To this day, a very good phone performs great for games and other activities, although its cooling is not so good, because it heats up the most at the power button, but the performance has not decreased. Instead of the factory system, I put a LineageOS on it and it is as fast as an iPhone 15 and its power is equal to an iPhone 13. Turning to the display, the plain OLED is much better than the "new" AMOLED displays, so it gives a very nice picture. To this day, this phone is an excellent choice

Snapdragon 855 but not worth

I bought this a year ago . It have snapdragon 855 but it is not speedy as it should be . It have heating issue , lags very much . Before the recent update i was able to play games with lag but after they released latest update using the mobile has become a task . It lags so much that you cant now even play music without getting lag .

Model down comparate with lg g7

I had lg g4, v10, stilo 4, g7 and this model g8 decrecrease quality comparate with all these model in their respective times, i tell you my bad experience with the touch, fingerprints and processors, in lg g7 all this spec was working well but my g8 have all these delays, only the camara is according for prestige of the one of the best phones in the world, i love lg phones and i hope lg team stay working for incorporate best models to the market, good luck

Good, but I miss my LG V35

I bought this phone after my lg V35 thinq was stolen when I was in nursing clinicals (that was a great day). I couldn't find a V series unlocked, so I bought this phone. It works well. The dual screen is nice, camera works well, sound is good. Cons: -the fingerprint reader is sluggish. It will work, but it feels a bit antiquated compared to other devices at this price point. It is slow, and it doesn't always work. It honestly isn't a deal-breaker, but it is a problem -the weight. When using dual screens, it is quite large--too large for a pocket--and heavy. I honestly don't use the dual screen often, since it is a bit too cumbersome. However, the phone by itself is still a good device, worth the price point. -I lose service more often on this phone than I did my old. I don't know why, since I have the same the plan and carrier. Overall, I was very happy with my old phone, and this does feel like a step down. If you have the option, I would recommend the V series, instead, but this is still a solid phone. I can't see myself using this phone long term, but it works well enough. I like LG phones; you know the quality will be reliable.

Worst mobile phone LG G8X ThinQ

I bought this an year ago and getting rid of it. Worked fine for the first few months and then issues started with quite frequent screen freezing not allowing me to take calls or listen to music, other weird issue is sometimes calls go out automatically when the phone is pocket even though though the phone is locked.

I LOVE this phone. Way faster than the original G8 that I did have that this replaced. Added a 1TB mSD card to the phone and have quite a bit of power. The only thing I wish was possible is that the phone could be unlocked. I am a developer specializing in Android and with the bootloader and everything locked down, it is hard to do some of the things I am needing to do, but other than that, this phone is great

Great phone when running right

This is not my first LG nor my last. This one however has been my most problematic. Runs very hot, even my second one. The first one would get so hot it would shut down then have to wait 10 min to restart. Bluetooth has issues staying connected, not just headphones but car stereo too. Love the features of the phone tho and the camera is amazing. Even my photographer girlfriend likes it very much.

Loved...except slippery

I got 3 of them in February. They slip right out your hand or where ever you place it. One drop and it's cracked while she was sitting on the floor. Mine dropped and busted then nothing worked. The finger sensor never recognized my thumbs. Now, While texting it would just close out the keyboard. It would freeze. Not the app. The phone would just freeze. Sometimes I would have to turn it off then back on. Still a good phone. Scared my dual screen will not fit my replacement phone.

Total trash hard to hear anyone and reboots consta

Had 2 of these so far neither works as well as a cheap phone. Can barely hear anybody's voice. Both phones reboot every few hours for if left overnight they just. to turn themselves off. Both get very hot like the battery is working too hard.

Worst phone I've ever owned

I got this phone 2 weeks ago and CANNOT wait to get rid of it. It is by far the WORST phone I've ever owned and I've had some pretty bad/cheap ones. It takes forever to load pages in the browser. I have to reload the pages a few times to get them to appear, same with pics/docs sent over MMS. They take minutes to load after getting a text (this is with the 5g showing in the corner, 4g is even slower to load.) To get normal apps like Waze or Uber to run, I usually have to restart the phone. It just hangs and freezes, becomes unresponsive. Tech support has been zero help, not sure that they passed reading comprehension. They are blaming all the issues on the ATT malware/bloatware, which may be the case, but I can't uninstall or remove those programs. The camera is terrible, you have to be at least a few feet away from your subject and there's no macro mode so trying to get a good, detailed, close-up of a small object is nearly impossible. The shutter takes a long time to activate. You press the button, seconds later the picture gets taken so it's usually blurry. The quick action buttons in the top menu are anything but. You have to double verify your actions and select each thing twice. You press the button for mobile data, it gives a pop-up asking if you want to turn on mobile data. Same for Airplane mode and quite a few other functions. I pressed the button to activate that feature, I don't need to verify that I want it activated, I just pressed the button to activate it! Why is it telling me that I'm in Airplane Mode when I take a picture? I'm on a plane, of course it's in Airplane mode, I still need to take a pic. Airplane Mode should NOT affect the camera... So over this phone and the useless, annoying verifications of features that I purposely activate. And really sick of sitting there, staring at the phone, waiting for it to load and respond. This thing is going back, definitely not keeping it.

