hand and manages the other devices, receiver, gaming and Blu-ray that comprise my Home theater. I looked very hard a several top of the line competitors before settling on the LG and have been very impressed.

Looked at lots of televisions, decided on the LG because of past history of good service from LG products. The picture is excellent, the best of all the televisions in the store and the price was better considering all the features. I watch "You Tube" all the time and if I want to find a particular song, or person or any other subject for that matter, just say find it on the remote, presto, there it is. The 3D feature is cool, you can change regular shows into 3D with the press of a button. There's so much stuff to try that I find myself spending hours playing with the Smart features.

This TV is the only set we found with a decent view from off to the side. That is why we bought it. On the other hand, we came to dislike the clumsy smart remote that is difficult to operate. The picture, especially on faces, is never quite in focus. We were accustomed to a sharp picture on another brand and this is the biggest disappointment.

This was my first LG purchase and I love it! The 4K up-converting feature works wonderful. You don't have to wait for 4K broadcasts to enjoy. SHARP & CRISP images and no blur motions. The magic remote took a little getting used to, but it works well. The cable tv remote connected seamlessly to the TV. Handsome table-top stand. We recommend this product to all!

The picture is wonderful. We have found no quality issues, the TV has worked well and the picture is great ... Also like the way I can use my audio receiver seamlessly with the TV. The combination of the TV and my audio system has significantly upgraded our viewing experience. One feature I would like to see is the ability to use my iPhone via airplay. Apparently ( I have not done it yet ) the phone can be plugged into the TV via a cable ... this TV is so great ... why not support airplay? Overall - very happy with purchase.

I can't begin to tell you how wonderful this television is. The screen is huge and allows you to view your television shows either up close or at a distance clearly. The clarity is clearer than any television I have ever owned and the colors are bright and vibrant. Pros: Great picture. It often blows me away with some Blu-ray movies and even while I could stand to have a more up-to-date Blu-ray player. The 3D effect is impressive (as examined while viewing real 3D from online streaming video so far as I have yet to purchase a 3D Blu-ray player) and even the 2D to 3D conversion is impressive even though less than 'real 3D' as expected. I presumed the 2D to 3D conversion would be a cheesy, boxed dimensional/perspective effect, but it actually does a decent job of translating the items on the screen to their proper positions for the most part. The voice command on the remote has worked well, rarely misunderstands commands and has been quite convenient at times. This unit has a 3.5mm mini-jack for analog headphones/external speakers even though it is not mentioned on LG's specs. Cons: Too many features relegated to menu control. Features such as changing Screen Aspect format require bringing up the menu to select the desired format rather than just cycling through formats quickly at the push of a button or cursor buttons. Likewise with selecting an input device (HDMI1, HDMI2, AV1, etc.) requires on-screen selection when it could have been done with an individual button. Most everything is on-screen menu driven which can be disturbing for other viewers who may not wish to have their viewing interrupted while you make a simple adjustment. This aspect is what I find it's biggest negative. The motion controlled remote on-screen cursor is too intimidating to my elderly family members to the point that they will often not bother with the TV if someone else hasn't already turned it on. The 3.5mm Analog Audio Output can be set for using Headphones or an External Audio device. However, when using this audio source the equalizer and other audio adjustments are disabled. When using this output set for an External Audio device the volume control is disabled as well. There is a lack of documentation explaining features. The paper manual primarily addresses setting up the TV and little more. The built-in User Guide, available as one of the included SmartTV apps, offers more information about many features but is still inadequate. I have had the TV for a month and there is a symbol that sometimes appears in the top left corner when viewing channel information which looks like a broadcast tower with radio waves emanating from it. I still have not found out what it is suppose to be indicating considering other comparable channels often do not show this symbol. This symbol is not explained anywhere in any documentation, on-screen or otherwise. There is no information about how to delete previously saved screen images from the built-in photo editor. Eventually I found that you had to go into a section of the settings in the menu and find the memory folder in which it was stored in order to delete them. Why not just delete them from the Photo Editor? Or at least include that info in the Users Guide. These, among others, are the kinds of information that is lacking. Despite these issues I still like this TV very much. Other Thoughts: A note about 3D viewing: 3D viewing is evidently designed for optimal viewing with the TV's horizontal center at eye-level. I have an electric-fireplace entertainment center which seats the base of the TV at about 40" above the floor. It is, therefore, above eye-level when sitting. As a result, the 3D edge alignment diverges at the upper area of the screen. It is very annoying, more prevalent with lower resolution images and the TV provides no means to compensate for this divergence. There are no such adverse affects related to the height of the TV for normal 2D viewing. But if you do not want to have this nuisance while viewing 3D, you may want to be mindful of the height of your own TV stand or the height at which you might plan to mount this TV on a wall.
