Great overall
Very comfortable to carry around. I haven't used it fully loaded with a bunch of lenses yet, but so far it's been a joy to use and even fit my travel tripod perfectly in the pouch. Seems like it's going to hold up well and plan to be using it for many years. Something that can be improved--just wish the outer pocket was better thought out. It seems like it was just a second thought with the two pockets and the fabric seems cheap and thin. Not sure how well those will hold up.

Are you serious about your photography gear? This bag is definitely for you. I upgraded from another Lowepro bag because I now take a laptop and a drone on long travels. This bag is comfortable, secure, and has several compartments, including a tripod. I am a long-time Lowepro fan; I started with a Slingshot Edge 250 AV, then another, and now the Flipside BP 300 AW III. Fantastic comfort. It's time to meet the Flipside BP 300 AW III Camera & Laptop Backpack in Black, the latest iteration of the world's most popular photo backpack. This redesigned model boasts a plethora of enhancements, including a more robust fabric, feature upgrades, and a shift from the less frequently used 'rear-hip access' to a quicker side access and a stowable waist belt.
The Flipside III has evolved into a rugged outdoor backpack, equipped with additional protection features to enhance its durability and ease of use. We've incorporated upgraded zippers, molded EVA bumpers, and a tough front PU coating to shield your gear from wet ground and surfaces.
The Flipside III stands out as a secure rear-access backpack, offering a completely new user experience. We've moved away from the Flipside II's "on-hip rear access" in response to feedback from photographers. This change has enabled us to introduce side access and a stowable belt.
You can set the Flipside III on its front for full rear access, keeping your gear safe and your back free of ground debris. We've also added an easy-grab rear handle and front protective bumpers, enhancing the bag's usability and durability.
The Flipside III has been transformed into a rugged outdoor backpack with full rear access and added protective features. These include molded components, highly abrasion-resistant front reinforced bumpers, and a 10 mm YKK zipper with Lowepro pullers for smoother zipper action and excellent durability.
The exterior fabric with PU coating provides waterproofing and extra protection from the elements. The bag's grab handle allows you to move the bag more easily when you take it off, lay it down, and zip open the access panel.
The thermoformed front reinforcements provide high abrasion resistance for a rugged outdoor design experience, keeping your gear safe and you clean! The new divider layout allows rapid access to lenses and enables you to arrange a mixed kit setup for both camera and non-photo zones.
The Flipside III features a side opening to provide secondary access to gear for quick lens changes. It carries a DSLR or Mirrorless camera kit with a portrait grip with up to a 70/200 lens attached, plus 3-4 extra lenses. It can also be easily configured for a drone, such as the DJI Mavic.
The backpack includes a removable, padded interior top pocket for cords and chargers. The new side access allows for quick access to lenses or camera (without portrait grip), facilitating an easy change of gear. The Flipside III's secure rear access gives you a full view of all your equipment, making it easier to get to your gear. It features molded rail dividers and standard dividers which bend around a variety of shapes for multiple configuration layouts.
