First, I want to thank Adorama to carry this studio stands, I have an avenger stand now this, the copy of avenger with a great price. A pair of this stands are more than a first for any level photographer, all I can say is, stop thinking and go for it, get two, why two?, well shooting in a sunny day two stands can hold a big screen to cover a model and shoot with super soft light, in the studio, one stand can hold a boom and the other a large reflector to light the face and create the hollywood lighting effect. I've had the Gemini 2x1 soft lights since they were first delivered. Now I own 2, considering a 3rd. Such an amazing key light source, Always the first light on the truck. Color agility and effects are great, but not an everyday use option. The preset bi-color temps are wonderful, great dimming range. I use a Softbox or additional diffusion for a wonderfully soft source, but works great without when space/time doesn't allow.

I've owned a 2x1 Gemini for 3 years and only now have I started having problems with the dimming system which now responds lazily or sometimes not at all to inputs. The light still has accurate color, is bright, well designed, easy to use and light weight. In comparison to the Sky Panel, it is slightly less bright, much simpler to use, better maintains color accuracy, way lighter and has a better cooling system design. The S60 has a more even spread than the Gemini but it isn't enough to make it worth buying.

I love these lights. Easy to install the new firmware. Much lighter than a Arri Skypanel S60, with less hassle without a ballast. Quick access with preset buttons. Everything seems to be in the right location on these. Great investment for anyone looking to have a light that is capable of providing you with excellent output across the CCT or RGB spectrum.

I considered this light long and hard vs the ARRI S-60 for the purposes of a key interview light that can double for narrative / commercial work. Here's my line of reasoning and comparison between the two:-Power. This light is ~10% less powerful than the ARRI, which imo is a wash.-CRI. This light actually scores substantially better than the ARRI on color, and also does NOT have the green spike prominent in the ARRI.-Cost. At almost half the cost -Weight / Size. I'm often setting up solo, so a built-in ballast makes life that much easier. It's also lighter than the ARRI.-Effects / DMX Options. ARRI edges Litepanel out here a bit, however this is only because the gemini is new. Litepanel has already brought out more effects and support here since release, which gives me confidence they'll continue supporting and expanding on it.-Kelvin Range. 2700 - 6000 for Gemini, 2600 - 10000 for ARRI.So. What are you spending twice the money on with ARRI? Mostly the name.

I can't say enough how awesome this light is. The color, brightness and built-in effects mode is top notch. I only purchased one but now I want to purchase 3 more because they're just that great. Easy to use, super simple to setup, and easily fills a medium size room with light on its own.

Very impressed with this light! Honestly, I like almost everything about this light more than the Skypanel. Cleaner color, lighter weight, great interface, nearly the same output. The versatility is incredible and I love the built-in effects. They seem to continue to add more value to the light through firmware updates.

This is a sky panel killer. In today's world of LED lighting, this is a must have, and at about $1000-1500 less than the ARRI, but still 90% the power output, this is a must-have for any DP or Gaffer. The colors are great, it's easy to use the BT dongle. It's easy to switch between settings. And I love the presets. It's light (about 20 lbs). I recommend the softbox and 40 deg grid. Andrew

It works great as a key light...allows me to use free light coming in from outside and works with my tungsten lighting. Even works outside with my HMI lights. Haven’t had a chance to use the gel settings yet.
