I use the projector for my art. Works fine although I wish many of the controls were more intuitive.

This projector was great for almost three years, when the lamp module died. LG advertised that it would last ten years. The replacement module costs more than the entire projector. LG just shrugged their shoulders. Won't be buying from them anymore.

I bought the PH550 because it is portable, compact, and simple to set up. At home I use a splitter and have the PH550 and my TV connected simultaneously so I can use either without connecting or disconnecting one or the other. On the road I use a Dish Tailgater, a Walley, and the PH550 and a 6’ x 4’ screen in my camper so I can have giant screen satellite TV with little or no muss and fuss. Works great! The only negative is the bulb could be brighter.

I originally had purchased a larger 1080 projector for more than double the price but I saw this one and thought it might be a better option. With all of the connections on the back and the Bluetooth connection for audio this is truly an ultra portable projector. I could not be more happy with my decision.

I’ve had this projector for a year now and I’ve traveled with it many times. It’s a perfect footprint, it’s bright and light. Everyone who sees it it’s surprised at how powerful it is for its small size.

This is an excellent little projector. It is battery powered (usually not necessary, but a nice option), and has all the inputs you could want (including a TV tuner). Very nice resolution. It does require a dark environment, but that's to be expected for this type of projector. No regrets at all.

Got this as a Christmas present and it is great. Compact, but with a powerful light. Sound is fine, no problem, but will probably add speakers to get the theater effect.

Pro: Great picture, can change to various sizes to fit the location. Easy to attach Bluetooth speaker. There were cheaper options non-LG products, but we opted for the LG since we trusted the quality. No issues with the PH550 for us. Con: Volume on projector isn't great; but easy to attach speaker.

It simply is not compatible with Netflix and YouTube and any other video content you are trying to project. You'll see just the frame and hear the sound but not the image.

I do recommend the minibeam, specially if you like to watch movies with a large group of people . The only thing is that I lost my charger and it has been ok impossible to find a replacement. Does anyone knows where can I get one? PLEASE HELP!

I was really happy with the PH550 until the battery completely stopped working after just two years of use. There are two reasons why I can no longer recommend this product. 1) When the battery dies the projector becomes useless, it will not work with direct power from the power cable. That is a major design flaw. 2) It is very difficult, if not impossible, to replace the battery. I have contacted multiple LG Authorized Service Centers in Chicago area and no one can help. I tried to order the battery from authorized parts dealers and discovered they don't know what battery to order. Also, the battery isn't easy to replace, you will need technical skill with electronics to replace it, which is another design flaw. So, don't buy this or any LG projector that has a rechargeable battery. You will be disappointed.

I was pleasantly surprised on how good the picture quality of this projector was when I first hooked it up and turned it on. Even at the 100 inch diagonal screen size, the picture was awesome!!! Plenty of adjustments are available on the remote so you can adjust the image quality to your liking. Fan is a little (and I mean a little) loud, but is drowned out by the sound of what you are watching. I am very pleased with this little guy and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a compact and portable projector.

I bought this for work last month while on the road. I wanted to get a smaller device that was more portable and could be carried in my check baggage on an airline without taking up too much space. The PH550 met that requirement. I have been able to use it a couple of times now and it works well. The only weakness is one that I knew about in advance. That is the low lumens output. However, for the price this projector works quite well. I just have to turn out some lights or close shades.

I mainly bought it for two reasons. 1st, to experiment with projection mapping. 2nd, to use for watching movies outside in the summer. The quality of the projector is very good. It has a lot of options to meet my needs.

I use my PH550 for quick setup to conduct lengthy lessons. Very easy set up. Battery operation is adequate but I keep it plugged in because extended battery use, (greater than one hour, the light begins dimming. The picture is sharp! I am very satisfied with the product!

I am using it for last two months. And took it along with me while traveling as well. Very compact and good clarity. Bluetooth disconnected frequently.. not sure abt the issue.. need to contact LG.. otherwise it the best one of this size.
