I was looking for a backpack that would take pressure off my back and neck, but still would be large enough to hold my camera, 2 lens and a small purse. I just returned from 10 days in Great Britain, and this backpack worked great. Several velcro pouches are included so you can configure it however works best for you. The top pocket protects the manual, and there is a removable pouch that I used for batteries and other essentials. The otuside pouch holds bottled water and an ouside zipper pouch has pockets for SD cards and room for a small flashlight. The backpack has 2 straps, one that buckles across your chest and the other buckles across your waist to keep the pressure off your back. You have to remove the backpack to get to your equipment as the zipper is on the back. This might be a con for some photographers. If you carry more than two lens or more than one camera, this probably would be too small, but for what I was looking for, it was perfect.

This is one of the smallest backpack that included a tripod mount. That was my main need. All the other backpacks I looked out were a larger, and I am Sick of large roomy cases/backpacks for my tiny Sony NEX with 3 lens. This is the one I've been looking for, and the more I use it, the more I like it. It has a large handle at the top of the pack, and a side zipper pockets with small holders sewn in. (think pen holder, card holder) The other side of the pack will fit a water bottle, perfect for a day trip hiking etc.. The inside has a removable pouch that is held in by Velcro. It is held in very tight, and I actually never removed mine. That pouch is a sturdy box, with a zipper on the front. It's about 4" tall, 6" deep & wide. I keep the charger, spare battery, extra cables and lens adapters in it. There is also a pouch on the backside of the main zipper lid that can hold filters etc. The only complaint I have,(a little annoyance) is to access the equipment. You access the main compartment from the back side, which is safer, but the zipper protector continuously gets in the way of opening & closing it. I think it'll get better over time. Like I said, it's one of the smaller backpacks available, and before you purchase it, measure your equipment, and be sure it will fit! My MIL camera fits in there perfect, along with 3 lens and a cleaning kit, with little room to spare. It will fill up Real quick with a full size DSLR and lens.

This is a great pack. The design is obviously well thought out. It's compact, but makes very efficient use of space so that it fits a surprisingly amount of gear. (Mine swallows my DSLR, 3 lenses, cables, and charger, and still has room to spare. Still, it is the smallest pack in the Flipside series so you need to make sure it'll fit everything you want to put into it. The construction and protection on offer are excellent for a pack of this type and price. The only knock I have is that you trade off some access convenience for the additional security of rear access to the main compartment. Its a worthwhile trade in my opinion.

Nice back pack, a little small than I expected but it holds my nikon d7000 with battery grip, 18-105mm, 55-300mm, 35mm, 50mm and I didn't need to remove the accessory pouch.

Great portability, easy access to gear, holds one or two bodies and a couple of lenses. Handy zippered side pocket is great for cards, cleaners, etc.

Bought for a vacationing bag. It is perfect for 1 camera and an extra lens, not enough room for much more. 360 degree access is great idea but slightly cumbersome for anyone with a belly (like myself). I would definitely recommend this for a day pack or beginner.
