Had it for 8 years and it's not obsolete. Still love the features but it needs to have its App Store updated. I can't get certain apps as they're not offered/compatible on tv.

I've had the TV since 2016, and have had absolutely no issues. It was super easy to set up, and has been great with the 3D movies too. Crisp and clear picture.

I?ve had this tv for a few years now and it still looks and acts new. My dad bought a competitors brand tv recently and he couldn?t believe how much better my LG picture is. The colors are bright and the black is true. There are lots of smart apps available and the menu is very user friendly. There is a bit of a glare but it?s fixed easily by tilting the tv.

I'm having problems connecting my LG 65uf8500 to my Yamaha RX-V481 amplifer/tuner. I have it on TV and it changes to DVD player. Sound also switches.

Everyone that watches it, loves the picture quality. But I am writing now cause of an issue that has become really big and annoying. Just 4 years after spending so much money on this TV, the display doesnt always turn on when I first turn the tv on in the morning. Only backlight comes on and I can hear sound but no picture. Then I have to wait upto an hour sometimes when the picture finally shows up and then rest of the day no issues. But same thing next day. 80% of the time the first start of the tv there is no picture. Works flawlessly other 20% of the time. Many have reported the LGs have an issue with the T-Con boards and they've had to change the board out or heat the TCon board to get the soldering to right.. Another issue I notice is the bottom left side of the screen gets extremely hot. Hope LG can help, Spent way too much for it to last only 4 years.

we have had this TV for less then 4 years and all of a sudden the HDMI ports have all went out which makes the TV useless. With the amount of money we spent we expected a longer life cycle. We will never purchase another LG TV.

I am glad I purchased LG Premium Care Plan, I had several issues with the WI-FI connection, they have replaced twice the WI-FI card and still have same issues with the TV. It keeps dropping the WI-FI connection in the middle of streaming a show, I have my WI-FI router next to the TV and keeps dropping the connection. I have other TVs different brand in first and second floor of my house and I never had any issues with them. I gave three starts because it has other features I liked but these days other TVs have same or better features.

Upgraded my LG 55LA6200 to the LG 65UF8500. Noticeable difference in color obviously as it IS 4K. The picture is great. There's no HDR or Dolby Vision with this model BUT it does have the 3D. The 3D on this set is BEAUTIFUL! Flicker free, crystal clear and 3D great depth. I upgraded the LG 47LH30 TV in my bedroom to a Sony XBR 55X930D. Beautiful HDR picture and 3D but the Active 3D IS TERRIBLE! It flickers and turns off with both Generic and Sony Active 3 glasses. Passive 3D is definitely better. My goal was to find an affordable 4K, Passive 3D LG tv. This was just in my price range with a local seller. . I have an Xbox One X and Amazon Fire TV (2017) connected for my 4k content andthe picture is fabulous. The Fire TV outputs all content in 4K beautifully on this set, either with native 4k content or upscaled Full Hd. Great options for the price. The Next LG model with both 4K and HDR is the 60 UH8500 priced over $1000 more than what I paid for this 4K, 240Hz, 3D set. Not quite sure HDR is worth it yet. 3D Tv are no longer made and I prefer my 3D movies over regular so I'll have to pick up the LG OLED 3D model this year before they become extinct. In Summary: Awesome TV for the price and features.

bought tv in dec. 2016. only lasted 5 days. took back to store and they exchanged. 8 months later the panel had problem . white vertical line down med, of screen had panel replaced under warranty.

I bought this a couple of months ago when my LG Plasma finally died. I had such a good experience with my other LG set for something like 6 years I didn't really bother looking at other brands for the main set in our home. I couldn't be happier with this TV. Really to even call it a TV does it a disservice as it does so much more. I want to throw stuff from my cell to.my TV 2-3 clicks it's there...so easy.

Had the tv for a year and then as soon as it was out of warranty the backlight went out. After searching i found this is very common with lg tv's. Up until that happend it had great sound and picture and was satisfied.

I have been wanting a large screen 60"+ LG 3D TV for awhile, but have never bit the bullet and spent the money. My wife got me this for a Christmas present and I wish I had bought one back when I first wanted it. The picture quality is remarkable. The 4K UHD is like looking out a window. Watching 3D movies is wonderful! I am building my 3D library up even more than before. The 2D to 3D conversion is incredible. The depth perception is truly enhanced. Blu-rays and live tv look the best. It does not provided jump out the screen pictures, but I don't expect it to. That's what the true 3D is for. The built in speakers are really good and fill the room even though I would like to add an LG home theater to it to further enhance the 3D movies. Also it is a Smart TV with many apps. The Netflix, Amazon, Vudu, well all of them perform flawlessly. It has a built in TV guide to show what is available to watch on all channels, over the air and streamed. (We use an outdoor antenna, no cable or satelitte. The "magic remote" is real easy to use and has features I am still discovering. Just tried the voice search feature the other day. Worked great! Overall, great product, really wish I hadn't of waited so long to get it. Highly reccommended.

This TV would have been 2 years old March 15 ,2017. In Jan. 2017 the TV developed a green line top to bottom 6" in from right side of TV. Would think Tv would last longer than less than 2 years old. Loved the Tv before it failed.

This unit has a very good picture - cable here is not 4K - now that's sad. But have put in 3 - 3D DVD's wow great picture vey clear / 3D is very good, we love 3D. We think in house 3D is so much better than at the theater, sound was very good too. Was easy to hookup and get started. This our second LG 3D product - they do it right with a good value.

We bought our 65UF8500 a month ago and we can not believe how great the picture is. We are still learning how to use all the features. We wish they would have included a manual with it instead og foing to the web.

My wife and I visited several appliance and electronics stores looking for the perfect television to replace our primary 55 inch screen TV. We selected the 65 inch LG 4K because of the phenominal picture and the outstanding sound quality. We've had the TV for a couple of months now and could not be happier. We also purchased a home theater system with the television, but the sound quality of the television stands on its own and I routinely turn the home theater system off. The mounting base for this TV is exceptionally solid, which gives us no wind of comfort when the grandchildren visit. I would recommend this TV to anyone because it has everything you could ever want at the highest quality that I've ever seen. I truly enjoyable experience

I've had this TV for a few months now and I have to say that after reading the reviews I was skeptical about the so called "bleeding back light" but so far I have not seen one issue with that, I waited a couple of months to review this TV just to give it a proper time since a lot of people seem to have problems after a short period of time but so far I haven't had any. This TV has preformed as it should, this TV is mounted on my wall and looks amazing, the 3D is a pretty good addition special for the kids. My only complaint is the battery life on the remote, this remote goes thru batteries likenobody's business (I use name brand too) but other then that I haven't had a problem with it yet
