This bag is big, which could be a plus or a minus. It's definitely a plus for packing up two bodies and several lenses, plus your laptop, but it really is too big to pick up and carry as a backpack. Also, it's very square, so it looks like you're carrying a big, square suitcase on your back. That being said, It rolls beautifully, and as long as you don't really have to carry it much, it does what it's supposed to!

If you need a big bag, that is durable, and easily transportable with wheels, this is an excellent choice. If you want a bag for field use, go with something smaller.

I have traveled many air miles with this in overhead cabin storage on Alaska, Southwest, SAS , BA and Northwest Airlines. I do remove the laptop from the case and the rest goes in all the overhead bins I have tried (737,727,747,Airbus,etc.). I work on projects during flights anyway so it is no hardship. I like knowing where my gear is and that it will make it with me to the shoots for sure. Anything really big (strobes, big light stands etc.) I can rent on site anyway. I like to carry various combinations of gear for different jobs and it is flexible enough to accomodate everything I need with movable padded dividers to prevent damage. I even haul it either on wheels or on my back, into the field if I am staying out on a remote location for several hours and just leave anything unnecessary behind. I put food and water in the laptop compartment! It is very flexible.

The stuff is great over all, very practice to customize and access to all equipment, with the great option to keep your Laptop well protected on their own soft case without carrying it when hikking. The only issue comes with the size, too bulky to fit most of the regular airline jets lugaje compartments, due to the deep(most of time you need to convince and show the air crews you are transporting delicate equipment!!!) and negotiate with them to allow to use the coat crew compartments.

A big bag for taking it all with you!
By Phil P.
If you need a big bag, that is durable, and easily transportable with wheels, this is an excellent choice. If you want a bag for field use, go with something smaller.
This bag combines a well-balanced rolling system with the flexibility of a backpack. The lightweight and strong, single pull handle system and sealed-bearing inline skate wheels provide superior performance. When rolling isn't an option, the tuck-away padded shoulder harness and waistbelt turn this versatile bag into a comfortable backpack. A removable padded notebook sleeve can be used alone or placed inside. The main camera compartment includes adjustable padded dividers, a removable accessory pouch and laminated-mesh pockets. Also included: a built-in memory card pouch, a movable Tripod Mount, the patented All Weather Cover, SlipLock attachment loops made from Hypalon, and Batwing compression straps.