Never trust LG offers

Never trust LG offers, they seem to have no co-ordination with the carriers and leave customers in the lurch. The customer support for the offers dont even seem to understand the question and there is absolutely no escalation path. Made a big mistake trusting LG, never again

I love the phone, great product, great quality but LG can't get their acts together to provide the updates. Months behind others with Android 10

Cheaply made junk!

My new (three week old LG G8X fell off of my living room chair onto the carpet, and the screen completely shattered. I have never seen anything like this before. The entire thing just crumbled. And on carpet!!!!! Before that, the phone took forever to start up, apps ran very slowly, etc. It also runs extremely hot. I have never seen such a cheaply made cell phone... both the inside AND the outside. I recommend that you save yourself the disappointment. The dual screen is a gimmick too... totally unusable, and makes your phone feel like a heavy brick. I guess that is appropriate though, since now it is one. And now I have to make payments on it for the next two years. Fantastic!

Love this Device...BUT

I am usually a V series person, but could not resist when I say the dual screen at AT&T. Even though I wished it was on T-Mobile, I went for it. The only serious complaint I have is that there is no manual to show you how to use the dual screen. You want people to use the dual screen, but there was nothing in the box or nothing digital that was detailed. I was very disappointed. I can't even find a decent video on youtube to figure this thing out. Bad move, LG.

Nice long lasting battery

The dual screen allows for little to no customization. Cant use any wallpapers except what they give you. Not very many apps allow the wide spread look. I love the phone but very disappointed in the functions of the dual screen. The battery is exceptional as is the wireless charging

One of the best phone I've bought

It is the best in multitasking, and it is only the beginning. The ability of the cameras are good. The keyboard and all its forms fascinate me. There's no way you don't love this phone. Performance, speed, focus, and style are its attributes.

Dual Screen is Biggest Pro AND Con

I absolutely love my new phone. Inside or outside of the dual case it is fantastic. It's even better and more fun with the dual screen. However- due to the phone with the dual screen it makes it too large for me to hold. I have dropped it twice while in the dual case. The first time it just had minor scrapes to the sides. This last time I dropped it the front screen cracked in the corner- the side with the notifications. I know I can't be the only person who drops their phone occasionally. The back is protected in the dual screen, but the front is totally exposed and there's no bumpers on the front sides in the case of a drop. Now I have a new phone with a cracked screen and I feel foolish for buying a delicate phone but I just wanted to have the dual screen excitement. Still worth it- but really disheartening. At least my phone itself is still okay.

IPhone to LG G8X ThinQ

Diehard IPhone user since the first Iphone. I was upgrading from an iPhone X, when I researched the G8X and I am very pleased with the dual screen. The multitasking ability of this phone is amazing over what the IPhone can do. I will purchase the next dual screen upgrade when it's available. If your an iPhone user you won't be disappointed if you make the switch to the dual screen especially if your a business owner wanting a multitasking phone or a gamer.

Finally a phone with 2 screens!

This is the best phone I ever had and I usually buy phones in the upper price range. There is a ton of positive things that can be said and I will only mention the things that I find not perfect about this phone. -Short battery life when used with the second screen. Must be charged twice a day. -Second screen does not come with an additional battery. It really should. Really. -Screen brightness always sets itself higher than it needs to be. It took a few weeks of lowering brightness for the phone to learn it and not go to 100% for every occasion. -6.4 inch screen is definitely big. The phone is too long and falls out of the pocket a few times per day. The dual screen case saves it every time from any damage. I really wish there was a 5.1 inch version. -Phone is slippery. Without a case it's like a wet bar of soap. -Screen is too sensitive on the edges. It's hard to flip the case open and closed without opening an app. -I didn't figure out how to browse web and use second screen as the keyboard to type messages in Google Chrome --->Dual screen feature makes up for all the flaws. It really does. No going back to Galaxy S-series. All single screen phones are dead to me from now on.

Great price!

I bought this phone yesterday. So far I've noticed the speaker phone isn't as loud as my old Galaxy. I also can't find indicator lights for notifications. I am getting the second screen but it's being shipped since the store didn't have them. It's currently free with the promotion at AT&T. I loved the price! I'm excited to use the dual screen when it arrives. I hope it's easy to use and get used to. The one negative thing I read was that the phone can't be in the dual screen case to charge.
