I've used my LG Ultras for over 5 years with great battery life. Still will play music for a full shift with a fresh charge. just recently one of the earbuds stopped working however i believe it was mostly my fault as I always used the same bud for phone calls. i think it would have lasted 10 years if i had alternated use.

I got these sometime in 2018 when they first released and they have been quiet good till last week when the left cable got stuck. I tried to fix it on my own, but in the process lost the sound on the left side. For more than 2 yrs, this tone ultra was around my neck for much as 15 hours a day. While i do agree the quality for music is a bit lacking, the battery life, quality of sound for talk have been really impressive. I have had similar bluetooth headsets from other leading manufacturers including the sound sport, but the easy and the ability to use and forget are far better on the Tone Ultra.

I bought this a year ago and initially loved it. As it got closer to the 1 year warranty, it started to malfunction. Sound worked in one earbud and not the other. Also it started to go into speaker mode on its own. I sent it back to LG for a repair/replacement. It was returned to me within 2 weeks stated that it was repaired/replacement. Upon using it, it presents with the same problem. I am disgusted! I would not purchase this again.

I bought this for work, but I immediately had issues. The earbuds are not designed well and are easily lost due to not having enough of a lip to properly grip the headphones. The wires attaching the earbuds are flimsy and will wear out very quickly. After moderate use for a few months one earbud completely stopped working, with the second breaking soon after. As much as I appreciate the long battery life I will not be making another LG purchase if I can help it. Customer service was not helpful while these were under warranty and having lost the receipt I can't go in-store to get them replaced.

I bought these at a love’s truck stop a month ago, I wasn’t expecting much but I can honestly say I’m surprised, they are the first pair of Bluetooth headphones I’ve had that both sound good and last all day. I use them just about everyday with my iPhone, greatly recommended. Don’t necessarily like the retractable cord tho, I have a feeling it might wear out over time

i dont know what these guys talking about but mine works just fine. its nothing fancy but does the job. good sound with decent bass, cant hear the noise outside when both are in your ear, calll reception is good and sound is clear, and connects easily cheaper then amazon cons not for gym or running 5 years with different models 730 770 820 835 1125

Horrible sound on this set. Everyone says I sound like I'm under water or muffled. I'm so tired of having to repeat myself when having a conversation. The reception is bad I can have my phone in my right hand while walking and it breaks up as if I'm in another room. I'm going to try the HBS-835SE to see if the external speaker makes a difference or not.

This headset fails on the most important feature: sound. Volume is low, unusable in the street. Bass is low, even when Bass preset selected via LG Tune app. Poor considering the price range. Pros: - lightweight - easy connectivity, good range - battery life - good voice quality during indoor call Cons: - sound volume low - practically no bass, low bass even with Bass preset - mic acceptable only indoors, poor noise cancellation - not for running Conclusion: only for low volume indoor use in no noise environment. Not for bass lovers. Not recommended.

Got these last weeks went for a walk with my phone in my back pocket sound was cutting in and out at one point it could not stay connected had to carry my phone on my hand to hear my music. Better off with my cord headphones

Awesome lightweight earphone, phenomenal sound for the money. I dont understand how can people be so dissapointed when they nailed it. Great battery life too makes them perfect. I had many headphones, these ones rock, for wireless, they are best buy. If you want better, then look fot Bose.

I loved these headphones when I got them. Good quality and comfort. Great battery life. But one day I was using them, set them down for a bit, and then when I picked them up one of the buds had no sound. I'm so sad, because they seemed so good but then they broke so easily. Please don't buy these headphones. Not worth the price for a flimsy product.

Sounds fine. Mic pics up way to much surrounding noise. Cant be heard unless im in a very low noise environment.

I finally decided to break the seal and try out my new LG TONE ULTRA HBS-835. I was excited about the retractable ear buds. Well no one could hear me talk, I had to put the mic to mouth like a truck driver head-set, then one ear bud would not lock once pulled out, so one side of the headset would be in the air and lastly I would have to turn the volume up and hold the ear bud into my ear a lot of times to hear a caller. So disappointed.

I picked up a set of LG HBS-835 headphones after owning a pair of 820's for over a year, and only replaced them after I got into a pool wearing them. The 820's worked great and had a long battery life. I don't think the battery on the 835 is as good, and the headset will not pair after 5 days of use. I went through all the pairing troubleshooting and no luck.

I own many headphones and these are by far my favorite. JBL really knows how to make some earbuds. LG on the other hand is not the best at their part. The sound is amazing but the programming of the headphones is terrible. Calls do not work well with Samsung phones. People cannot hear me well on my Samsung S8 but my LG phone works fine. I also don't like that you cannot completely turn off the vibration. I wear these when in bed and they still randomly vibrate throughout the night and wake me up even though the vibrate function is turned off.

I got these to replace my very broken HBS-820, which I was decently happy with. I figured this uses bluetooth 5 and should be a good upgrade. Not only does it not use any bluetooth 5 features, it barely uses bluetooth 4 features. Limited to CD quality and about 30ft of range, apparently no aptX or LDAC support, and no range/signal boost. Ear cups didn't fit, and it doesn't come with bigger ones. Battery doesn't last as long as HBS-820. Bass is lacking and the built-in equalizer (which requires the app to change) does almost nothing. All controls combined to one slider and one button, very annoying to skip through songs. Holding the button redials the last contact and can't be turned off. Retracting earbuds seems better/smoother. Overall significant downgrade from previous versions. I'm disappointed.
