In preparing for a trip to Asia I decided to replace my sling model Lowepro camera bag with a backpack model. The Fastpack 250 has a larger capacity, allowing me to pack all my camera gear in the main compartment and my binoculars, all medicines and a few other necessities for travel in the spacious upper compartment. This has eliminated the need for another carry on bag for these essentials. Great! My only wish is that the bag might be made of lighter material to reduce weight. The Fastpack 250 was a great buy for a great product!

I've been looking for a camera bag like this one for some time. I was able to get all the camera equipment I previously hauled around in two bags into one along with my laptop. I can also pack my camera with 60-250 f4 zoom lense attached and access it easily.

Just the bag I wanted for vacation, allows me to include my laptop with my camera gear for travel. Lots of space in the bag and pockets for storage of both camera items, cables & general stuff. I always buy Lowepro bags and this is another great one to add to my selection. Like the blue color and it overall doesn't come across as a camera bag, just looks like a normal backpack.

I own a Tamrac Speedpack 75. When I load it with two heavy Nikkor G series lenses, it's very rough on the shoulders (though with just one lens mounted on the camera, it's ideal for urban exploration). Saw this one on sale and tried it out. I used it loaded with three lenses, flash, extra batteries, etc., and ventured out in the July heat to hike a Wilderness trail. Yes I sweated, but the hip belt placed the weight on my waste, and my back was happy. I had quick access to the camera, which slid in and out w/o hanging up. I pack a rain cover in the upper section for added protection. It's bulkier than the smaller Tamrac, but sooo much more comfy with a load. Different packs for different jobs, I guess.

I was looking for something that allowed me to get my DSLR, several lenses and other equipment in one backpack - the Lowepro Fastback 250 fits the bill. You can spin it around and access your camera from the side. I am able to store both my Macbook Pro and an iPad 2 in the laptop space. The top pouch will hold a lot of equipment (you could actually put another DSLR in this pocket). There are lots of pockets for batteries, memory cards, etc. The only possible negative is the lack of a tripod holder. Overall, it is a great item.

I use this for daily use. It's the right size for my camera, a couple of extra lenses and accessories such as cables, filters, extra battery and a few personal supplies. I really like the side pocket for holding a water bottle. The only thing missing is straps to attach a tripod to the pack.

I bought this Fastpack for traveling. It will fit under a plane seat and holds all the gear I would take including a laptop but not a tripod. It will double as a light hiking/biking pack: remove laptop and unnecessary gear, add lunch or snacks. I love having all the compartments to organize things plus a place for a water bottle. If your camera and lenses are very large, you won't have much room for extras. You may be able to fit camera with lens and 1 extra lens. Camera compartment can be customized with the padded, repositionable dividers. You could use the upper accessory compartment for another lens or body. With a mid size camera and not big lenses, I am able to fit quite a lot in. The shoulder straps are very comfy, well padded, so with camera stuff and a heavy laptop it is not a difficult burden and leaves my hands free for other luggage. Under normal conditions I have not even used the waist strap leaving it folded up against the pack. The material seems rugged and overall looks well made.

Great pack for a photo safari day. Enough room for 2 cameras, your laptop and several accessories (extra lenses and flash) + straps for tripod. The waist support makes it very comfortable as well.

This is truly the perfect camera backpack. It has just the right amount of space, feels great, has a side compartment for easy access to your camera, and lots of room for lenses and other odds and ends.

I really like this backpack. It is lightweight and has a lot of room to store my extra camera supplies. I like that I will be able to carry my laptop in it as well since that is how I house most of the photos that I take.

A good solid bag that holds all of my camera gear. The laptop compartment increases the bulk noticeably, which may be a drawback if you don't have a laptop. I don't, but I put some flashes back there and will carry my GPS and my son's iPad there when these items can't be left in the vehicle. The straps are comfortable and well placed. The compartments are a good mix of big and small. The camera compartment should be able to carry just about any camera and lens, but there will be a limit to how many additional lenses will fit. I have a T3i with attached zoom plus three other lenses and filters in the camera compartment. The largest zoom is in its own case in the cargo compartment above. Very pleased with it so far. The lack of a sternum strap is the only flaw I see at this point. On a longer hike this may make the bag less comfortable to carry. But these straps are available at low cost from outdoor supply stores and I intend to add one shortly.

The backpack is well made with high quality. It can hold one body with a lens attached, three extra lenses and one flash light. The shipment was fast and on time. Got a bargain price from adorama. Love it.

I like to go on day trips to parks and in the city. There is a lot of room for lenses and such. It is not as comfortable as my student backpack, however, it is not bad enough to give it a lower star. It is just a different backpack than what I am used to. Overall, it is a great bag! Happy picture taking!

Bag worked great for traveling but is large and stiff for everyday shoots around town.

I took this bag on a Galapagos vacation and used it every day. It held my canon 7d, my wifes point & shoot along with memory cards, water bottle etc. Kept our equipment dry on zodiac rides, provided easy access to the 7D and was comfortable enough to wear all day, every day.

First off, let me say that I have a limited budget, and I'd been considering a more affordable but smaller photo backpack, but then I saw that this one had everything I needed for a very reasonable price: 1. Room for multiple lenses 2. Laptop compartment (up to 15") 3. Plenty of room for other personal items, i.e. iPod + accessories, laptop speakers, small books, phone, etc. 4. Water-resistant fabric. I have yet to actually test this feature, but it's something I'll definitely be taking advantage of in the future, because I occasionally go on camping trips. I use this to store and tote around my Nikon D90 with 18-105mm VR, and eventually a few extra lenses when I can get them. The main camera compartment is actually somewhat big, so a large DSLR like the D3s would probably fit quite snugly. Some have said that there are no tripod straps; there are, you just have to look around. While they're not meant for tripods, the two buckles that secure the flap at the bottom can easily be used to attach a small to midsize tripod, just not for long periods of time. After a while, they will start to loosen by themselves, but it's definitely better than nothing. One last thing: the laptop compartment is great for carrying books that aren't very thick, so it's not just for laptops. All in all, its a great pack, and I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to carry more than just their camera around.

I've taken this on several trips already. It has enough room for a laptop, a camera with two lenses (maybe 3), a flash, filters and miscellaneous accessories. My chief complaint is that there isn't really anywhere to strap a tripod, but it's really not made for that. It's a great travel backpack and fits my 15" laptop perfectly.

Roomy enough for 2 zoom lenses, a fixed lens, SB-600 flash, filters, battery chargers, extra gear and a water bottle. Almost a perfect camera back-pack. A tripod strap/holder would make it perfect. I am very pleased with the performance of this product.

I love this bag! It's roomy enough for my photo (camera body, flash, and 3-4 lenses)and pc gear, and has a pouch to hold extra stuff (like keys and such)! It's well constructed and gives me a good sense of security... and its not the least uncomfortable to wear!

This is the handiest pack I own. I've tried so many packs (have a closet full) and this is the best. Great for air travel as it is small enough to fit overhead, has great access to my pro SLR with 18-200 mounted lens without opening the rest of the equipment. Holds laptop, and monopod also. Well made, comfortable to wear--weight distributed over BOTH shoulders and waist. Couldn't be happier with the bag.

What I really like about this product is that I don't have to carry both a laptop bag and a camera bag when I travel. It's just the right size for a camera, a couple of lenses, a flash, etc., and a laptop. On top of that, it's easy to access the main camera compartment without opening up the whole bag.
