East to set up

Yes, we still watch DVDs and had not set up a tv to stream anything until purchasing the LG BP350. It was with much trepidation we purchased this smart DVD player for our older flat screen tv and held our breath and began the set up. Very easy, even I could follow it. We are now Streaming!

Wouldn?t stay connected to Wifi

Had to exchange player twice before deciding to return it. WiFi wouldn?t stay connected even with modem right next to player. All other devices in the house connected without error. LG customer service was quick to issue a refund so that was nice.

It?s ok.

As a DVD player its fine but not much for the internet connection. Very limited search use unless you only want Netflix and U tube. I would not recommend this unit. Can?t add anything to it, like Amazon. This is an old model, really only good for DVDs?

BP350 DVD Player

I bought the BP350 DVD player at Best Buy. Initially, it was erratic,i.e., loss of audio and /or video. The performance progressively deteriorated. Since this period of unsatisfactory performance lasted for 30 days, Best Buy will not replace the player. For the past several weeks, I have been trying to have LG provide a replacement or refund and have been blocked by your technical procedures. Can you give me a physical address or telephone number to resolve the matter? So far I've only received thanks for registering the machine or, in this case review the purchase. Don't you have any humans to interact with dissatisfied customers?,

Reliable and ?sound? performance

This sound bar and subwoofer combination provides a powerful, clear and rich sound. I couldn?t be happier with the equipment and it?s price point. True value.

Smart Blu-Ray Player / BP350

The last DVD Player I owned was beginning to have recurring problems, so I went to a Best Buy, to buy a new machine. I didn't want to spend a lot of money, but wanted to get something affordable. I noticed this machine has "wireless streaming", which these days, is a plus. I believe that this product is more than worth the price I paid. Not just that, but it's compact size allows for placement in any entertainment center set up.

I?ve had this player for going on 3 months. I don?t think you could match this product for the same price and features. Great player!

Sadly Outdated

We bought two of these devices. Now after a month of struggling with using Amazon Prime, we can only get part way through a movie before the Bluray player dumps us off, and we need to relaunch. This occurs on both units. LG now wants use to send in for service, but the Updates, date back to 2016 - Why isn't there something more current? Why do they only work on 2,4GHz wifi? Why is there nothing newer available?

Mostly Awesome

Don't count this Blu Ray player out. It is very nice. The streaming does pause because they did not put enough memory into it. I bought it to be a Blu-ray player not a fire stick. It is a good economical blue ray player over all. It play discs of all kinds very nice.

Not worth the money or headache

Bought this at Walmart and the EXACT SAME DAY we were having troubles with streaming Netflix and Amazon prime!! Seems to be an issue everyone is having with this DVD player. The player itself works fine but the streaming is HORRIBLE!! It either freezes on Netflix or Amazon (so much that you have to unplug it to get it to work again or, it lags so much it?s not even worth the hassle of streaming!! Don?t bother wasting your money or time on this trash.

It works OK, so far

I gave a bit of time before writing this review, allowing for at least some level of testing it out before coming to any level of a conclusion. I'll say that for the money, this player does work well. It providing wifi connectivity is very convenient and helpful... again, especially considering the money spent for the player. I have the player connected to a TV upstairs in our bedroom, with my wifi router being downstairs, and it maintains a stable wireless connection. A couple of negatives I encountered, which contribute to the 3-star "Average" rating. I have my home wireless network set up as such that I have a MAC address whitelist filter applied on my router. I do this as a security measure, so that only devices with MAC addresses that I have manually configured within the filter list are able to connect via wireless to my router. In order to do this, you need the MAC address of the devices beforehand, so that you can add them to the filter list. Only then will the device be able to connect via wifi to the router. That being said, for whatever the reason, nowhere can the MAC address for this blu-ray player be found. Usually, devices with network capability will have their MAC address either on a physical label on the back of the device, or you can pull it up within the settings menu within the device. That is not, at all, the case with this player. I ended up working with tech support (via online chat, which is a very helpful tool provided by LG, and they were also unable to figure it out. Eventually, the tech support rep and I agreed that in order to find out the MAC address of the blu-ray player, I would need to set up my cell phone as a hot spot, connect to it from the blu-ray player, and then (and only then) I would be able to see what is the MAC address. That is exactly what I did, and only by doing so was I able to get the blu-ray player's MAC address and then added it to my router's MAC filter whitelist. At that point the blu-ray player connected to my home wifi router and it has worked perfectly ever since. That is a problem that truly should be corrected. Either put the MAC address on a label on the back of the blu-ray player, or make it visible within the settings menu. As far as the built-in apps within the player, there aren't very many. More importantly, it doesn't appear that there is any way possible to download apps to the player. Aside from that, I've only had a couple of minor glitches within the operation of the blu-ray player. This occurred when I was using the built-in Youtube app and it seemed to have locked up at some point within the app, to a point that I could not back out of the app, nor do anything to free up the blu-ray player. I ended up having to physically unplug the blu-ray player from AC power and start back over again. In summary, I guess you get what you pay for. The functionality of the player works just fine, both playing discs and streaming across the wireless connection. But at the very least, make the MAC address visible and accessible. I can't say I have ever encountered a device... any device ... where I was unable to locate the device MAC address.

Very Compact

It is basic but priced right. I had issues with wifi connection so not using that. The small footprint is nice too. Very small remote /function buttons so I am using a previous LG dvd remote I still had. No display but just touch "display" on the remote to see remaining time and details. LOVE LG!

Actually works as advertised

I bought this to replace a SONY 4K BluRay player that lasted all of 2 months. This player is fantastic. All of the functions work as advertised and and are easily (and straight forward accessed through the menu screen option. There are plenty of options for connecting the equipment to a TV, sound bar, etc. I have had no problems playing any BluRay or DVD (no matter what region). Using the apps or streaming option is just as simple as playing a disc. Also, the setup for the system is simple enough that anyone that can read can do the setup.

Great at first, but then...

The first 4 months with this unit were pretty good. The unit performed admirably. The on-board wifi with several built in streaming services, including Amazon and Netflix, was lovely. Though the blu-ray performance remained adequate, after a while I started having trouble with streaming. The image would freeze, necessitating unplugging and replugging the unit. And then I started getting error messages saying the unit was no longer connected to the internet. This would interrupt watching even when we weren't streaming. Less than six months, and I requested a refund from LG. The check is, they say, in the mail.

Plays Well and Easy, But Needs Stronger Remote

Had this a month or so and am generally happy with it. My electronics are stored in a closet in the basement and receive signals from remotes via a IR repeater. Other remotes work fine, but this one (1 AAA battery) is difficult for the repeater "eye" to read.

did not meet my expectations

thought I could add more features (disney, etc. but doesn't seem to do it. Can not find anything in manuals that show how to add apps. Menus on player do not allow adding any apps either. To take back to Best Buy would cost restocking fee so will just eat this machine. should have looked harder for what I wanted. live and learn.

It's okay

It only took about 5 days to receive it after I ordered it but when I unboxed it there was no remote control. I called customer service and spent about 10 minutes giving her all the information that LG already had on file. I tried to give her my order number but was told she could not access that info. Probably not an LG employee. I asked that they send it to me 2nd day air since it was their fault and the product could not be used without the remote. She said she would request that. It arrived 7 days later via UPS ground. The product itself came with only 6 apps on it and 3 of them I had never heard of. They don't tell you that in any of their information. Then, the first night I used it it froze up and I had to pull the plug just to shut it down. The next day it seemed to work okay but now I don't trust it.

good features

The big draw back is, it will not save the WiFi code. You have to enter it every time you play a movie.
