Love these and can't believe discontinued. Just replaced on Amazon $249.95 and added 3 year protection for about $50. Only bluetooth with Google Assistant button too! Bummed out!

I purchased these, to replace identical pair that the wires shorted out in and had quit working. The one I have now, the left side quit retracting months ago so I only had the right side that I could use. Now, the right side has a short in the wire and randomly cuts out. I have to move wire to get it to allow some sound to come through. The retractable ear bud is the most attractive aspect of this item but the quality for functionality fails to deliver. Now that it's been discontinued, I'll have to settle for a less desirable specs, just to have hands free use of my Bluetooth. Thoroughly disappointed. Gave it a 2 rating, as it did work perfectly for a short time.

These are or were the best form factor for headsets. Easy to use and convenient to have ready to use at a moments notice. Previous models were better at filtering background and wind noise for calls. I wish they'd make an updated model that was better for calls, better water resistance, and had ANC. I'm not a fan of true wireless earbuds or full on trucker headsets. I've owned just about every type of headset and these were my favorite but people on the other end of my calls complained about the call quality.

Can't tell when the headset is on. There is nothing that indicates the headset is on and ready to take calls. This headset also did not last a year. I use it daily regular use not extensive and the right ear piece no longer works. For the price of this headset I would have expected the set to last more than a year. Very disappointed in LG because I loved all of the other headsets I have purchased.

Google Assistant will not connect... troubleshooting has been no help. Paid extra for this feature and it is impossible to use.

I feel forced to buy these multiple times per year. They're the only decent quality retractable earbuds on the market that tailor to contractors and field techs. I need them for protecting my hearing while working on engines and listening to music and audiobooks. They last about 6 to 8 months with daily use and then the wires in the flex band break and the headset must be tossed. If they were around $60-70 this would be expected but they don't deliver good value for the price. The audio quality and sound level is better than any previous model (I've pretty much owned them all) and the battery will last all day. If you forget to charge them then a simple 15 minute top off will last you a couple hours. Calling is excellent in a silent environment while wearing a tee shirt. Background noise will make it hard to hear you, you must speak loudly if calling while driving and if you are wearing a collared shirt or a jacket the other party will have trouble hearing you (obviously - the mics need to be totally exposed). The catastrophic failure of this design is without dedicated back and forward buttons these just aren't great for listening to audiobooks. When you lose your place in your book, you'll have to whip out your phone and use the on screen controls because the multifunction volume buttons are just inadequate for seeking in 15 second intervals. The 32bit up-sampling is a bit of a bizarre marketing gimmick. Being able to change to lower latency codecs in phone settings or the app would be amazing for games or videos; nobody cares about 32 bit audio - it's literally a wireless headset not audiophile gear. There are no longer structural issues near the screws, that has been solved with the flex series. They're also AMAZINGLY water ingress resistant. I don't have to fear when wearing these outside in the rain. Parting wisdom: Just because they flex doesn't mean you should. Treat them with the same care you did the platinum plus models and they'll do okay. Electrical tape on the band is no longer required. Also good luck warrantying these. The serial number sticker fell off my second week wearing them.

Terrible quality. Ive had previously two other LG neckbands, had only minor issues. This model had problems after first 3 months of usage. Had to open them up. After less then a year rubber cover of the wiring completely fell apart. Great design, very comfy, much more flexible. But just awful quality of materials and overpriced.

This is my 4th of this style from lg. I think they are great and have great clarity. The only thing I don't love about the newest model is the change from a slide power on/off to a push button.

I've own this for 14 months. Main use button no longer has spring making it hard to use. Wife always complaining being able to hear background noise more that can see can hear my voice. She able to hear things in the background better than I can.

The neckband is flexible, comfortable, and pretty durable. The sound quality is good. However, I've had issues with the retractable wires of the headphones. The right wire sometimes doesn't fully retract, so the right earbud is left dangling. I've sent the headphones back to the LG to get repaired twice now, but it doesn't seem to be fixed. This issue has made the headphones basically unusable.

I have had 3 pair of this model. The sound good but the range sucks. I feel cheated because of the lack of range

The sound quality is excellent! I also appreciate the flexibility in the neck band as they are less prone to breaking. I'm so happy I made this purchase!

I love them, in general, though they tend to last for about a year and a half, then need to be replaced, usually because one side tends to die. Very comfortable, easy to forget you're wearing them, and they last for my entire workday. I really wish the google assistant button was just a generic assistant button, so that on iPhone it activated Siri, or is programmable to do something else, instead of just pointing out that you don't have google assistant.

If you accept buying new one every year or two. You will be very pleased. Understand that this product won't last very long because of his intended usage. Most important thing: they are way better than any true wireless.

Awesome headphones sound good and work well the only thing is the wire gets all damaged when it's rolled inside, the roller thing bites it and damages the wire, I had an older version and lasted almost 4 years, this model at the year started to get bad, two years later still work but the wire looks awful

I love the headset, I am using LG neck headsets since the first one came out and I loved them, this is my 3rd XL7, I like the voice quality but the product is a piece of junk none of them lasted more than 8 months, I sent it in for repair after the left side started to fail but now is 3 months later and the same problem happening again. Thanks LG for servicing me the past few years but I will have to buy different brand

I have been using LG headsets for about 10 years and have had a good experience with all of them. I miss the button to auto retract the earbuds, but doing by hand took verry little time to get use to. Sound and volume is good. unit is light weight and comfortable. The best feature is you never have to worry you will lose a earbud, it's always right there around your neck

***DO NOT BUY*** Terrible product for the price. Mine were a higher end model of the same style but they literally fell apart in less than 1 yr & was denied coverage under the warranty.

I have owed these for the last 4 years. I am very active and they work perfect. Hiking, running, biking. Great for an active life style. Or you can be like that guy in the gym yesterday, crawling around looking for his ear piece. You can not lose these! Love it!

I have for quite some time used similar LG headsets to my satisfaction. This new version is indeed an improvement in many respects. It has great sound and appears to be more durable. It seems to have been significantly redesigned and to the better. The on-off function is a bit more involved. I still haven't figured out the phone answering details. The built in microphones are an improvement. The in-ear plugs are vastly superior to other even very expensive models, eliminate ambient noise and stay in my ear despite vigorous movement. Unlike the other brands that repeatedly fall out. This is fine equipment and indeed a buy.

I first purchased an LG headset back in 2014, it had lasted me until about a month ago. When I bought the new LG headset, I couldn't be more satisfied!

Now I see 3 damaged parts on the left cable cover, not like the SL5 which I used for more than 2 years without any damage on the cable, it has much horrible durability compared to SL5, too bad I found it after one month and cannot get refund

This is the third pair I have bought since 2020. They have good sound and the call quality is fair. But retractable ear bud does not last much past a year if you are lucky. Lg offers a one-year warranty but it is a hassle with all the hoops. The only good thing is it is hard to misplace unlike the wireless airpod.

Hello, I'm a long-time user of the LG tone series. I love neckband headphones, and I find them the most versatile. LG makes some of the best neckband headphones in the market. That's why I have stuck with the brand for so long. However, they do have one vital flaw. They break with repeated use. Back in the day I've re-sautered my LG Tone Pro HBS-760 wire and buds on several occasions. I thought the retractable buds were a game changer, but the repeated pulling of the bud still causes it to wear out, no matter how gentle you are. I get around 9 - 12 months out of my headset before the buds start to go. Although my LG tones are out of warranty, I still wanted to reach out to LG to see if anything can be done, and also to make LG aware of this issue so they can improve on future designs. Suggestion: use retractable metal wire I would be willing to pay a premium to get more life out of my LG tones. Simplelifesaver

They only last a year or two then the earbuds go out. Just about to toss out my 2nd pair. Moving on to a different headset now.

I have owned lg retractable Bluetooth headsets since the original that only broke when it flew off my neck at 70 + mph on a quad. I have had really good experiences since until this unit. I am a very active person wearing these headsets all day long through doing professional conference calls to listening to music while I powered wash heavy equipment and cut trees on the side. The xl-7 may perform well, but the multifunction power button is the worst "upgrade" I have ever encountered.

I loved my HBS model for at least 3 years but I had a hard time finding them lately. Everyday use will break them eventually, I accept that. I really don't like Apple Airpods, and I like the around the neck style more than any other style. This model has better sound then the HBS, it feels way better around the neck and lighter, it's more flexible, the Bluetooth is solid when I have my phone in my pocket and I'm moving around (The HBS would cut out sometimes). The controls are a litt...
